Shawn Marion will miss Friday's game with a back injury.
Alexander Johnson started in Marion’s place. Marion said he aggravated the back problem earlier this week, and played with soreness Wednesday night against the Knicks. The good news is that he is still planning to be in the starting lineup Sunday against the Mavericks. "I don’t want to sit here and have it keep nagging," Marion said. "If I can take a day off and get it right, it isn’t going to kill me." (per rotoworld) |

Gasol just rolled a left ankle 2 minutes into the game. Walked off the court with a lot of help.

Yawn.... Houston wins again. What a story. I look at this team on paper, in the West of all places, and ask how can they win 2 or 3 straight let alone 21?

That's what I was thinking. They lose the top All-Star vote getter, and don't skip a beat. There must be some pretty good team chemistry going on. And this from a team that was looking to disappoint and miss the playoffs. Weird. Someone must have made a pact with the devil or something.

My guess is T-Mac because he is usually the one who is always hurt and DNPing because of back spasms. When is the last time McGrady missed because of back spasm? Maybe the better question is when has he ever gone 21 straight without missing?

Chris Paul had 27 points, 17 assists and four steals in Friday's win over the Lakers.
He suffered a left ankle injury late that could cause him problems in the next few days. The good news is he stayed in the game after being hurt, so hopefully he won't miss any games. Pau Gasol and David West weren't as lucky in this one, as both left with ankle injuries.
