Lets continue the solid period that we had last time and make a move for the top

I am wishing that I moved durant yesterday into kidd. Now I am not sure where to go from him. It needs to be a guard tho. Earlier I was thinking it would be nice to free up some money to go from murphy or lee to Duncan in a few days but now realize that i could possible move the pair of them to Duncan/scola or love and use up some money on a durant replacement. None look very good though.

DPR,

You have a lot of trades, so I would look for good rotations to gain games. I had a few until I decided to get Howard yesterday which does not look very good at present.

I assume you would hold Durant through Saturday game. If you are thinking of Kobe to Wade, then Durant could be way back to Kobe or possibly a big forward/center if you downgraded Shaq prior to Sunday and have the flex with Durant until then to do either a Forward or guard.

I would probably use the Murphy/Lee option on Tuesday to Duncan and a cheap.

having a hard time finding an option. Durant is just producing so well that he outpoints most people even in his slow spell. One possible guy that I like is Ming but through 3/15 (the best time to sell yao) Durant projects to outscore him.

Even through the driest stretch of his schedule there are so few people who outpoint him by enough to warrant an extra trade. And thats if I have a path back into him which I don't currently see.

One option would be durant to cheapie and then Lee/Murphy back to durant/duncan. This however costs me an extra trade to potentially ony get one extra cheapie game and also forces me onto a cheapie guard over players I like more.

Moving shaq could be an option but I would need to move him to a center to make it work and I am not sure I see any that are all that great. (or move shaq to a cheap guard now are there any??? and then mvoe durant to a more expensive center but as stated durant projects to outpoint many of them.

With so many trades hard to hold through a 1in5 though.

If I had Durant I'd be looking forward to games against Phx and GS before I did anything.

I was going to suggest Deron, but that's only a one game advantage for 4 weeks. Durant has been so awesome that he could outpoint Kidd with 13 games to 16. I wonder if trading him at all is a necessity.

How about Durant for a quick back-to-back of Rondo (vs. Phx and Den), then possibly back to Durant? Do you have enough trades stockpiled that you could afford to do that?

I do ahve enough trades and was looking at that. However I feel there will be many oppurtunities to use one trade to gain a game. I would rather save them for when the guy I am gaining the game from gives 45+. However rondo is performing very well lately and those are good matchups

Four players average 45+ this year and 3 of them will be on our rosters long term. Only 7 guys are even averaging 40+ for the year and one of them is Al Jefferson (though Durant, Deron, and Gasol can currently be projected for 40+). Better quickie trades than Rondo on Sunday may not come along.

I went by the last month where there are 11 players who are averaging over 40. Rondo was the 11th of these players so obviously he deserves consideration. There are 7 averaging over 45 also.

sold granger and b. gordon yesterday and couldn't come up with any options I liked so went invalid last night to avoid their losses and reassess today.
I have 9.74M and need two players, one which must be a guard.
Quick look and I am thinking about taking a flyer on Aaron Brooks which would leave me enough money for Amare Stoudemire.
Any other suggesions or thoughts.

Both those players seem risky as you are hoping the recent changes benefit them but you arent really sure.

Maybe Kidd/Scola?

So looks like no Amare BD.

This makes me even less reluctant to move Shaq so it does look like it is Durant for a gaurd or hold

What are the team's thoughts on Sessions and Charlie V? I was planning to hold both through March 7, and the Bucks have as many games during that time as any team other than the Cavs (who have no one worth trading into). The Sessions thing is f-ing ridiculous---I'm thinking I may have to live through ups and downs because of the idiotically erratic way he's used but that he'll mix in some big games and be worth the hold. No way Barbosa duplicates what he did tonight and I don't think Brooks can average 30.

With Charlie, I assume he'll be suspended for one game, but I think he still projects to outscore anyone in his price range during the time I'd like to hold him except for Tyrus, who always seems risky and moreso now with Miller coming in.

Can anyone talk me out of holding both? I know they'll both lose money but I'm going almost entirely for points now and Charlie is sure to make some money back.

I also haven't decided for sure to trade Kobe for Wade tomorrow---I like Kobe's upcoming opponents much better, this is a move that can be made at several points without losing any games and I'd be more likely to run out of trades this week than next week. Is everyone going Kobe > Wade tomorrow? (It's a day game, BTW).

I think both Sesssons and CV will get sold off today since there is a break in the schedule. I had originally planned on holding both but am leaning toward considering trading if it will allow other future trade and rotate back if and when the picture is clearer.

I agree Brooks may not be able to average 30 but if he were 25+ for his price might be worth it if you can use the money elsewhere and pair him with another player to make points match.

Villanueva and sessions make things interesting with the cheapies who emerged last night. I currently moved sessions to barbosa who I think will be able to maintain a higher average then brooks now that pheonix has reverted to uptempo play and with Amare's injury. I couldnt come up with a plan for the extra money.

With Charlie V even if he misses a game he still projects at the top of the sortables for the next 2 weeks. I will hold at least until I hear he is for sure out.

I think I am going to hold durant. The quick in and out is tempting but I will need his g/f elibility if the cheapie that I want from lee/murphy is to be a guard. Then I will likely will deciding between scola and brooks. I like scola for 30/game but another game should give me a better idea if brooks can also maintain that.

I think I will go Sessions > Barbosa and keep Charlie even if he's suspended. A guy whose playing time is being jerked with worries me more than one who figures to miss a game but is healthy and playing well. Plus I can get Tyrus anyway from Durant to free up money for Murphy > Duncan. I won't go Kobe > Wade today because I would have no emergency trades and emergencies seem to be cropping up every day.

