Time to turn up the heat guys.
We slipped a little in the last period but we should be able to recover this period and take back second place.

Congrats to KI for the top score last night and breaking the 500 point barrier.

I think I will move Cassell today for either Roy or Watson if Roy sits.

Am open to suggestions -

Still have Rondo, but am not sure where to go from him.

Also looking to move into Williams, but not enough cash to make the move.

I'm thinking that the following moves might be the ones to make. Any thoughts would be helpful...

Lineup

780K in bank

Paul
Roy
Calderon
Rondo -> Williams (but need cash to do it)

James
Nowitzki -> ? (if not Smith)
Smith -> ? (if not Nowitzki)
Horford -> C (if moving a center)

Stoudamire
Kaman

I'm really going around in circles here - I'm looking for the cheaper forward or center who would let me go Rondo -> Williams. I don't think I could make a move to Boozer as well, and think that of the two of them, Williams is the one I want to have....

Thanks

I would think about holding.
You are talking about trading players who have 3 in 4 for players who have 2 in 4.
Waiting to 2/26 seems the better move.
If Rondo sux tonight plans could change but I would think about forcing moves that loses games.

Kal Zakath,

I have a similar line-up. Roy has three starts at forward. He should continue to start there the next two games, which would allow a Nowitzki to Deron Williams move on the 26th. I'd hold onto to Rondo for at least tonight's game (and probably for his next three). If Rondo continues to suck (as he seems to do whenever Garnett is in the lineup), I'd trade him for Watson or someone else on the 26th.

If Roy somehow manages to avoid becoming a GF over the next two games, I'll package Nowitzki/Rondo for D. Williams and someone yet to be determined (possibly Maggette) on the 26th.

I'd keep Josh Smith over Nowitzki as his GF flexibility can be useful and he has two more games than Nowitzki up to March 17th.

I picked up a smattering of Jefferson/Bosh/Beno/Moon.
You may need more than 1 player to move to get into Jefferson.

Looks like Roy got his 5th start at forward just in time leave my team. He's already missed a few games while on my team and I'm not really interested in watching him sit for any more (which sounds likely based on the injury reports). Will pick up Ginobili.

Will trade Rondo for Maggette today as well. Maggette allows me the flexibility to trade Nowitzki for Deron Williams tomorrow.

Thinking of the following:

Rondo -> Watson

Which will give me the cash to go

Roy -> whomever. (a little over $10 million if I do it tonight).

I also have positional flexibility to be able to pick up anyone, so am wondering how much I might lose by getting the game out of Rondo first and then going to either Jefferson or Boozer, or whether I should just go to Duncan tonight for his game (figuring that the game for Duncan will far outweigh the game for Rondo).

My original plan was to wait on Duncan and go Stoudemire-> Duncan after his back to back.

So, Duncan today or Jefferson or Boozer and a cash hit tomorrow....

Yeah, just tired of losing money night after night - worked hard to build it up and am not happy that the moves are going down.

For some reason I thought that Duncan was more expensive than he was.

Went Roy -> Duncan today, setting up Rondo -> Watson tomorrow after Rondo gets me a few last points tonight.

The Roy-> Duncan move necessitated me to move Smith to G, giving me the flexibility to move Stoudamire -> (most likely Ginobli, Williams, or Boozer)on the 28th.

I'm actually thinking that Rondo/Calderon could become Williams/Brewer....

Is Calderon a must sell?

Not enough cash to go Udrih/Williams....

Moving Amare/Calderon/Rondo to Duncan/Gino/Moon.

I could also move LeBron to Kidd for a 2-game (or more) pickup. If so, I'd probabaly just reverse it after Kidd's 4-in-5. Think that's worthwhile? Assuming I have no other unplanned needs this week, I'd still enter next week with 8 trades.

I could also get 4 Kobe games (over 6 days) instead of 4 Kidd games.

regarding Kobe, I'm holding until wednesday and selling for Iverson and upgrading Miller to Camby with the spare cash.

Guru - I ended up making a similar move
Calderon+Turk+Aldridge -> Duncan+Gino+Moon

I have 3 trades left and I'd rather hold James as I feel I'd have to waste 2 trades and it will only gain me 2 games of Kidd/Dirk. 2 trades for 4 Dirk games VS 2 James ??? doesn't seem that great. If I could only take Duncan twice....

