I see I'm the only moron who sold Paul. I knew that was going to happen, but it was the only way I could get Lebron / Camby / Iverson / Mcgrady. Bah.

On a more positive note, I have the team I want now finally. The x-factor is going to be Marion, but I won't be pressured to make a rash decision due to ownership for once. If he starts going off, it could pay off huge for me kind of like how Amare last year singlehandedly launched me up the standings. But then again if he doesn't then I'm pretty much screwed. It seems like I can never get in a good groove this year, every popular choice under-performs and every differentiation choice gets injured within 24 hours.
I'm very glad Mike Miller is back, the defense won't be able to focus on Gay as much as they have. Hopefully his numbers will start rising again.

What are you other Josh Smith holders doing?
He's been pretty bad lately and lost a good amount on a night he played, but at the same time his schedule is still really good and the options are all pretty terrible. There's the obvious transition into a Philly player for a 5-3 and then you could go into someone else, but after Philly's 5 Atlanta has a back to back. So it's really two trades for 5 Iguoadala's and 2 Player X games vs. 5 Smith games. Iguodala isn't necessarily an improvement over Smith (and has some tough matchups) so it doesn't seem like an effective use of two trades. Is there a reason Smith has been so mediocre lately? I keep waiting for him to finally break out but it isn't happening.
I know hindsight is 20-20, but I would have felt really smart if I kept Aldridge instead of "upgrading" to Marion and kept Paul instead of getting Camby. Ugh.

I could see managers moving Smith for Kobe today.
Dave R told me a couple of weeks ago that he watched a game where Josh had his wrist taped up and it was affecting his shot and causing him to turn over the ball more. He said he would play through the injury. Ever since that time, he has sucked.
My big mistake was taking Bibby and his 2 extra games in 2 weeks over Ellis or SJax. Also for not taking one of my favorite players T-Mac who has cost me $$ in past seasons.

Yeah I'd consider making that swap, I don't have the money for Kobe though. I only have about 10 million for a replacement. I'll be getting Kobe back in a few days from Lebron.

To answer your question, I'll be holding JSmith and Bibby to the bitter end. Hopefully both will have a couple of big games to help salvage the mess they've caused the last week or so.

I'm probably doing the same. Smith tore apart all but one of his upcoming opponents. Hopefully this will be good differentiation without using a trade, as opposed to my recent moves of poor differentiation with using a trade. I don't think I've ever been derailed by such consistent underperformance before. Everybody on my roster except Lebron, Deron, and Mcgrady.

I don't think I've ever been derailed by such consistent underperformance before. Everybody on my roster except Lebron, Deron, and Mcgrady. Exactly the same situation here, Senator. And dropping Paul before his last three was exactly the correct move... to bury any of my hopes of a good WWR finish.

Thank you Stephen Jackson for playing like Kobe Bryant last week when DPR had you, and playing like Mike Bibby this week when I buy you. lol
Seriously, I don't have any room to cry, I'm satisfied with my season. I couldn't resist the urge to vent about SJ though. It's very frustrating when you're trying to catch the main man (DPR).

You still have gained well on me the past few days. Only 184 back now up from a high of 344 distancing me from second on 3/7. First time under 200 this month too. Really wondering y i made the move from stoudemire to howard wen I did. Should have waited til today if i was going to move at all. Saw the GSW matchup so pretty much thru away 25 points. Wish I had a way into paul but my guard spots are all full. feel he is going to kill me these next few days. Hopefully today with a full slate I can grow my lead a bit. I imagine you will only have 8.

I picked up Udrih for a hold till last day, and my other G slot will be for Paul/Iverson. So from Kobe, B.Davis and Ellis I can only pick two at the end of the week. Any opinion? Pick up Ellie will allow me to get better F otherwise need to settle one F in the 5M range.

winston,
I think Kobe should def get a guard slot because his production is much higher. Also he fits better then the GSW guys out of Deron. Then I imagine on 3/18 u will be selling Paul smith and parker to 2 guards and a forward? Likely Ellis is the better choice because he is producing similar to Davis and will allow you to get stud forwards like Odom, gasol, marion, and carmelo. Doubtful that a cheaper forward would produce equal to those guys tho i guess Jefferson has a good schedule then and has been alright all season. But yea id pick up Kobe and then decide on 3/18 who you like more likely ellis

Ugh, this Marion thing sucks. My computer said 7:30 when I saw the news, so I test sold Lebron and TSN's time said 7:30 but Marion still wasn't frozen. I probably should have tried to sell him on at least one team but I didn't want to make a quick call on a replacement without additional information.

Would someone be able to team sit my team for tomorrow and pull off some planned trades for me? Please let me know and I will email you the details of my team.
Tomorrow is my wedding day and I don't feel it's constructive to locate a pc at the hotel.

What are you guys doing about Marion? I think I'm just going to hold. If he's out tomorrow, I'll move him instead of Deron to Odom to free up cash for Amare to Lebron. If he's in, I'll stick with the original plan. The only option I'd consider today is gambling on Butler, but with the way the rotations work out for my team it would be 5 Butler games vs. 2 Camby (or Iverson) and 1 Deron for two extra trades. Since Butler only has one game under his belt and since Camby is Camby and Deron has been unbelievable, I'm inclined to save the two trades.
Wish I had gotten Marion off my teams for Odom in time last night, oh well.

seems like he is optimistic to play and he already has played thru the injury once so it cant be that bad. I am holding unless I hear he is out.

You've definately had a forgetable year. I'd say your luck was worse than mine was last year, man did that suck! I think I was pissed from April 07 to October 31st 07.
You'll come back strong next season.

Man i feel like I needed that game from Camby last night. Didnt like the way the last few days had been going. The Marion pickup will surely go down as my worst of the year. Also looks like I am now heading towards trade issues next week. That could play a big factor if it caries til the end of hte season with all the DNPs.

Pica - I am local Chinese, so sorry for my poor English.
I still undecided what to do with the 3 trades I have. Will pick up Odom for sure and make a choice between Ellis and B.Davis (if I pick up both GS then I need to keep Paker instead). But I feel better for Ellis/B.Davis combo rather than Ellis/C.Anthony or Davis/S.Jackson.

DJ will be taking over my team from now on and until Apr4 as I tour the eastern Europe for my honeymoon trip. Internet access will be limited to the occasional wifi hotspots i can locate with my iphone and checking the hotel pc, whenever i can sneak in a few minutes when she's taking a shower. So DJ is technically not an intruder in the meantime... more like a rogue trader, let's hope he's not pulling a Kerviel, hehe

I'm having a disaster of a real-world night tonight, so I haven't had / don't have much time to plan. I see that Ricky Davis may sit...
The original plan was Deron and Josh to Baron and Amare tonight. If Ricky is out, would you skip Baron and take Ellis instead, and upgrade Ricky to Jamison or Butler?

I think it might be worth it. You can gain a game with the washington guys and there production over ricky is a greater difference then Barons over Monta. However I wouldnt want to go too long without Baron so make sure you can still get into him. It looks like TMAC could serve this purpose tho if you have no other plans for him

Yahoo didn't pull him, so I guess Ricky stays tonight. If he makes it through the game, I'll stick with the Baron / Amare combo. This season has been unbelievable.
