I must warn you.

Today i will welcome Ron Artest on my team. And Al Jefferson too. Chandler and Josh Smith must both go. Smith (and Chandler too) is really not a must trade but he will definitely lose money today and on tuesday because so many attractive options are out there. And tomorrows matchup against San Antonio will not help him staying on most of the teams.
I will skip Deron Williams because i think Ginobili is a must have for his 8-12 starting on thursday.

Looks like we have 5 Roy owners. My plan is Roy => Gino, which I was going to do in 3 days anyway.

Looks like we shed 3 Josh Smith's yesterday, I guess I should have seen it coming, but wow. I wouldn't have traded him anyway.

I would have thought a this point in the season with only 6 or so weeks left, we would have been focused less on money.

Well Im a Roy owner too - could it be any different? :(

And am prolly also doing Gino then.
Problem is I had Turk to Gino planned(together with Amare to Duncan) and dont really see who to get from Turky then. I guess VC seems my best bet then.
Unless I wait on Gino and grab West today.

Thoughts?

Concerning Josh, I sold because I needed few 100k since my Kaman route abruptly got cancelled, and another Center couldnt hurt.(Al Jef)
So its Kamans fault :)

Dave,
Smith move was (meant to be) a point move I think in most sellers mind. With 2 of his next 4 being SA & BOS and after a - relatively- disapointing stretch recently, that was bound to happen. I do plan to pick him back on 3/4.

The consensuel Roy -> Gino for me too. I may take this opportunity to reshuffle my roster a little bit as Hill and Hedo are getting on my nerves.

Two quick questions:

1. What will you do with LeBron next week? I think a one game advantage trade makes no sense. Then you can hold. Only a two game advantage will. So the candidates are Dirk, Kidd, Kobe, Duncan, Odom, Ginobili, Gasol. Or did i miss something?

2. How many games under 30 TSNP will you allow Calderon on your team before you think about selling?

1. Lebron seems a hold to me right now
2. Toronto's sked is still so good/long, no intention of selling.... yet.

1. Quickly considered a James -> Nowitzki on Thursday but will probably hold off.
2. None. Meaning that if he subperforms again Wednesday, he's gone Thursday.

1. I agree that if we're talking about the King, it requires a two game advantage to make a sell worthwhile. Which is why I also agree that the seven guys you mention are the only options. However, I'm still undecided whether one of these seven even is worth the trouble! I guess I'll see what I feel like on Thursday.

2. None at all. Actually, I'll already cut off the first three letters from his name today and go Cal>Deron, pun intended. ;) Along with Pierce>Boozer BTW. These two upgrades are facilitated by swapping a guaranteed DNP in Watson for the dead-cheap roster filler Brewer. He isn't a great option but the best in his low price range. Which combined with his flex should enable me to swap 9 studs with almost no financial or positional restrictions. Hope that this will compensate for the sub 20 avg I'm fully expecting from him.

Despite last night being a nice night, today looks like hell.
I have 4 trades and could use them all already.
Lebron is questionable for friday.
Calderon is in free fall.
And Turky/Amare need to go because of their sked.
This is going to be fun. Not.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks.

I am in the same situation like you. The only difference is that i have one trade more.

Keeping Stoudemire is an option for me too. I survived a 2 game Duncan week so i think i will survive this week with only two Stoudemire games left too.

I don't know what to do? Duncan and Gino are set even when i think that Gino will drop in production now that Parker is healthy.

I will look for longterm schedules like Rafer Alston from Houston and adding flex players.

Stoudemire and Calderon are gone today. Not sure for Lebron yet.

I guess he probably moved Lebron and Calderon from post freeze.

Calderon goes today, and most likely Amare to TD and mystery man. Not that I am trying to be secretive, I just don't know :) Already have Manu.

Not sure what to make of the Lebron issue, was planning on holding and if I was sure he plays tomorrow, would definitely hold.

Dirk would be a short term answer, Marion a longer one .

If Lebron thinks he will be ready to play, then I think I will hold him then.
Cuz if I sell it will be tough to get him back with my shortage of trades.

I think LeBron will play tomorrow, nontheless for the flow of the rotation of my team and the big losses holders will take tonight and on the next days, I decided that the King has to leave the building.
Will go James, Stoudamire, Calderon to Kobe, Duncan and I dont dare to say it Maggette.
Plan for next wednessday: Kobe, Odom, B. Miller to James, Camby and prolly Alston.

No worries Gescom, Dave's correct in that I already made two moves this morning, so my trade column is in good order. Reason I made the moves early was that I'll be out tonight and didn't know whether I'd be able to do them in the early evening. Besides, today's moves were so clear cut that I didn't have the slightest hesitation to pull off either of them. Actually I dropped LBJ/Amare (and not LBJ/Calderon as Dave suspected) - but that's only because I ditched Jose two days ago already! ;) If Calderon still was on my roster, he'd leave today for sure. Amare of course has been a long-planned sell so I'm joining today's consensus move to Duncan.

As for LBJ, I wanted to sell him even before the injury news so the tweaked ankle sealed it. It does sound like he will try play through it, but I don't want find out tomorrow he doesn't. Manu (who will also see a lot of buys from Calderon) will be my Lebron exit. It might backfire point-wise if Lebron goes nuts but I guess it won't. In any case it will harvest a significant money swing. The freed money can then be used to get Lebron from whatever player (except Brewer) next Wednesday. If the King's healthy that is.

Am I crazy to consider Kurt Thomas?
2.16 and FC, can be held for awhile, and I think he will do well next to TD.
Oberto is no comp and I see him starting sooner than later.