I have one trade left to use for Dirk.
I will get Lebron back after the refresh.
If there is am injury I will hold Dirk for the extra day and go back to Lebron.

Interesting:
While my showing for GMD has not been all that impressive I found some interesting data.
At times it has been very frustrating that I cant make any progress.
This was a DL team and as we know going DL this year was not the best of moves.

My GMD team is top 100 in RV so I know I have done something right.
If you eliminate duplicate teams and RV teams I would be #32.

My WWR has risen steadily:
12/31/07 469
1/31/08 335
2/2/08 276
On the prize standing it would rank #95.

When I look at the GMD standing my team is 30th and last in our own standings.
So it seems it isnt that I suck....it seems all the good teams are playing GMD.

Ok...this hasnt been a great year for me so I do suck to some degree.

Still pushing to the bitter end.
If I could get to WWR 150 and still be #30 in GMD I think the race could get very tight....at least for 2nd.

My swap of LeBron to Kidd netted 67.5 TSNP and +$570.

Was it worth it? Seems rather borderline. Certainly, 67.5 isn't a good return on 2 trades. Whether the $ gains are enough to tip the scales is debatable.

In any event, back to King James today.

Moving Dirk -> James

Moving Kidd -> Stoudamire or McGrady.

Should leave me ok with trades.

Anyone have a better option for Kidd than Stoudamire or McGrady? I think I'm ok long term for trades with either. (If not getting McGrady here, he's a possibility out of Paul in a little bit).

Intruder

Looking at other popular moves, Dirk netted 63 points and $590k.

With one more game to play, Kobe already has 46.5 points over LeBron but ought to about break even on money as most of the $260k gained will evaporate tonight as people move into LeBron from Dirk/Kidd.

An average Kobe game tonight would result in a respectable 45-50 points per trade. It's certainly debatable, but I think I'd prefer the extra $500k+ than the incremental ~30 points.

It's possible those 2 trades could be used at a later date for a different opportunity, but especially given LeBron's injury at the time, I think it was the right move.

Guru:

Using the formula I developed last year(with your help) 570K is worth about 29 TSNP at this point in the season.
This assumes you will not reach maximum RV prior to the end of the season.

(46) ki -

Here's what I'm looking at

Ginobli
Smith
Williams
Paul

James
Brewer
Horford
Stoudemire (?)

Miller
Duncan

Garnett's only over 45 TSNP in 3 of the 8 games since he's back. Is he really worth the 11.33?

I was actually looking for a while of moving Josh Smith to him in the near future (could be as soon as tomorrow). The other option was going to be moving Miller to one of the Nuggets (Iverson most likely) after tonight - as it stands right now, have plenty of centers, and would have 10.17 after selling Miller should I go with Stoudamire right now.

Kal,

I think Garnett is due to go on a run myself.. After telling you my injury concerns with McGrady; I started looking at Miller to Camby for myself! LOL!

I've been holding Smith (and man is his schedule sweet!); he's been a little disapointing (35 per game vs the 40 I had hoped!)... I cannot see trading him till a least the end of his 4 in 5!

Maybe I've been too patient with my guys lately?? and that explains my mediocre performance??

I dont like KG. I cant take Mellow for 4M and 4 tsnp/g less. Use that 4M elsewhere for easily an extra 10 tsnp/g.

Going

Aldridge to Scola (free up some cash)
Kobe to AI
Odom to James
Miller to Camby

I like Scola for 640K and around 27/g. It allows me to pretty much do whatever I want with the other 9 spots on my roster.

Yehosh -

I have Brewer at 1.11 and a ridiculous schedule for the same reason.

I have all kinds of positional flexibility - which is why I was looking Iverson over Melo - I think it's a value for just a million or so more.

ki - I like Garnett, but can't see locking up that much cash in him when I am probably going to have to have some flexibility here.

I guess no one really likes the Stoudemire short term move?

Amare is not a bad move, just make sure you have the trades, if you're short, you're better off avoiding him and taking a long term player

you are 100% right, AI is a better choice (which is why I am taking him and not Mello), I was just thinking of forwards

Also, regarding Brewer, I would move him for Udirh on the 13th, gains you a game and a better producer. But yeah, its nice to have that supercheapie that frees up cash.

I could also go:

Kidd-> James (given)
Dirk -> Iverson/Camby

Then tomorrow go

Miller -> Camby/Iverson

I think I'm starting to like that one better... The only question now is which one first, Iverson or Camby tonight?
