Monta Ellis missed Thursday's shootaround because he wasn't feeling well.
He's expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game, but may not be at 100 percent.

Danny Granger-G/F- Pacers Dec. 7 - 3:12 pm et

Mike Wells said on Twitter that Danny Granger had to be taken off the team's charter flight in a wheelchair before take off Sunday because his foot was in too much pain.

Jim O'Brien also seems to be preparing to be without Granger for the foreseeable future, meaning Dahntay Jones should be held, and possibly started, by fantasy owners. We won't know MRI results until Tuesday, but Granger should be benched until further notice

no injury, but...

Anthony Morrow made it to Oklahoma City just in time to catch the team's flight to New York for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Morrow had been in Detroit dealing with a family matter, but is expected to play Wednesday. Keep him in your lineup.

Anderson Varejao is listed as questionable after missing the team shootaround Friday due to an illness.
There's still a possibility that he can play tonight but it's best to check back prior to tip off. If Varejao can't make it, it could mean the Cavs will rely a bit more on Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson to pick up the slack.

Mo Williams was not with the Cavaliers for the team shootaround due to illness and is currently listed as questionable to play Friday night.
Yikes! This is a sudden development, so have we hope you have other options handy. Check back close to game time to see if he is in or out.

Was watching the Lakers game and Kobe was noticeably favoring his right hand, but he also showed he might just be the best non-natural left handed player as he made most of his passes and several difficult layups with his left hand. He still shots jumpers and FTs with right handed though.

Allen Iverson was limited during Saturday's practice because of a stress reaction in his right fibula.
The aging guard is still fighting to regain his conditioning, and this latest injury won't help one bit. He's been rusty since returning, his minutes are limited, and there's no guarantee he'll play on Monday. Reserve him in fantasy leagues until we see shadows of the old A.I.rotoworld

Morrow suffers "Nelsonitis"

It was Anthony Morrow's turn Saturday to get the young-player treatment.

Morrow was the last of the Warriors' first- and second-year guys to play forgotten man. Stephen Curry played 2 1/2 minutes at New York, and Anthony Randolph has had three sub-10-minute games.

Morrow played eight first-half minutes against Detroit before starting the second half on the bench. He made 4 of 15 shots against Chicago on Friday, and missed his first two shots against the Pistons.

Last week, coach Don Nelson said Morrow "has to be on the court all the time."

Pacers swingman Dahntay Jones took a hard fall when he tried to follow T.J. Ford's missed layup with a one-handed dunk with about seven minutes left in the game. Jones remained on the ground for several minutes before walking to the locker room.

He returned with one-tenth of a second left.

"My shoulder, my hip, they're both sore," Jones said as he sat with several ice bags on his body after the game. "I'm sore, but I'll be fine."

Chris Douglas-Roberts, who was a late scratch for Sunday's game against the Hawks, has a mildly sprained left knee and is considered day-to-day.
He missed 12 games last season because of a sprain to his other knee, but doesn't think this one is as bad. "It doesn't really hurt," he said. Results of the actual MRI haven't been released, but this sounds like good news for his owners, and we'll pass along details as soon as they are released.

NJ Nets' Chris Douglas-Roberts believes he'll play next game despite knee sprain

But an MRI confirmed what he had predicted before receiving the results: There was no serious damage.

“I could walk around on it this morning,” Douglas-Roberts said. “Either way, I wasn’t going to be out (for much) time. I’m looking forward to play the next game.”

He’s looking forward to it because it’s child’s play: His matchup is against some slug named LeBron James, Tuesday in Cleveland.

The Nets are listing him as day-to-day. Douglas-Roberts said the injury wasn’t causing him much pain, but it had an effect on how he moved laterally. “The worst thing is when you’re thinking about it,” he added.

Dahntay Jones is questionable to play in Monday's game because of a hip injury.
Jones landed hard on his shoulder and hip on Saturday, and although he said he'd be ready to play on Monday there are obviously no guarantees. Where possible, fantasy owners should look for safer options heading into Week 8.

Tim Kawakami reporting that Mikki Moore has bone spurs and is out indefinitely, pending surgery. Turiaf is out, Biedrins is out, now Moore. Who plays C for the Warriors? Talk about small-ball. Could be good for Randolph in the interim until Biedrins comes back in a couple of weeks.

