I opted to keep Wade, Biedrins, and Howard, making yesterday expensive. Also keeping Harris today.
So I may start out a bit slowly, both in TSNP and value generation. I just didn't see any compelling moves, and want to build up my trade arsenal a bit. I think those trades can be used more productively in the future.
Plans are still somewhat uncertain. Tentatively planning to move Wade to Paul on 12/9. Still unsure about Howard - but may hold him long term. Augustin is of some near-term concern - and if he craps out, I may shift into Hawes on 12/6, 12/9, or 12/12.

Thanks for picking me Blooki! I'm looking forward to the season.
I'm sitting on a lot of unused cash right now, but my planned moves this week will take care of most of it: Brewer -> Bosh Granger -> Biedrins
Mason looks like he needs to go too. If so I'm thinking Aizu on Fri if he's healthy. Hopefully we get news today on the MRI. Any thoughts on that?
Kobe has been less than a stud, so he will fit into CP3 on the 10th when the whole world picks him up.

I am gladly willing to take whatever money hit Howard may get tonight for his game vs. OKC who he destroyed for 90 last time. Then Howard may become Bosh or might hold, not sure yet. My in to Harris is Brewer but not sure if I should pull that trigger today or tomorrow. Considering Harris' last game of 20 and -80 last night, is it possible he will bleed again tonight?

Due to poor schedule fits, I think a handful of people will buy Devin Harris tonight. Likely enough to offset any sellers lagging from yesterday.

Seems a lot of you are having cheapie woes, especially if you I agree that all of the buy options are pretty weak right now. My suggestions are:
- Double-swap them with Wade and/or Howard to two attractive midrangers. - Buy Hawes early. - Roll the dice with the likes of Garcia, McGee and Landry.
I've intentionally avoided pure G options because I believe those are just at too high of a premium moving forward.

I feel like any fiscally-conscious rotation is atrocious, but I think I've settled on today's moves...
I want Bosh and Biedrins tonight, and to get there, I'm going to sell Howard and Young. Unfortunately I'm about a million short. Rather than waiting for a natural time to package someone else (and absorbing losses/missing gains in the meantime) I think I'll move Chandler for Hawes as well.
Barring several Howard explosions (very possible) I should come out ahead in points and money.

I ended up moving Augustin/W.Chandler to Crawford/Hawes. Chandler didn't have to be moved yet, although his production had been slipping lately, in spite of the shortage of healthy players on the Knicks. But moving him now allowed me to align my positions to accommodate Wade=>Bosh followed by Howard=>Paul, which seem to be the consensus moves.
If I were going strictly for points, I would have waited for 2 more games to move Wade for Bosh. But I finally decided that the potential value swing was large enough to warrant making that move now and sacrificing a few points. It was definitely a December decision, and not a March decision.

I guess I'm going back to Spencer Hawes today from Rasho Nesterovic? Was planning to hold Rasho thru 12/20? but since I've bought him he's stunk it up in five of the six games that I've held him... Rasho is already bleeding money and it appears that Spencer Hawes is going to make money thru a 1 game in 5 day stretch?? Is that how is appears to all of you; I'm sometimes not sure I totally understand this game?

Well, I've got my eyes on Paul and Harris like everyone else today. I'll move Kobe and Duhon and will also have to sacrifice Lee for someone like Azubuike to make it happen.
Duhon and Lee have been a great surprise, but I don't see much sense in holding a couple extra days for the 3 in 4 with little to offer after that.
Longer term, I've got the Paul-Howard-Bosh triangle move set up.

Been having major computer issues lately, had to do a clean install. Went Wade>Paul yesterday with my last trade. With great reluctance going Howard>Biedrins, seems like a no-brainer since I don't have him. Currently do not have the flex to pull off the Paul-Howard-Bosh trilogy of terror and I believe I need to address that today. Could go Lee>Granger/Salmons depending on future cash needs to achieve the flex.
Up to this point owning 3 Knicks has paid off nicely but am now faced with tough decisions. Definitely want Carter,Rondo or Rose but my only in to just one of those 3 is Duhon who I drafted since day 1. Also I feel Nene has bottomed out and is a must have possibly starting today price-wise. Have to do some number crunching and figure out which guard will fit best with future cash needs.
If I'm going to be moving some Knicks it would seem logical from a money standpoint to pull those triggers today.

