I just noticed a new stat in the Yahoo Boxscores (plus/minus). I know its also an NHL stat but I never quite understood what it meant or how to calculate. Can anyone help?

I believe it is the difference in th teams scores when the player on the court. For example in the minutes the Lebron was on the court the score was 90-75 he would have a +/- of +15.
