Gotta deal with B Lopez, D Jordan and Villanueva this week. Gonna have to hold Lee, Duhon and Granger through the small gaps. Ugh, need $$$ |

Was hoping to deal with Lee today but got caught with my Blatches down and only one trade so I will now have to do it Wed and Thursday on 3 teams I still have him on.

Blatche has to be dealt pronto. Decided on keeping Lee. His $$$$ will return soon.

Who will be the main loser in money tonight then?

Injured players and any heavily owned players with 3 game weeks

Granger could tumble a bit. He's been shooting poorly as of late, but adding a bum elbow won't help...

I don't see Granger fitting into the "main loser tonight" category. In fact he will most likely get buys today not sells (assuming he is playing as expected).
Now, if he struggles again over the next 3 games, you may see some panic sells on Sunday.

I think that Lee and Granger will lose money but that Granger not that much. They are so heavily held top 4 so any bit of trading will have its affect on our pocketbook. I personally had Ridnour on all teams and I let him go in scare of him starting to bleed. Bought Dominic McGuire to see if that train gains legs.

I'm surprised how casually some people dropped Granger today with 5 more weeks of a good schedule, no indication that his injury is serious, and money becoming less important. I did drop him once, because that team was going to get Wade from Lee so I substituted Granger and took Bargnani instead of McGee, but otherwise it will be a major boon for me if Granger plays Friday and I saved a trade (or two, because Granger's schedule is longer than anyone I could have traded him for). No way I'm trading Granger unless he's definitely out again. Please, take my 160K tomorrow, I don't want it.

Thanks for the link. Let's hope Danny Granger has more medical knowledge than Rodney Stuckey, Paul Millsap and Andray Blatche! There's also a more worrisome appraisal on Rotoworld, but I'm still going to hold. One of my teams has had Granger since November 11, holding through a DNP with a sudden cramp, two games missed with the flu, a concussion that resulted in no missed games and now this. I'd hate for my streak to end: he's been great to have in spite of the DNP's and resulting stress.

Kinda screwed myself. Had to dump D Jordan, B Lopez and Granger for Shaq, S Jax and A Parker. Only had a mil in cash to start, so Jamison and a few others just wouldn't fit.

I think I am sold NOT to get back into Granger. Even if he does play he is not going to be 100% for a while?

re #13 - see post 5. Utah has 3 games this week and Millsap is heavily owned. Some managers trade simply on # of games per week so Wed is almost always a hit day for a three game week teams.
The nice thing about UT is their first game of the week wasn't Wed so UT players will now see some buys today and tomorrow from teams with weaker schedules that played yesterday and have a gap coming up.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to believe anymore. It wouldn't surprise if he played and got 50 TSNP nor would it surprise me if he sat out another 3 games or so.
LOL

HA HA LMAO This Granger injury and limiting him minutes down 1 min a game is so laughable. Either sit him and rest it or just play. Like analyzing this to how many minutes ot play each game. His knew I do not think knows the pounding minutes per game but rather how hard he works the knee during those minutes. I sold out just before the game he sat out last week so I am staying away until the third. So I guess I would rather see him rest it and be ready to play HARD come 2-3-09

If anyone has some enlightening views on this, let me know. I've got Foye & Villanueva. I'd like to pick up Nash w/his sweet schedule (CHI, SAC, GS, GS), but wavering as to which one I should drop. Villa's been outscoring Foye, but Foye's sched is a little better thru the break. Thinking Nash would outscore both of them, should I flip that coin again?

I'd probably deal Villanueva. It's hard to hold anyone through a 1 in 6. Also, I can understand wanting to get Nash and his endless schedule, but you might want to consider someone that plays tomorrow and get Nash elsewhere if possible.

Not selling Milsap...looking at selling James on the 5th, and I currently do not have Murphy, Granger two guys I would love to have till past the ASB. If I knew Granger was going to play up to the ASB then I woudl be all over it. NJ players woudl work as you can jump back off on the 10th and get into someone that plays two games before the ASB

okay I read the injury thread and I am a go with Granger. I did want to hear someone talk about why...SAC players like Hawes and Thompson went up in price yesterday and now they have a 1 in 5. I already had both and I will be selling both of them. Probably will sell Tony Parker as well and again same scenario. MINN players look like a good buy as well

If he played tonight, I'd definitely trade him, but there's still a chance he'll play tomorrow night. if he does, great. If not, I'll trade him before tomorrow's game.

what's the pricing algorithm that makes 91 Millsap sells -110K and 342 Paul sells -160K.
caul me a jilted Millsap owner who got caught with only one trade, but still. I understand dampening price movement but it seems it should be a little more proportional.

isn't it also relative to (previous) ownership qwert? maybe more were holding paul than milsap before then sale.

[31] It is due to the dampening effect. There is a logarithmic multiplier that causes the price swings for large trade volumes to be much less than proportionate.
Note that 15 buys or sells had about a $30K impact. Using a linear extrapolation, Millsap would have lost $180K. And Paul could have lost more than $600K.
It all looks normal to me.
[32] No, that has no influence at all.

Actually, it would have been a bigger blow if not for Paul, who effectively converted Millsap's sells into a much smaller proportion of total total sells.
