I would love to know what the heck happened in Ind. Ind takes the lead with .8 seconds left. Cle manages to inbound the ball and James is fouled with .4 seconds. So aparently only .4 came off the clock. Ind then inbounds the ball and James fouls Granger with .1 seconds left.
How can you have 2 inbounds and only have .7 seconds come off the clock?

It will be interesting to watch how Foye develops now that he will be looked at as "the guy". I didn't think MN would win more than 1 or 2 games now that Jefferson is done for the year so I am a bit surprised they would use it up on the first game.

I was watching...first Granger fouled Lebron (not really) going up for a lob. Then Lebron fouled Granger (not really) going up for a lob. Very weird.

Yeah- the ref blew the first call -being intimidated apparently by Lebron's protest after the non-call on the excellent defensive play to deny the lob to LBJ by Granger followed by LBJ's subtle flop and flailing arms. Granger and O'Brien both lit into the refs, and actually I thought the refs were gracious not to T them up and cost them the game. O'Brien was smart, however, and the inbounds play he called was a screen for Granger on a curl to the hoop....Lebron fought over the screen and recovered late to jump up and body Granger in his attempt to deny the lob. Again, the ball went out of bounds and the clock started at the touch and stopped almost immediately. O'Brien gave the refs a chance for the make-up call, and they took it. Brown and Lebron weren't happy, but it was only 'fair'. Granger nailed the first free throw , and then intentionally clanked the second FT to exhaust the game clock for the one point win. Sweet win for the Pacers with Foster, Dunleavy, and Daniels all out tonight. Too bad my wife screwed up the DVR while I coached my boys' grade school basketball team, and by the time I got home, I only got to see the last half of the fourth quarter. Still, a good finish to a good game (for Pacer fans, anyway).

Any of you vets out there - at this point with the all-star break coming up, do the top teams usually burn these 4 trades before the break or save them to set up things for after the break?

On Red Kerr night with Jordan and Pippen in attendance, the Bulls with an impressive come from behind victory against the Pistons. How sweet it is!
Lookout, the Bulls are acting like a possible playoff team.

If you mean will people trade Wed players to a Thursday Chi player just to pick up a game, I would say most would definitely not.
I see this time just like any other. I use trades if I see a good chance to improve my team and hold when I see good situations on the other side.

I concur with G. It really just depends on the circumstances of your team. Some years several trades present themselves during this week and some years not. The good thing is that if you're low on trades early in the week there are four fewer days than normal for things to go wrong. But it can be handy to use this week to build up your trades. Does everyone remember how two years ago most people banked trades during All-Star week and it was a good thing because most people had about FIVE injuries the next week. Craziest week ever by far.

I do not see any teams that do play on Thursday having any good schedule on the other side of the ASB....so yes it woudl be buying on for one game and I can not see that. any buys would be for schedules on the other side of the ASB. I mean there will be some price swings and someone will be sold...who and who is hot after the ASB?
