No Shaq tonight... Lopez to start... Can the real Amare stand up? |

I think the real Amare has stood up. From Rotoworld: Amare is off to a slow start this season, which is likely due to Terry Porter's new system. But even a toned down Stoudemire is better than most alternatives.
But we may see the old Amare tonight with Shaq out.

Hope you aren't one of the 50 that just bought into Barnes...
From Rotoworld: Matt Barnes will miss Wednesday's game due to a family emergency. Shaquille O'Neal was supposed to get the night off for rest, but is now in the starting lineup, along with Grant Hill, who will start at small forward.

I've been away from the game for a few years, but as I recall from the old days, that's pretty dang high on the list of all time high scores.

Yeah, but that 91 was post-scoring change. If you factor in the additional -0.5 for missed free throws...
Oh wait... ;)

FT are now only -0.5 as opposed to the old -1 (If I'm no mistaken).

Yo RSF,
I don't think there was a change this year (not sure, I missed the last couple years)... but apparently TSN reduced the penalty for a missed FT from -1.0 to -0.5.

I assume the site is craping out because you're working on it, but on the off chance it's anoher reason I thought you'd like to know. I lost access at roughly the time the scoring change was noted.

Amare was just on fire all night long. He basically kept the Suns in the game in the first half while they trailed and his teammates started helping with the scoring and with defense in the second half. The Pacers were hot shooting early but cooled off and could not contain Amare. He eventually slowed as he tired but he was a beast all night.
T.J. Ford went off for 22 in the first half, but added just one point in the second half. Phoenix had an interesting defensive approach on the Pacers PGs that seemed effective. The big who was guarding the Pacers big who inbounded the ball after a made shot didn't just take the play off until the Pacers big got downcourt. He actually helped on the ball by taking away one side from the PG until the trailer made it down the court. It seemed to limit the PGs options and got the ball out of T.J.'s hand quicker.
OT in Minny and Milwaukee. Go Caron Go!

Hmmm...looking at the error "999", looks like it might be putting a cap on how many times my server can access the site. I wonder if others with the local one are working (and if so, for how much longer tonight.) The wording of the error page says its "temporary", saying "This problem may be due to unusual network activity coming from your Internet Service Provider."
