Welcome to two new Blooksters - wolfer and Maineac.

[I was going to call us "Blookisters", but when I pronounced it, it sounded like "Blue Keisters".]

I decided to avoid Shaq. I still think it's a decent gambit, but after using an unplanned trade on Millsap last night, I don't want to set myself up for more potential DNP problems - even though the risk/reward on Shaq is enticing.

So just Kobe to LeBron today. I reworked my plan this morning (that seems to be a daily event, lately), and decided to hold Durant for his next 2 games, which means I'll take some price hits there. So be it. By conserving some trades and focusing on points, I think I'll be better equipped next week, when I might be able to work in Wade, Paul, and LeBron all at once (getting Wade on 1/24).

We'll see though. Plans that are 9 days away have a way of changing dramatically. And unfortunately, some of my recent moves have turned out to be suboptimal - Stuckey=>Tyrus Thomas being Exhibit A. (ugh)

I think that's the right move, Guru. Paradoxically, Shaq's probably more appealing in a more average schedule. Kobe's becoming Amare for me, who I hope will benefit from Shaq resting in b2b's.

Thanks for picking me up. I'll do my best to help this great team. I'm going Wade to Lebron today and Thomas to Stuckey tomorrow and then wait to see what develops.

That's rough ki. Yeah I don't like your options.

Delonte looks best, but I'm not sure you want to commit to locking him in.

I don't know what plans you have for other roster slots, but maybe a 500K guy like Lou Williams might make sense here.

I think I like Delonte a lot more than Lou Williams or any other cheapie guard... I was hoping someone was thinking about a Granger/Blake package that I might be missing?

ki - Delonte West thinks his injuries are no big deal and plans on playing.

- Intruder Alert -

Sorry DM & KI..That's a no go on your last report

Delonte West is expected to be sidelined for at least two to three weeks due to his wrist injury.

West originally stated his intentions to play through the injury, but it appears he's now out until sometime in early February

Dean,

Good luck. I had knee replacement surgery a month ago and have been on a record setting recovery pace, so hospitals can be a good thing. Hope all goes well.

For better or worse, Duhon's next game is at 1pm tomorrow (the first game of the day), and Camby plays at 3:30pm.

Five games will have already started before 3:30, but 7 games will still offer available candidates for Camby swaps if you want to wait until the last minute to decide.

Despite the encouraging news on Duhon, I'm going to move him to Foye today. It gives up a game, but Duhon will be a less valuable and Foye will be a lot more expensive by the time that game is lost. There's also a question about how effective Duhon will be even if he plays. Millsap's DNP while probable is still fresh in memory, and he also showed how performance can be affected when playing sore.

I can't imagine Camby playing tomorrow (based on his pinkie history) so his next possible game would be the 21st. Lopez also plays the 21st and I want him so I will do it tonight. I will also go Duhon to Foye tonight. By Tuesday or Wednesday we should know about Camby. I will have enough cash to go either Stuckey/Chandler/Blatche/Ridnour back to Camby if I was wrong. I'm too rv poor to take two simultaneous baths over the next 3-4 days.

As one of the team's two Wade owners, I'm just going to hold him through his 1-in-5, and move from Camby to LeBron instead of getting LBJ from Wade, as I had originally planned.

hope so re brad miller. unfortunate thing about tuesday trading is he might gain 100K and still be in gravity. I would think a good game tonight and he would come out of it.

I guess I should have moved Bargnani to Millsap yesterday. I thought about it, but was concerned that Millsap was still a bit gimpy, based on reports that he was playing with two knee braces. I was also unsure about the pending status of Duhon and Lee - but this morning, they both seem healthy enough to play.

Oops.

Now I suppose I should hold Bargnani for his next two games before getting Millsap - even though 2 Bargnani games aren't a lock to outpace one Millsap game. The price swing will be adverse, for sure.

Does anyone think I'm better served to suck it up and move Bargnani to Millsap today?

I am in the same boat as the Guru and contemplating the exact trade-off. Could I assume the daily dollar swing between Bargnani and Millsap be ~200k a day? If so then getting Millsap on Saturday (3 price changes later) would entail a 600k trade-off? Sounds like a decent trade-off for whatever marginal points potential gain

Could I assume the daily dollar swing between Bargnani and Millsap be ~200k a day?

Hardly. Millsap has the next 2 days off while Bargnani plays 1 game. Can't believe there will be a 200K swing each of the next 2 days.

[36-38] regarding the Bargnani=>Millsap timing

In the past three days, Millsap scored 39 TSNP and increased $210K

Bargnani scored 53.5 TSNP and declined $240K

So the tradeoff for moving early was to give up 14.5 TSNP in return for an extra $450K in cash. Not a clear winner or loser in hindsight, although if the extra $ can be effectively deployed, I feel OK about making the move early and taking the slight point hit.

He's not showing up on any of the ownership pages, so I doubt he gets enough buys. He's not really jumping out on the sartibles either. Any particular reason why you're looking at him?

He hasn't appeared anywhere on my radar, and I don't see any reason why he would climb out of gravity.

4 of his last 6 games have been 20 or less. Not sure I see the attraction. There are better options in that price range, I think.

And who would you drop? I really don't see any pressing sell needs on your roster.

Must be on a different team than your GMD team? Because if you move Shaq/Okur to Paul, you have only $850 left.

DeAndre Jordan => Murphy?

The move would be motivated by wanting Murphy rather than not wanting DeAndre.

I'd love to hear arguments advocating doing nothing, selling Eric Gordon or selling Shaq (who, keep in mind, is an "everday player" now) instead.

If you don't have another use for that cash, that's obviously a great upgrade, not that Jordan has been playing poorly for the price, mind you.

I assume you've decided to hold Lee, but the Clippers' schedule is still strong while NY heads south. What about Lee to Murphy giving you even more cash to upgrade Jordan or Gordon once Camby/Baron comes back?
