According to coach Jim O'Brien, Mike Dunleavy's minutes will be reduced over the next four games to keep him fresh.
He had been limited to roughly 26 minutes in recent games but with four games in a five day stretch the Pacers are going to drop him down to 24. Stay patient and hope that his body continues to manage well in the minutes he's given.

yea 12/24-25 is the most efficient time to trade him but its like the worst date to trade I don't see any good schedules starting then...it looks like either trading midway into an already good schedule or to get into someone a week or two early

also advice on a non gmd team
I need a player similar to brewer's price, preferably a center
so I'm stuck between frye and pryzabilla, atm I have pryzabilla on the roster
Pryzz is going to get 30+ mins a night with Oden and Outlaw, out they hava great schedule starting today as well, and also able to be held longer then frye possibly because of low ownership
Frye will probably get more buys over the next few days i assume but will probably be a week and half hold at best
Suggestions? Have an hour to decide

ya by namebrand mentality frye is definitely the choice. Pryzz's problem is that he doesnt score, and his "blowup" games are based on having multiple blocks and steals which arent reliable.
I been scarred by frye though, on this gmd team becasue I had bought into him a few weeks early for this part of his schdedule and watched him go from mid 2 million down to below 2 while also not performing well. One of the few pickups that make this my worst team.

I think I like Prz slightly over Frye based on recent performance. However, I like Frye's f.c flex if needed in the future and if holding long term. He has a longer period before a 2 game week. That said despite plans for long term, I find I never hold cheapies that long anyways.
I may also be a bit prejudiced since just traded out of Frye because of disappointing performance recently.

well as a short term i would take frye becasue by namebrand alone i think he will make more immediate gains then pryz, but i would definitely trade him by 26 or 28 as I am not sitting through another half million leak.
pryzz on other hand would be a longer term hold becasue I doubt there will be many buyers into him. Plus I give him the x factor because Oden just got injured and his numbers and playing time has almost doubled since then. While we already know Frye consistently puts up 20-30 every night, not that its such a bad thing, but just saying we have yet to see Frye go on a 30+ streak in awhile.

Interesting comparisons for 3 teams so close in standings. The 3 rosters have 21 different players. There are only 4 players common to all 3 teams (Lebron-Gasol-Love Evans)
others:
Kobe-Durant-Williams-Boozer-Camby-Nash-Roy-Lopez-Jennings-Thompson-Ariza-Dunleavy-Gordon-Frye-Gallanari-Landry-Hansbrough
Lot of different ways to play the game. Just get the combos that are most consistantly right. Great job.

You are right there Paul and I'm sure will be all year. Glenn, the key is when you get those guys that we all have. Try not to hop on a guy that most of us have had for a week already. Most times we are already planning our escape route. Keep plugging away your team looks to be in good shape.

yea congrats guys it looks like gurupies make up a good portion of the top 100
quick question ...when they are figuring out the top 100 prizes at end of season. Do they award someone like all top 10 prizes if they have the top 10 teams but same manager?
Or do they count all teams by one manager as one spot. E.g. if Blooki had 10 teams and all top 10. Would that mean that the guy ranked 11 would win 2nd place prize. and so on like that.

Got Gasol from Lopez today. I want the points even if the dollars aren't there. Also used my last trade for Landry > Casspi. Its risky, but minimal trade conservation has been working for this GMD team so far.

I'm writing this too late for it to affect your decision, but my answer to "Is it too late moneywise for Gasol?" is an emphatic, "No". He enters today with only 214 owners. Plus, he has a great long-term schedule. He could conceivably be held until after the all-star break the way he's producing for the price.

wow snowing so I slept in bed all day woke up too late to make my utah > gasol/nash moves ..screws up my plans for the week looks like I'll have to figure out getting wade tommorrow and possibly dropping durant along with deron/boozer, i think durant will be a loser tommorrow anyway unless he puts up like 70 tonight

I'll go along with the great majority of sell-offs, even if they don't make sense in terms of points, but with Love I think I'm going to have to draw the line. Without the pack mentality in this game, selling him would be ridiculous. He's the best player under 6 million, has been over 30 every game, and his two most recent games have been his best. Most importantly, there is no way to get a significant game advantage over him. There are no schedules we would ordinarily consider good the next two weeks. Love will be sold on 12/23 and 12/25, yet no player has more games between those dates and Jan. 2. I think I will be willing to take those hits, because he will be bought back on 12/29 and I don't think I would have a way back in. Love has to project as the highest scoring player in his price range from 12/23 to 1/11. I have a general policy of not selling players who will be bought back before the next refresh. I think I'd rather keep two trades than save maybe 300K in losses and get no extra points.

there are problems with love's exit date that I have brought up a couple days ago,
My reason to trade him would be to be able to package camby into wade.
Camby has same problem with love with not many options to trade into at his exit date (same as loves) but he will definitly lose money if he isnt sold then.

The difference between Camby and Love is that Camby's schedule actually gets bad.
For my team, I just can't see trading Love for a cheapie just so I can own Wade or Paul before their schedule is good. That's a lot of money to tie into a guy with a 4 in 10. I will get Wade and Paul when their schedules are good from schedules that are ebbing, save a trade on Love and hopefully make most of my Love money back. We'll see how that works.

