Due to personal reasons, I am unable to continue managing my TSN teams so I'm offering up all 10 of my Top 100 (though they may not be much longer) teams for others to manage.

Thanks for the concerns, but everything's fine. Just no time for a hobby as demanding as TSN Hoops anymore. When the biggest problem in your life is the inability to play fantasy basketball, you really can't complain.
I think I'm going to "retire" for at least a couple of years and reevaluate as my lifestyle changes. Perhaps I'll use this opportunity to be more participative in the TSN/RG community as a non-competitor and add to discussions with less of a self-interest --- actual "public service announcements" if you will. ;)

Are you far enough ahead in some of your divisions that you might win them even if you don't update your teams? That might be a kick. Or could you take a little time to put together a lineup for the last four weeks, maybe making changes only if you happen to hear about a major injury?
Anyway, good luck, and you have a standing offer to be my advisor next season.

Very sorry to hear you are having personal struggles. I really don't know how some of you do it managing 10 TEAMS! I tried managing 5 one year and I really had no fun... I have found manging ONE team to be the most fun. I always think, only one team hurts my chances of winning, but it really doesn't because you spend more time planing for that one team and that team does better! The last couple of years I have settled on three basketball teams; a reasonable number and I often structure them the same or very similar so it cuts down on planning time.
Retiring from managing 10 team sounds like a terrific idea. You will be sorely missed if you quit playing all together.

I can't handle more than one team...don't think he said he's having personal struggles though.
I can empathize though...this game is a grind...and it's not real believe it or not. I took a year off a few years ago and could probably stand to do so again pretty soon but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Just checking in for the night for the 1st time tonight. I see Wade played but perhaps I should create some competition and put my 5 teams up too since my interest may be equal or less than Blooki's. I think I can beat his reasons for bailing and I have higher rankings :)

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think putting up teams for " adoption " is in the best interests of everyone. If, for what ever reasons, lack of time, lack of interest, general apathy, etc., maybe it's best that those teams just be abandoned.
There are those competing for division , RV or ranking prizes. Maybe G or Blooki ( or who ever ) aren't prize eligible. Their teams just clog up the prize structure, so then the should just sit idle for any still competing.
Or maybe I'm just being cranky.

Agree 100% and I'm not even prize eligible, playing just for fun and rankings. Basic principle of this game is to have team managers taking care of their teams from beginning to end of the season. If they feel like quiting whatever the reason is, no isse at all but tranfering teams to other people just biase all the rankings and derived prizes.

Personally I don't have a problem with it. Blooki bought the teams with his own money and he can do whatever with it. He can pass off his teams after first day of the season or the second last day it'd be totally his discretion. Would it make people feel better if Blooki had asked others to team sit for him for the remaining of the season? By all means Blooki can pass off his teams privately and no one here would knew what had happened.
And BTW, I see CJ has taken over the majority of Blooki's teams. No offense to CJ but I'd consider this an actual advantage to anyone trying to chased Blooki.

Wow, didn't expect to create this uproar.
There was little to no chance that the teams would have been entirely abandoned as Dave R suggested. I really was looking to give any eager managers shiny new trades and perhaps some more RV to play with. I am still commandeering two of the teams and would probably be 'able' to handle all 10, I just wouldn't have very much fun doing so. I even had trouble letting go a bit and still made some moves on teams I had supposedly already given away.
I'm sorry to anybody who is bothered by this, but I really don't think I stepped over a line here for many of the reasons that Pica pointed out.

I think everyone has periods where they do not have enough time to manage teams and their teams suffer.
I think if Blooki had signed up to 10 teams it is a little hypocritical to throw up 8 teams and say I can manage two. I have cut back on the number of teams I have because difficult time committment to manage them. Blooki plays many of the teams the same which is the easiest way to manage, so I would hope next year he cut back to say three teams if he has any thoughts he might not have the time.
I think managers competing in divisions with him might feel a little frustrated losing out on a division prize because someone took over for him at this stage of the season like a SU or another top ranked manager.

I'm behind on of Blooki's teams in my league by 1200 pts. or so. I look at it this way, if I'm not yet good at building RV and saving trades, it doesn't matter who's running his teams or at what point in the season. I ranked at 180 WWR or so right now and I think that's pretty good considering I hadn't played in 6-7 yrs.
