0 Subject: TSN Hoops: Team Validity Screener

With the TSN site redesign, it's not a simple exercise to screen all of your teams to ensure that all slots are filled and all teams are valid.

To assist in that effort, I've just built a program that will print out a current summary of all of teams registered under your ID (Ultimate and Basic).

The program will need to log into your TSN account to do this, so you will need to include your TSN username and password in the URL. (I do not store this information anywhere - but you'll simply have to trust me on that.)

Here is the generic URL:
http://rotoguru1.com/hoop/jscript/check_my_teams.php?username=XXXXX&pass=PPPP

where XXXXX is your TSN username (the name you log in with)
and PPPP is your password

Once you run this once, I suggest that you bookmark the URL so that you'll be easily able to run it. I can't provide a working link for it, since it has to include the unique username and password for each account.

I ran it for my teams, and it seems to work OK. I tried selling a player to go invalid, and then ran it, and it successfully flagged the incomplete roster. So I think it's working - but, as always, I cannot make any assurances. In any event, it's certainly a more efficient review mechanism than going through every team lineup, one by one.

Hopefully, this will save some anxiety and avoid some unfortunate errors.

Let me know if you encounter any issues.

Great tool Guru.
However I bookmarked it and get this(if I open the Bookmark):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4763648 bytes) in /home/www/rotoguru1/hoop/jscript/Request.php on line 938

If I copy/paste from here, then it works fine....

I suspect that's just a coincidence.

The error message occurs occasionally when the server doesn't have enough memory to allocate. Usually, if you wait a few moments, it'll run OK.

There may have been too many people trying to run it at once after I posted it.

Wasn't even aware that there was a page 2. I'll work on that. How many teams fit on page one?

Another amazing tool. I wonder why TSN can't figure out how to get all that info on 1 page.

Thanks again.

Still haven't accommodated managers with more than 10 teams, but I'll get there.

Meanwhile, I did make an enhancement to let you sort the results in a way that might be more intuitive.

Currently, teams are displayed in the same order that they appear on your team overview page.

If you would rather arrange them to appear in a different sequence, then you can append a "sort" value to the URL.

Here's how to do it. Let me use an example.
Assume you have 5 teams. Looking at your TSN team page, you would like to have the teams arranged as follows:
1st column: 4th team listed at TSN
2nd column: 1st team listed at TSN
3rd column: 5th team listed at TSN
4th column: 2nd team listed at TSN
5th column: 3rd team listed at TSN

Simply append this to the end of the URL:
&sort=4-1-5-2-3

That should do it.

Program has been updated to handle more than 10 teams, and also displays Total SNP and League rank (since the data is readily available.)

I have updated this program to work for RotoHog Salary Cap.

Same link as last year (see opening post)

Same re-sorting capability (see post 8)

Let me know if something isn't working properly.
