0 Subject: Tonight's 11/18 "Was it worth D.Wade?" Action

Posted by: Blooki
- [119492312] Tue, Nov 18, 2008, 18:04

Holders and sellers alike will be asking themselves that question tonight.

Holders will see if a banged up Wade's production moving forward was worth "the wait" (and $110K TSND plus potential copycat selling tonight)?

Sellers will see if the TSND appreciation and TSNP production of whoever they replaced Wade with was worth "D. Wade"?

I did see a guy in the TSN forum who was going Amare --> Wade today so there could be some buys too :)

Looks like Dallas went for two after that second touchdown; now up 15-0.

LOL. Foster swished a three at the first quarter buzzer to total 8 points after one. It's not like a fluke, though. I mean, he's already made 4 in his career.

And Dish finally agreed to offer League Pass!!!! It was thoughtful of them to screw their customers out of the early bird discount and deny them a few days worth of games to negotiate a few more pennies out of the NBA, though.

League Pass rules. The staggered game starts rule. I love it.

Someone needs to kick Daniels in the rear...or maybe this is to make many sell and If I hold then he will play again after a sell off....isn't that how it works?

I really wish Hawes could have waited a game to suck...ariza and nesterovic look like good replacements, AFTER tomorrow's game.

Btw, Howard is the most dominant physical force in the game. But Bosh owns him.

:00.0 IND - Layup by J. Jack. Assist: M. Daniels
:02.3 IND - M. Daniels defensive rebound
:03.9 ATL - J. Johnson misses a 5-foot jumper in the lane

quick 6.5 TSNP for Daniels in 3.9 seconds...assuming that's where he got the block

Marquis is definitely having an off night. He's even frustrated with his shooting. He's playing good defense on Joe Johnson. I think that's one thing that's cutting into his offensive game. He's showing a few more signs of life here lately but the game's almost over.

Rasho is fool's gold, imo. He's not going to score like this most nights.

#17 yep - he blocked Joe Johnson's shot, grabbed the ball, and got it upcourt to Jack.

Probably not. He's only averaging 27 or 28 on the year and 30 since he came back from the ankle. He's been trending up a bit but I think 30 is a more realistic expectation versus the 35 he played tonight. The rookie Hibbert has been getting time but he was a DNP-CD tonight, and I doubt that continues indefinitely. Of course, if Rasho keeps playing like this, he will keep his minutes, but I think you'll see that over his career he has been unable to sustain this kind of play. He's a slow plodder with a nice shooting touch and no vertical leap. In O'Brien's fast-paced offense, if he's not knocking down shots or keeping up with the pace, he's going to sit down. Jeff Foster is a team favorite and just got an extension, and Rasho has an expiring contract. Foster moves much better than Rasho and is a much better individual and team defender, not to mention rebounder. Jeff's going to get his minutes (a few at the PF if Rasho or Hibbert is in) so I think this is probably Rasho's peak right here. He also got in a couple garbage time blocks in the last 90 seconds when the Hawks forced shots up in the lane with a few seconds ticked off the shot clock so you're not going to see that kind of block production from him regularly either, since he can't jump.

thanks

he's only 1.25 million, so 27-28 minutes might be enough to justify a C spot..

I am seriously regretting my Salmons to Brad Miller trade, even with Salmons taking a dump so far tonight.
