Thought I understood the "undo trades" rule until I just tried to undo a trade from earlier today following the Brandon Roy news:
Roy listed as doubtfull for Friday.... urgh!!!!!
Was able to undo my trades on the team I was working with.. But then went to undo them on a team I bought Roy on before dinner.
I was unable to undo that one!!! Why not??
Then I read the fine print:
Instructions:
Transactions can be undone using the "undo trades" feature until the next gametime freeze, regardless of when those players are playing. For example, any trades made during the week can be undone until the first game of the week, but once the game starts none of the trades can be undone with the "undo trade" feature. Any trades made after the first game of the weekend can be undone until the next set of games begins.
I GUESS the 7pm game froze me out on the trades I made before dinner!! But I was allowed to undo the trades made between 7pm and 8pm on the other team since the "next set of games" did not begin... A dumb, stupid rule! Fortunately for me it affects a non-GMD team that is roughly 750 points behind Bandwagon.... so it won't hurt me!
Anyone else learn a stupid rule the hard way?? We ought to have a post for these to help the less experienced players! Post what you learn here; this is not meant to be gripe thread! |

I had the same problem earlier when I tried to to undo my trade into Hill.
I wanted to pick up JRich instead.
But the 1st game of the day had already started.
Hill score 81.5 points before going getting injured and I traded into SJax just in time for his 7.5.
The four games from JRich was 171.5 so I lost 82.5 points and a trade.
This was my GMD team.
That being said I knew about the rule and dont have a real problem with it.
The reason it is set up this way was there were some abuses in baseball where managers were undoing trades when their pitchers got bombed in an earlier game and they were able to undo the trade and pick up a pitcher with a later start time.
There would need to be a significant amount of programming added to the undo feature to double check the start times of the players involved in the undo transaction.
I'm sure if TSN put thier minds to it they could program the undo to take into account the specific start times but it seems there could also be a greater likelyhood for mistakes and that might not be worth it.
I for one am just happy that we have the undo feature that allows us to undo trades from a misclick.
One of the things I always do on Saturday or Sunday is wait until the early games have started before making any trades for the late games.
That way if there is late breaking news i can undo a trade or two.
