Trade him and he'll blow up...Hold him and he'll blow it.

Pretty confident I'll make the wrong decision.

Very appropriate title for today. I'm selling, but if it's like any of my other recent moves, I'm sure it'll be the wrong one.

I know exactly how this Murphy thing is going to play out but I'm going to go with my plan anyway. I'll be quoting this post in a few days.

I'm finding it odd that people consider trading Murphy a tough decision. Tim Duncan is must own. He can be held conceivably for the rest of the season. His schedule advantage over Murphy starts today and never evens out at any point. For my team and many others Murphy has to be sacrificed in order to get Duncan. Potential disaster lurks around every corner in this game, but this decision was easy.

It's more complicated if Duncan isn't an option. I've mapped out a ton of different plans today, about half of them involving keeping Murphy and half of them involving selling him, and it's amazing how equal they all come out in both projected points and money.

Same here SU, but in the end getting me Durant was too tempting for me.

On my team that didn't get Duncan yet I traded Murphy for Kevin Love (who probably no one else bought today) to free up money for future moves. Maybe if I had 80 million I wouldn't feel the need to do this, but I didn't see keeping Murphy as an option at all.

Tim Duncan missed Tuesday's game against the Mavericks with a sore knee.
This is just the second missed game for Duncan this season and you have to wonder if Gregg Popovich is pulling another trick like when he benched most of his starters against the Nuggets earlier this season. Either way, we're guessing this is just a typical night off for Duncan and that the injury is not serious, although the surprise DNP still hurts his fantasy owners. Feb. 24 - 8:24 pm et

Bah, you're right, I should have gone to Durant probably. That was actually my original pre-Granger-injury plan, and in coming up with my 200 plans today, that's the one option I overlooked. It might work out for the best though as doing that would have locked me into selling one player over another in a few days, and the jury is still out on that one.

THis is the most amazing thread title ever - Murphy's Law when you consider we have post 9 calling Duncan a must own. He then does "Murphy's Law" and promptly DNP's with little to no notice.

This brings up a very interesting situation. Pop rested Duncan after an OT game not to long ago only to later say it was really because Duncan was having knee issues. We have a dense schedule for SA and the playoffs more of a priority for SA than Duncan playing every game. Is he the next Shaq? Will he sit games but even worse sit them without notice?

San Antonio is not catching the Lakers and really doesn't need home court to win in first 2 rounds of the playoffs. They are more concerned with making sure their big 3 are healthy and ready for the postseason.

If this trend was to become more and more of a rule for the NBA teams to rest player s as much as it seems this year then look out because that will add another dimension to how you pick your players. That list of who you will never own again will get large and the easier list to look at will be the players you have as options...LOL

Can't complain to much about Brooks, qwert. He's a $500K player ( or was ), with a golden schedule. If this was early in the year, we'd be tickled to have him on our roster.

It's all a matter of expectations.

I was just trying to get him to turn it around...you're right, but it's not the beginning of the year and I think there are enough options that 25 TSNP/game should be the target for your worst player.

how about this 6 point play?

6:17 PHO - J. Richardson hits a free throw
6:17 PHO - S. Nash hits a technical free throw
6:17 CHA - Shooting foul on D. Diop
6:17 PHO - J. Richardson makes a 7-foot turnaround jumper in the lane
6:27 PHO - J. Richardson hits the second clear path free throw
6:27 PHO - J. Richardson hits the first clear path free throw
6:27 CHA - Clear path foul on R. Felton

The one in St Louis? That's probably about average.
