Hey guys, im playing standard roto yahoo, was too lazy to draft so i just did auto. I ended up with KG. My team is doing BAD!! Would it be wise to try and trade KG, his production is bad, coz he doesnt have to do everything now. The only offer ive gotten so far is Dirk, but i dont see the advantages of that trade. I only have Nelson and now Telfair as PG's(Bibby on the bench). Should i try and get say, someone like Baron Davis?

I would try for Baron and someone else thrown in.
If KG needs to he can have some huge games.

If you trade KG it should be for multiple players and depth to improve your team. Not to Dirk, or Baron, etc.. No 1-1, unless it's one of the rare guys that might be "better" than KG this year. But who is that? Maybe Lebron. Otherwise, go for depth.

Thanx for your help guys. I was able to move KG and Granger for Redd and Baron Davis. I desperately needed 3's and assists... so im happy with the move...
OR did i get shafted??? lol

Mike D - be quiet or Ref will hear you say that Dirk isn't as good as KG! :)

beebop - I'm thinking you could have probably even left Granger out of the equation and moved just KG (and your worst player) for two good players (i.e. a Redd/Baron combo if those were your weakest categories).
For me, my only fear is that Baron is injury prone.

Whats the waiver wire looking like? sort Last Month (sometimes I even do Last Week) stats and tell us the top 5-10 names there and maybe let us know who is on your bench to see if there is anything to gain there.

3's and Blocks are easy counting spots to pick up points... so a hot guard (Anthony Johnson, James Jones?) or a shot blocker (Sean Williams?) with some potential could be worth an add.

I only just picked up Telfair aswell to get some extra assists to go with Nelson. I had maggette and Iguodala at SG/G. KG, martin, Bosh were my F's. Then Heywood/Wallace my C's with Granger and Outlaw at Util.
So now Maggette is on my bench for a few days with Kevin Martin and Bibby.(dont think i should drop either of these 2).
Stevenson, Thomas, Williams, Nachbar, Dampier, Rondo, Thomas, Jianlian, Johnson and Quinn.
At the moment, the only 2 guys i can see myself dropping is Telfair/Martin. Half the league already seems dead, so i wanted to make sure i got a deal done.

Definitely don't drop Kevin Martin... he's worth waiting on and we are less than a month away from his return. Bibby for similar reasons.
Telfair is your chopping block guy (if needed)... Foye will be back early in the new year.

Then again, assists seem to be your biggest hole right now... Baron is a good start there. Maybe stick with Telfair for a bit and keep an eye on Anthony Johnson. One or the other should hold you over til Bibby returns.

You might want to consider Sean Williams for Haywood - Haywood has been solid (but not really spectacular)... Sean had 8 blocks in his first start. If it looks like he gonna keep it up... I'd drop Haywood (or Telfair) for him.

I had Sean Williams earlier in the season... got sick of him. Lol.
Im gonna wait and see how he performs tonight before i make a decision. I was thinking Johnson too, just havent had the time to check the status of Law and co, as i vaguely remembered hearing something on SC a few nights ago or reading somewhere that Law will cut into his minutes in the near future?
I had to go after Baron, even with his injury risk, he was a major factor in me winning 2 leagues the last 2 seasons, couldnt pass up on not having him 3rd time round.
Telfair was just a plug until i could find another PG, Nelson is serviceable as a No.2 PG IMO. So Telfair can be played at Util to bump the assists until he loses minutes/production, or if Bibby returns before then. If the league was more active, i would try trade Iguodala or Maggette possibly aswell for when Martin returns. I have since benched Wallace and put Bosh at C and put Maggette back into the lineup. Haywood has been 12-10-1 the last week, so im still happy with the production from him, but i was close to dropping him a few weeks back. Im keeping an eye on Jianlian aswell, he appears to be waking up a bit recently.

Thanks for all your guys help. After the trade, KG puts up a nice game and B Diddy puts up a stinker! lol. But he made up for it today..

Got a trade offered to me in my other league, i took it straight away. Not sure if im missing something here? I get Aldridge for Harrington. This guy also traded away Iguodala for Dunleavy.

Aldrige is an upgrade over Harrington, unless you are dying for Harringtons 3's.

He should help cushion the blow on the rebounding and blocks lost when losing KG - so thats a good add.

Just wondering if someone could give me an objective view of this trade disregarding how i may be going in specific categories. I think my judgement is being skewed in this one so I would appreciate any comments.

Kidd & JRich for Deron Williams & TMac

Thanks in advance.

I like Kidd/JRich. Didn't run stats. Just a gut. TMac too injured/unreliable.

Yeah McGrady is the big unknown in the equation. I suppose I just am getting sick of kidds percentages and think that JRich's trade value would be at it's highest at this point. I think the gut says Kidd/JRich though.