I'm 5'9", 150 pounds, and played 2 years of NAIA ball in the mid 1990s. I received a call from Warriors management over lunch and am currently being outfitted in the youth section of the gift shop for a uniform. I'm told I won't be starting tonight, but I should get around 22 minutes. Nellie told me that on offense, under no circumstances am I to go inside of the three point line. If for some reason I find myself with the ball in my hands, though, he's said "jack it up. You can't score if you don't shoot." He said nothing about defense whatsoever.

News: Carl Landry is questionable to play vs. the Thunder on Saturday after losing three teeth in Friday's game.
Impact: Landry is a tough dude, and after being shot last season an elbow to the face sounds tame, but it would be very surprising if he returned this quickly. The Rockets should provide an update later in the afternoon on Saturday.

Carl Landry (mouth) will not play in Saturday's game vs. the Thunder.
Landry was a game-time decision, which is pretty impressive after he lost three teeth (and parts of two more) in a collision with Dirk Nowitzki's elbow on Friday. Consider him day-to-day going forward.

Lou Williams (jaw) will reportedly be active for the 76ers on Saturday.
Sweet Lou beat his expected return date by weeks, and there are certainly more than a few owners who regret dropping him. The absence of Allen Iverson (knee) could encourage Philly to work Williams into the rotation quicker than they would have.

a big scare followed by sigh of relief

Chris Paul left momentarily during the second quarter of Sunday's game after aggravating the same ankle that caused him to miss eight games, but still finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Given the fact that he missed so much time, and he is who he is, of course this injury needs to be watched like a hawk. To us, this sounds like the type of soreness that occurs when a player, like Paul, gets back on the court as fast as they can. We wouldn't get too worried about it.

News: Dirk Nowitzki will sit out of Sunday's game after suffering a deep elbow laceration on Friday.
Impact: The Mavs are listing him as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Blazers. Look for the team to make up for Dirk's absence by giving more minutes to guys like J.J. Barea and Drew Gooden, and even though he played 40 minutes Saturday there is a ton of incentive for Josh Howard to play on the back-to-back.

From Rotowire:
Dwyane Wade said his back locked up on him during Sunday's loss to the Blazers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Wade fought through the pain to finish with 28 points and 10 assists, but needed 31 shots to get his points and didn't grab a rebound. Obviously, the back is still bothering him, so there's potential for him to miss a game.

Trail Blazers center Joel Pryzbilla had to be helped off the court by teammates in the first quarter of Tuesday's game, after suffering what appeared to be "a horrific knee injury."
He wasn't putting any weight on his right leg, another devastating blow to the short-handed Blazers. They have no choice but to use Juwan Howard and Anthony Tolliver at center, but don't be surprised if they soon sign a free agent for reinforcements.

Not an injury but--
The Wizards and the NBA are investigating Gilbert Arenas' alleged possession of a firearm and whether he violated league rules.
Arenas reportedly stored unloaded firearms in a locked box, without ammunition, in his locker. No criminal charges will be filed, but a fine or suspension from the NBA are possible. NBA rules forbid players from possessing firearms on league property or during league business. The investigation is ongoing, so stay tuned.

Gilbert Arenas acknowledged bringing a firearm into the Wizards' locker room and storing it in his locker, but there has been no decision by the NBA regarding a potential suspension for violation of league rules.
The firearm was unloaded and without ammunition, and Arenas' statement indicated that he brought them to his locker to remove them from his house, and the presence of his children. He said one week later he told team security to turn the guns over to police. Both the Wizards and Arenas seem to be out ahead of this issue, but it remains to be seen if David Stern makes an example out of him.

Despite being listed as doubtful, Tyreke Evans is expected to play through his sprained ankle on Monday.

It was Paul Westphal who called him doubtful in our previous report, but Evans must be feeling better today. With four games this week, it makes sense to keep him active in nearly all leagues.

Troy Murphy is not expected to play on Wednesday after spraining his ankle in Tuesday's loss to the Bulls. Dave D'Alessandro of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Chris Douglas-Roberts (ankle) has been cleared to return to action on Wednesday.
CDR tweeted earlier that he'd be back in action, but it's good to see the official news coming from a Nets beat reporter. It should be safe to activate him in daily leagues, though it's possible he'll be rusty in his first game since Dec. 19.
