From the BW GMD thread:
On the other side of the coin...not sure if it is all that different than entering a bunch of teams in different divisions.
I have a bunch of teams in different divisions and I dont think the comparison is same.
TSN specifically allows manager to win more than 1 league prize.
Not only does TSN allow it but they encourage it by allowing managers to buy teams at a discount if they buy multiple teams.
I think the problem here is enforcing the rule that you can only win one WWR prize per person.
If I set up an account for MRS. Weykool and Weykool JR and I assure TSN that they are managing their teams independently would my household be able to win 3 prizes?
What if I create another account for Fido Weykool and assure TSN that my dog barks out when he wants to make a trade and what players he likes.
What if I were to get 10 other memebrs of my family to open accounts and send out E-mail telling them what moves to make and we split the 10 WWR prizes. (assuing I ever learn how to play the game right)
In the end it comes down to those of us who like the game to operate under the honor system.
There are just too many loopholes and too many ways to circumvent the rules.
I dont think it is fair to tell managers if they dont like a team circumventing the rules to just beat that team.
The rules are there for a reason.
While there are many mangers who would play if there were no prizes, my guess is there are far more who would not play if the prizes were removed.
The rule is there to encourage more participation in the game.....and lets face it we need all the participation we can get.
In this specific case I am not under the illusion that BW owes any of us an explanation.
However, since the question has been raised, and in the interest of full discosure and goodsportsmanship it would be nice if BW did offer an explanation.
