Or, should we make this the "What DNP will cause me to abandon my original plans for the week" thread.

Im trying to find a guard for today... Thinking Harris but Im considering others. $$$ is no object, so I could go real cheap with Mardy Collins or real expensive with Harris or Caron Butler (who has been awful lately). Any ideas?

I guess Kobe is a better option than Butler, but is Collins or Harris a better option?

How long will you hold?

I guess it depends... I would prefer to hold for awhile to bank my trades for the inevitable dnp's. I know I could hold Kobe long term as long as he plays...

Being away from the game for 6-7 years, it took me over a month to figure things out. Now, I'm sitting on only 61.7 mil in RV and I'm really struggling with which way I should go - jump on RV trains or just go for schedules and hope to keep up the pts. Being at around 250 WWR and 250 FV, I may not have a shot at top-100 regardless. Anyone have some thoughts as to what I should do?
Collins, B Lopez, Millsap all look good; Stuckey, T Thomas, Duhon and D Lee all poised to lose money. Ugh (Hopefully that's all the group therapy I'll have to share today...LOL)

and your other guards are? I plan to roll with Paul, Wade (Saturday), Granger and a cheapie for a while. Kobe's injury scares me because it is on his shooting hand.

$4ltr
Thomas has to go today. I think you have your choice of players from Lopez or Millsap as buys today since you match or beat his games. However, you may be better served to hold Stuckey Duhon and Lee for their next two and then see who you might like to add. It will get you deeper into the week and not leave you trade strapped so early.

I have Granger, Duhon, Nash, and Ridnour at the moment, but Granger could be a G or a F. Now that I think about it, I could move Granger to G and get Milsap if I wanted to... But I already have Okur and am not thrilled by Utah's schedule.
When is the sell date for Okur?

Leaning towards the Milsap option now, but still thinking of risking it on Collins or Harris... I will turn Nash into Paul on Monday

Allwell, from now until the break, Nash projects to be a top 5-7 guard and he is really only significantly behind Paul, Wade, Kobe and Granger.

If you have Nash, Granger, and Ridnour at G, you may want to get two/three more games out of Duhon and then turn him into Wade/Paul. Nash could become 1 after the little blip in their schedule if you wanted or you could ride without 1 of Paul/Wade.

Thanks G...
I ended up deciding to trade duhon to paul today since I have the cash... 2 paul games should be at least as good as 3 gimpy duhon games and now I have paul locked in for awhile (ever).

collins/jordan from LAC look pretty solid. and milsap is pretty much a must have at this point i think.

problem is that this season (or maybe as always) there are so many rather good cheapies that the itchy trade-finger becomes even more itchy. i only have 59 mil RV and still too many options, lol.

Well, not sure I can hold Stuckey any longer. Might go to Villanueva, Collins, Blatche or Redd. Flippng a 4-sided coin.

You might want to find a 5-sided coin to include DeAndre Jordan while you're at it.

I would flip the 3 sides into the trash and take Blatche. Cheap, pretty much guaranteed playing time as the starter, golden schedule to the ASB.

I agree with Qwert, which seems smart given his WWR. Jordan is a physical freak who is fresh from not having played much. He has a great schedule and the promise of as many minutes as he can handle (though I worry a little about fouls with a player of his profile). Plus, the price is very right.

I'm moving Okur ----> Jordan tonight, then Stuckey to Millsap (Granger to G) on Saturday. I'm also trying to resist the temptation to pull the plug on Foye prematurely.

Flipping my own coin. Going Amare/Bosh to Granger tonight, then on Saturday going Stuckey and Amare/Bosh to Milsap and Wade. Who should go tonight, i.e. who loses more money between now and Saturday? I'm thinking Amare but would love feedback.

i would definitely sell amare before bosh. bosh has been pretty solid while amare has been horrible with shaq in the lineup.

I am looking at the Clippers schedule and I can't put my finger on what to do with any of their players.

Camby
Camby has been a monster but he has burned me twice this year. I think I will wait to see a game or two but with news that Camby will be back as early as today, I also fear the return of ZR may impact his production some.

Randolph
I just can't believe Randolph has been out for so long with a bruised knee. His last game was before Christmas so we are at 1 month of no games for him. Last report says by the end of the this month he should be playing. I wouldn't mind seeing a game or two from him. Would he be better than Camby?

Jordan/Skinner
I was a little hesitant of either and with the two big guys above rumored to be back soon I think I have to pass now.

Collins/Gordan
Both are intersting and Baron seems to be at least a week away. What value will they have when he returns?

My roster is pretty crowded with guys I like as I have Paul,Wade and Foye locks at guard. Granger is the 4th for now but forwards are very crowded too. I thought the rest of this week was going to be simple but with all this new news I am back to square one.

Ugh.

I have been burned in this game in more ways than I can count. But burned by Marcus freakin' Camby returning from injury weeks (or at least 10 days) ahead of schedule? That is a new one. In fact, it's so ridiculous that all I can do is laugh about it.

Well played, Mr. Camby. Well played.

G,

If possible, I think the best approach to any Clippers players is to at least wait until Sunday when hopefully more will be clearer. If what transpires has any bearing on moves you're contemplating in the meantime, I'd just ignore LAC completely. Skip's right that this is a whole new level of Camby-induced frustration.

Qwerty123,

Yeah I agree with that. It may mean a hit or two in current rostered players but I think waitng out the uncertainty and saving trades to respond may be the best thing to do. Guys that look like good buys today or tomorrow could be unwanted pending what happens with this team and about half of its players.

so lee continues to go up in price. I have a trade for him but as someone mentioned, his schedule, performance and value make him a solid hold to the break. only his ownership is a concern. other than camby i dont want anyone else and he may not be ready now. guess i will hold until later in the week and perhaps next week.

like i mentioned in the clippers post i dont want buy someone only to wish two days later that i would have waited.

i saw some others talking about holding lee long term a few days ago. what r people thinking now?

Holding.
Camby is just too risky right now, no interest in anyone else.

need to add Wade and Millsap to a couple teams. Looks like Amare/Duhon to Wade/Millsap. Don't really want to move Duhon either but he is my only way to Wade and that seems like an upgrade to good to skip.

Are Lee and Duhon must sells now? I have Ridnour and I think I probably should dump him first since his schedule weakens dramatically in a few days.

Ole, if you have $4 mil handy and no other plans for it. Blatche is a cheap steady producer so I will hold and see what Wed brings. Washington plays the same time Tor does so if he cant go, I may grab Bargnani on Wed. I would much rather save the trade and enjoy the nice schedule to the break tho.

yeah, that's what i was thinking. i have 5 million spare and looking at my rather poor WR i was thinking of getting the extra points from murphy. also, with the - possible - injury of blatche and the nice schedule for murphy i am not looking forward to the $$ difference.

also, wouldn't o'neils return limit bargnani's minutes?

at the moment i tend slightly towards the murphy trade though saving the trade is good too.

those day-to-day 50/50 DNPs are the worst.

thanks for the feedback though.

Blatche replacement?

Javale McGee, Dominic Mcguire, or Jason Thompson for a 5 in 7 (w/CLE and BOS though)?
