0 Subject: 1/9 Chucky down the Hill - Action Thread

Nuggets' guard Chucky Atkins will have surgery for a sports hernia next week, putting the rest of his season in doubt.

He probably won't even be cleared to run for two months and should be out for approximately three months, so he's obviously no longer worth owning. Secondly, if you weren't convinced it was time to pick up Anthony Carter before this news, this should seal the deal.

Suns forward Grant Hill will undergo an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night which will sideline him for about two weeks.

Hill had started all of Phoenix's 34 games this season, his longest run of consecutive games played since he was in Detroit in the 1999-2000 season. Hill fell ill this morning and was sent to the hospital by the Suns' training staff. This is a tough break for his owners and Leandro Barbosa, Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Marcus Banks will all see an increase in value over the next couple weeks.

Calderon: 18.5 at the half. That's reasonable.

cause sam mitchell doesn't understand the word rotation, so he yo-yos his players' time...other than calderon and bosh

5: So you're saying you can't count on Toronto players getting consistent minutes from game to game? Delfino did well for me for a long time, but must have fallen from grace, as he now only gets about 13 min/game. Don't these coaches know that there is a whole fantasy world out there that relies on their predictability???? Sheesh.

His last three games have been <20 .
We could get that out of a cheaper player--Louis, for instance!
But maybe he'll break 20 tonight. I guess I'm "oh, Yi, of little faith"

Sorry for my asking but wasn't your season over long before already with your GMD team apparently having been abandoned weeks ago?!?

#30 Ouch.

#29 would have enjoyed seeing that matchup very much. If only I and the rest of Pacer Nation weren't watching Tinsley jack up 26 shots to lose in OT to the suns. I think in the OT he took like the first five shots and probably like 10 of 13. Oh well, they played with a lot more intensity than they had recently, but by midway through the fourth, both teams were like totally out of gas. Several players were unavailable due to injury and/or emergency surgery.

what crawled up your ass and died?

work has been nuts since the end of november and with 3 different rosters on my 3 teams i chose to only concentrate on the top one.

its not like i shut my gmd team down in the middle of a gmd period. i told my team it was probably a good idea to drop me and they did.

Sorry, I meant no offense at all and I apologize if I didn't manage to put it in the correct way in a language which is not my mothertongue. I understand about your stress at work and I also understand if you put the focus on the best of your multiple teams. I was under the erroneous assumption that a team having 23 banked trade must have been abandoned. I now know this is not the case so please accept my apologies. No hard feelings.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Doc. And I never felt you'd be acting as a smart-ass BTW. So don't make yourself worse than you are, mate.
