Tonight is pretty much like the Lottery.
Hope to pick some good numbers for once :)

I don't know why the league did that, but it makes it a lot less crazy for us I think.

Haha, it's like ripping off a band-aid as opposed to feeling each hair slowly pull. Just sit back, don't check a thing, watch Lost, and come back and see who has ruined you. Two years ago with all the staggered times I remember working on all these spreadsheets as the results came in, trying to guess who twolves had taken and trying to guess who I'd need to take to come closest to correcting the damage done. Not fun.

It's amazing how I can convince myself in a five minute span how certain players are getting 45 minutes and 10 minutes of playing time. This should be interesting.

My guess is that the NBA didn't want the results of an earlier game to influence the strategy of a later game - within reason. So they synched up all the early games.

Of course, the late game strategies could still depend on the outcome of one or more early games, but I guess you can't have games start at 9pm in the east and 6pm in the west - just to solve that limited issue.

Ten minutes left until the final opportunity to see my haven't-made-the-playoffs-in-four-years Pacers. Never thought it would come to this. At least they play the equally exciting Milwaukee Bucks. Should be a real heart-stopper.

It also might be that they wanted to be sure to televise games that have playoff implications so they made all of them start at ESPN times.

I hope the people I'm close to in the standings bit on that bogus report that Paul's minutes would be limited the way I did. Rotoworld really shouldn't speculate about players' minutes unless they're sure. At least Paul > Sessions has cost me only 7.5 points at the half. My team that can't win anything was fortunate enough to have so many must trades that it was "stuck" with Paul and West. I wonder if I can win the day with that team.

qwert, are you up? Who'd you end up taking? I'm assuming you held Paul...

My 2nd team completely melted down tonight. I had Dalembert, Rondo, Marvin Williams (where is he? why do I have him?), and Harrington on that one. Essentially took 4 DNPs and wasted a great game by Rose.

G: Paul, Iggy, Rose, Miller
F: Bosh, Dirk, Thompson, A. Randolph
C: Aldridge, Murphy

I sure hope my Randolph gamble pays off.

(Here's how the logic in my mind works: Lopez got 20.5, Paul got 61.5 translates to "oh my god every one of his players outscored mine by 80 it's all over". I'm not even kidding. You have no idea how wired I've been for the past hour.)

Thanks, it's been a fun year. You really played this season flawlessly (and scared the crap out of me daily for the past couple months). I really hope next year we'll get to have a rematch and go through all this insanity again.