Problem is all those guys games start earlier. I have eliminated the Wash guys because I dont want to have the money tied up longterm for marginal production. Plenty of guys provide higher averages for less. Plus I have the trades I dont need 4 week holds. I like kidd over Ming because he gives me a game advantage short term so I can take that advantage and then move to Ming or move on to a player who more exceeds his price. Williams same thing I can get a 6 to 4 advantage.

So I guess I am leaning kidd if I get info in time and am around to make the move.

And to think I sacrificed both lee and murphy early to get myself in this problem. At least Scola did well.

I got Duncan last night on non-GMD team and hope he plays tonight. With the timing of the game, it is a tough call but Yao may have to be it or hold since I am in the same position of needing a center on that team.

I have a last minute business trip i have to take today and couldn't get the spreadsheet done. I won't be able to do it tomorrow either, but should be good to go on Saturday (At least until the 14th or 15th).
Limited time to spend on basketball lately and my team is suffering badly because of it. On a positive note I wanted to trade into Duncan but didn't have the funds to go Anthony --> Duncan so ended up holding him and avoiding then Duncan DNP.
Off to Oklahoma in an hour or so.

I haven't gone Kobe > Wade yet, and Odom is my trade-in for Durant. Should I go ahead and make both trades as soon as possible? I'd be left with two trades, neither of which I'll definitely use this week.

Dodged the Durant bullet: this late in the year I'm not crazy about trading guys on days they play, though I did go Kobe > Wade and I guess I'll go Tyrus > Scola today. Don't know what I was thinking when I bought Tyrus: his decline in minutes was predictable and he'll probably always be a (talented) tease.

I also dodged the Durant bullet on this team but not others. I did have plans to get him and now will have to rethink things if he is out for awhile.

My RV took a real hit yesterday especially with some the guys playing last night. I think I saw red on 8 of 10.

dpr, it's better than Shaq waiting until AFTER you've moved him to start playing well!

My dilemma, as I'm sure it is for others, is what to do about KryptoNate: I've been planning to get him Saturday from Barbosa, and while I could buy Westbrook instead, Nate has a 5 in 7 after Westbrook's schedule ends, plus Nate is cheaper. The Knicks game starts earlier than the Thunder's on Saturday, but checking lineups does no good because Nate doesn't start. If anyone gets good information on Nate between now and game-time Saturday please post!

At this stage, it is a question of production, health and trades. West does have a very good schedule except for one three game week. Since I had planned on holding Paul until the end, West could make it to the end if owned. If they produce at recent levels it would be hard to trade them once you own them. I might look for a way to own both Odom and West although there was some hint Bynum might be back at the end of the month and then Odom might not be as interesting.

Who's a better buy Sunday, Iguodala or S Jax? Jax is substantially better, averaging 40+ over a long period to mid-30's for Iggy, but Iggy has two more games the rest of the year and doesn't have the Nellie factor. I'm worried that Nellie will randomly hold Jax out a couple more times, cut down his playing time, or even shut him down entirely. Is Jackson worth the risk? If he plays normal minutes he's good enough to keep the rest of the way even with a less than ideal schedule, or he could be traded for Iggy or someone else once his schedule slows.

I like Sjax because of the higher average per game. However, Sjax in bit like Camby--you better have a trade ready as it is hard to stomach a DNP at this time of year. Iggy has been a bit too inconsistent for me but could be held to the end and is a g/f. I would have to look at his averages and see if it is good enough to hold Iggy for his price.

I haven't checked recently but is nellie's plan still to rotate giving his guys a day off so that he can play everyone? because of this I am not sure I like SJAX as a longterm hold. He does have a great average though.

I am not sure of all your plans but I assume you are looking for a g/f. Hamilton and miller could also fit this for you and seem to be producing similar to Igoudala lately. If you can use the extra 4M then I like these guys much more.

Hamilton was my plan as well. Now I am second guessing myself however. other moves include Ming to randolph and (i think) williams to A. Miller. With already having 3M in the bank I am not sure I need to free up all that extra money. Shaq also needs to go somewhere but i should have enough money regardless. taking jackson looks more appealing

I will be trading Yao and Scola tomorrow and want one of the players I get to be Zach Randolph for a 9 in 14. I am already locked into each of these players for at least 2.5 weeks:

Paul, Wade, Andre Miller, Nate, LeBron, Hughes, Duncan, Lee.

Hamilton and Mike Miller certainly seem like better values than Iggy and I would probably take Hamilton if this were early in the year, but Iggy has the best schedule and is still probably the best player of the three, plus he's durable and Iverson may come back soon to cut into Rip's production.

Unless I don't get Randolph I think it still comes down to Iggy or Jax for me---there's enough money to go around now that not every player needs to be a great bargain any more. He may be inconsistent from game to game, but over an extended stretch I think I can rely on Iggy for 35-36 per game for his 7 million.

Miller plays today, so depending on your plans you'd probably lose a game or two compared to Hamilton.

I hope Randolph doesn't just barely fit for anybody (the way he just barely fits into his clothes) because I can guarantee that he'll make good money today even though he will miss the game.

If he keeps scola one more game he can transition to miller fine. Shouldn't lose any games and the money at this point isnt much an issue.

I actually did jsut come up with a rotation which barely fit. Had me moving scola, ming, shaq williams to A miller, jackson, duncan, and randolph. With only 200k extra I imagine this window will not hold. May pass on the risky jackson and go with hamilton instead. It is tough because no one fits nicely out of shaq and williams
