This came out of today's Hoopsworld.com edition:

Amusing Transaction Yesterday: There was an amusing transaction that went down yesterday that may have almost zero meaning in the NBA landscape as a whole, but is amusing in its construction. The LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets consummated a swap involving Cheikh Samb heading to the Clippers. The Nuggets are paying all of the balance of Samb's contract – roughly $418,000, and will receive a conditional 2015 2nd round draft choice from the Clippers. The move gets the Nuggets just under the luxury tax threshold, but seems almost silly as it's believed the conditions of the 2nd round pick is top 50 protection. For those of you keeping track at home, there are only 60 picks possible. Samb could only return the 50th player in a draft class six years from now? Talk about investing in the future.

A trade already made for 2015??? I don't understand that. Are draft picks really not that important anymore?