Was pretty set on Duhon-Lee-Chandler becoming Granger-Rose-Nene at some point but is Vince Carter a must have today? He's playing the Knicks tonight and Toronto twice this week who he torched for 60 last time. Consistency not there with 4 games of 23 or less in the past month.

DH: I'm sure some will wait for Paul, but he'll probably still be more expensive then than now. Also keep in mind that it's possible Paul can even outpoint someone with more games in that time. It's probably not a season killer not to get Paul now, but points and money are likely to be marginally better with him, depending on how you'd get him of course.
DM: I looked at Carter based on him showing up in the sartibles, but then I noticed that his 7 and 15 day averages are below his season average. He's still intriguing but not a must-have in my opinion.

The only time VC and "must have" should be used in a sentence together is when you are talking about spare trades.

Blooki, I bought Lebron (and Kobe) with the intention of holding thru Christmas. I cannot, however, overlook that both teams seem to be blowing out opponents so much this season that it is costing both playing time. That was my logic for trading Kobe to Paul yesterday; and probably why I think I want to trade out of Lebron on Saturday (13th) or Sunday (12/14). Fantasytwise, the almost $12M gets me a nice upgrade somewhere else; and looking at the upcoming opponents, I do not see the Cavalier's games becoming more competitive. Real basketball wise, Lebron is the reason the Cavaliers are blowing out teams. I fell even more in love with his talent watching him in the Olympics this summer. I'm excited at the possibility of watching someone with the potential to maybe challenge Jordan legacy. As a Cavalier's fan, I hope he chooses to do it in Cleveland! HOWEVER, one of the most important things to learn in fantasy basketball is to not let personal feeling influence your decisions about your fantasy team. I am reluctantly planning to trade Lebron this week.
Talk me off the ledge please..... 12/13 Lebron James to Dirk Nowitski or Caron Butler?

Re: 45
If you can put the money freed up by that money to use effectively, then by all means sell.
My original intent was to sell to Wade to maintain comparable production at a lesser price. Unfortunately, a shortage of trades caused by the implosion of Bosh and Crawford --- both of which I overestimated the fallout for tonight (maybe I should give schedule density a chance) --- and the emergence of Jose Barea prevents me from making enough moves to restructure my roster efficiently. Any sale of Lebron this week would just leave a bunch of cash lying around and if I hold into next week then I might as well hold into the following week since his schedule is still good.
In any case, for those who are interested I ended up going Sessions/Bosh => Barea/Dwight. It seems odd to be buying a player the day after a max loss.

Been kicking it around tonight... For me I think I'm leaning towards Lebron/Ariza to Nowitski/Nene tomorrow... preserving a little bit of money gains and rotating from highly owned diminishing schedule into what I hope will be legnthy holds. What do you folks think?

So, what are people's thoughts on the Bosh-Paul-Howard/Wade triangle today?
My plan has been to move Bosh to Camby today and then triangle into Howard or Wade on the 18th from Paul.
Stuckey also potentially comes into play today/tomorrow. Will he reach must-have status? My only way in to him is through Barea, and I'm wondering if I should just stick with him.
I'm basically tossing around 3 (eventual) combinations: A) Howard/Rondo/Barea B) Howard/Rose/Stuckey C) Wade/David West/Stuckey

Paul to Howard had been in my plans, followed later in the week by Camby to Paul. But I'm not sure I trust Howard enough at this point to follow through. It would have required me to raise a little extra cash as well, and I might be better served by ending up with someone like Dirk, or Garnett, or Yao. If so, then holding Paul through his 1-in-5 might be the prudent approach, as making a triangle move would only pick up two of their games for one Paul game.
If Howard is back to his normal self, then the triangle makes sense. But there are enough warning signals that even if he does play, will he play his normal minutes, and get his normal production? Seems like this might be one of those times to heed the advice, "When in doubt, do nothing."

just when I start feeling good..... Gasol with streep throat... was planning to holding thru Christmas day.... I figure with two days off, he probably comes back ok for his 5 games in 6 1/5 days... but holding him now probably costs me money; bleeds some because of DNP and no buy back in on Friday... can get the same number of games out of a lot of other GOOD options..... Garnett is probably my favorite assuming he comes out of gravity.... to do this, though, I probably end up holding chris paul thru the 1 in 5... got all day to figure it out... any ideas? ki