Tim Thomas I kind of like too indeed, but hes a bit injury prone. And what if Brand all of a sudden decdies to screw me over and play.
It also seems TT's production is a bit inflated when no Kaman.
And then there is Thornton too.

Blount well that is actually not a bad idea either...

Hmm turnabouts you just made it more complicated :)

Its my last trade, Amare interests me most right now.

And then when Wade shuts it down, which I read on rotoworld, then I can shut it down too. ugh.

Currently thinking Bosh>Amare too. But no way you're shutting it down, mate! If Wade shuts it down, you only lose one game this week and can move him to anybody on Wednesday. BTW, there has been talk of him shutting it down for months now and he hasn't done it so cheer up! :)

Btw, the next few days are gonna be hectic for me, am moving to a new house, and need to wait till the telephone company fixes the switch too :)
And in the South of Spain everything goes a bit slower.
An internet cafe will prolly be the temporarily solution.

Would have liked to go Bosh --> Gino, but don't have the flex. Amare I planned on getting from another source (Kidd)in a couple of days, so I opted for Maggette and that will leave me the $$ needed to go Odom -->Lebron Wed.

By the way i'll marry my french girlfriend this summer, so I will have french family as well. :)

For me today Miller/Al Jef to Iverson/Camby.
I could simply do Miller to Melo, but I dont want Melo. I want Camby.
Aside doing something with Paul later on this week, I have no other plans.

I understand that Miller>Camby seems a very natural move position-wise - but is nobody concerned about the news about Camby a while ago that it could be he'll sit out a game from time to time? Or has this news been revoked and I missed that it has? Just curious.

BTW, of course I'll be selling Miller too (thanks Brad for the great job you've done for my team!) but I'm just not sure whether Camby is the best target.

Odom --> LeBron as planned.

With the "sell" Miller talk I decided to do the same all though I probably took a McRiskier route than the rest of you.

Actually Camby is the guy mentioned by many ... so it may not be riskier.

Funnily enough I'm pretty much set on the McRisky route myself. It's not often you get a triple-double potential go-to guy for less than $7m. So it could well turn out be a McRewardy route. Especially as (unlike the DEN guys) he doesn't face the Spurs twice this week.

I need your help.

I have 4 players who must go this week: Paul, Artest, BMiller, Al Jeff.

All 4 play today so i can wait what will happen and look again tomorrow what to do with my team.

But on the other hand BMiller will lose big today and i really like Camby (@soulman: i think he is worth the risk) but i have not enough money. So i must throw another player in the mix and Al-Jeff is the one i thought of. He was not so good in his last games and the next three games are on the road where he is not so good.

Then there is KG. His schedule is big but is he back to give us around 45 TSNP???

I don't really like Anthony and Iverson. Denver plays 2 games this week against SA which can be really bad games for shooters like AI and Anthony.

So many questions and i think you can really have big problems the next time when you pick the wrong ones this week.

And what about Marion or Kidd tomorrow?

If everybody from our gmd team have a good plan for my team please let me know.

For me it was like I posted in 79 (minus prolly).

Don't think Camby is more a risk than T-Mac, and it has to snow in August to make me buy McGrady. But good luck!

Turnabouts, go with your strongest feeling, today's trading (if you already have LeBron) is just about luck (pointwise)!

I think the Camby news Soulman is talking about is the knee injury from a month ago. I don't seem to recall any thing since and seems like all is fine.
Choosing Tmac or Camby is a risky proposition in either case, I don't think one is any more of a risk than the other.

I'll take a chance that Camby will continue his 7 TSNP/g average over Tmac and stays out of the infirmary.

BTW, Soulman, unless you are making a double trade, I don't think you have the flex for Brad to Tmac. He isn't a G/F this year.

Dave, you're correct that the Camby news I was referring to was from a month ago. But at the time it sounded like it's an injury that will persist to the end of the season and will force Camby to miss the occasional game. You're also correct that I will do a double trade, it's going to be Brad/AlJeff > Marion/McGrady for me. BTW, just a quick summary of the thoughts which lead me to this plan:

- It's correct that except for LBJ (who of course is a must today), trading today is a complete gamble point-wise. However, every player whose schedule ends this week (GSW/MIN/NOH/SAC) will bleed heavily for a few days. Means if you have a narrow window for further moves, bailing today could be the last chance to make these windows. I am in exactly such a financial situation with my further plans, so I basically was/am forced to drop Paul yesterday and Miller/AlJeff today.

- The Nuggets trio seems to look good by the sortables but these numbers do not account for them facing the Spurs twice this week. I agree with turnabouts that particularly Melo and AI as scorers could be in for a rough week. Camby should be affected a little less, but Spurs games always tend to dampen performance regardless of player position. This is why I won't go Nuggets this time.

- McGrady obviously is at least the same injury-risk as Camby, but for 6.5m on a red-hot and Yao-less Rockets team, I gotta take the chance. Besides, saving 2m versus AI (who isn't a stranger to DNPs himself) allows me to do further moves I couldn't do otherwise. Finally, Houston and Cleveland are the only interesting teams with a B2B today/tomorrow. So if McGrady gets hurt in the first two games, I still can go somewhere else without losing a game.

- To balance the injury risk posed by McGrady in my combo swap, I was looking for a durable, under-the-radar stud with a long and terrific schedule. Marion fits that bill perfectly. He isn't the same Marion as in previous years when he was one of the top 3 fanatsy performers but his stats definitely have increased after the trade. After all, he is basically in a contract year, and except for Wade there isn't anybody else in Miami. So I'm confident Marion will get his share of minutes and production and hopefully be a stabilizing factor for my team.