I think the fact Love exit date unclear may cause some bleeding but mainly when money is required for another player. However, if he keeps performing at reasonable level buying should return 1/6 and maybe as soon as 12/29 for those wanting to get back in early.
I agree Camby has 2 game week next week and will need to be sold at refresh or sometime that week because following weeks are light also.

trading durant on all my teams
I picked up Duncan on all squads
on one team I still had boozer so I traded him out but now have enough to buy another stud but undecided as to who
I woke up too late to get Paul, and I'm happy I did.
So now I have Kobe, Wade, Nash, Gasol on my radar..in that order
to save trades I would take Wade but supposedly he has back spasms and sore wrists so i don't know if i want to commit to him so early
Nash fits nicely into Paul but that would commit me to a definite trade for next week on the last day
Gasol would have been clear choice IF i wasn't sleeping all day yesterday but at this point he is too high ownership I feel
Getting Kobe puts me a game above gettin Nash with the possibility of not having to trade him before next refresh. While I could save trades even more by getting Wade its a risky road to take right now.
Suggestions?

on principle i hate buying players when I know from the get go that its going to be a less then 2 week hold.
I could technically just hold Durant and save myself the trouble of deciding and the trade, but I have sold durant on my other teams and don't like leaving a man behind so to speak.

If Durant is your way to Paul than going to Nash who many are talking about transitioning into him makes sense to me and if have the money for Paul already would not need to make many adjustments. If you have another way to get to Paul planned than holding durant makes sense. I would probably opt for Paul over Wade if making the choice.
As far as Gasol goes, you did miss some money but it may depend on how long you would hold him. If selling 12/30 it would be similar to buying Nash. Although not making much RV gain with GAsol(same holds for Nash) may avoid RV loss of Durant which could be plus for the trade. Points would be at least equal, from past performance.
Duncan could be a longer hold but still would have to find way to Paul if desired and planning on holding Duncan.

thanks for the lengthy feedback
i took duncan on all squads with intentions to hold for the next 4 weeks. I figured in 2 weeks time the studs to have are wade paul and duncan so anyway to get into any of those guys now with the least moves or lost games would be optimal.
On the team in question I decided to just take Kobe since him and Nash have the same amount of games until paul's game on the 29th. But since Kobe plays the 29th too I just took him over nash since that gives me the option to just hold him in case i somehow need all 4 trades again next week before refresh.
Gasol's 33% ownership is too much for me at this point, I already had been burned multiple times this season by buying into a 30% player with multiple leak points ahead, I would buy in at 100-200k less then his maximum price then he would bleed like 400k and I actually traded into a $ loss.
Which is the main reason my rv is doing bad this year is becasue I took a 2 yr break from this game. 2 yrs ago it seemed ownership and trading early didn't affect the game as much as it does now. I assume it's because there are less managers and those that are still playing are all veterans making planned moves in conjunction. Its funny gurupies are like the federal reserve of TSN. I remember the old days of "lemmings" where making and holding RV was so much easier with just a little bit of thought.

When Chris Paul came back from his injury I noticed that in terms of games LeBron traded very neatly into Paul on January 4, so I've planned accordingly. Now people are talking about getting Paul on Dec. 29 which is starting to bug me one because I would be getting Paul late and two because I'm assuming people will keep LeBron until Jan. 12 when his schedule completely dies (LeBron being one of the few players immune to huge early sales) and I would have to endure four games of others having LeBron when I don't.
My current lineup is:
Tyreke, Ariza, Kobe, E. Gordon
LeBron, Thompson, Love, Dunleavy
Gasol, Duncan
I have been planning to trade Gordon for one of Jennings or Beasley, Ariza for the other one, Kobe for Wade, then LeBron for Paul using Dunleavy as flex (I got him pretty much only because he has flex).
Does anyone have a better plan that has me getting Paul earlier and trading LeBron later?
Are early Paul buyers skipping or delaying buying Wade? Are people planning to keep LeBron as long as they can?
Finally, a simple question: Who would you buy Wednesday, Beasley or Jennings? I can't tell if Beasley will be bought the week before Miami's schedule gets good or will remain in gravity.

I would trade for Jennings because I need a player who's close in price to Gordon and he's still GREAT for the price. No other player has more than a two game advantage over Jennings between now and 1/8 so I doubt I could get enough extra production from anyone else near the same price for it to be worth an extra trade. How is buying Jennings before his good schedule different from buying Paul starting a 3 in 8 the way some did yesterday?
Reebertxx, if you're keeping LeBron forever, does that mean you're skipping Wade? BTW, Cleveland's schedule is tied for the worst between 1/12 and 2/17.
To the team in general, are you planning to buy Wade, or just going for Paul and holding LeBron?

If Jennings is the fit for long term, then buying early makes sense. I am not sure , you may not need to look at a cheaper player and "barbell". Is Gasol off the table as a way to Paul?? You have Love and Duncan for centers.
If Trading Lebron, do you plan to rotate back to Lebron and when? In your current position, I think it would be hard to go without Lebron for long.

As long as Wade is healthy, I want him and Paul and Lebron. Lebron is probably the one player I will never give up until his schedule gets really bad. I also have tentative plans to obtain Beasley early. I think he will pull out of gravity this week.

The really cheap players seem too unreliable: witness Casspi yesterday. The cheapies I've thought of are Quentin Richardson (not too exciting), Dorell Wright (playing time could evaporate at any time) and CDR (bad schedule and possibly injured). Have I missed anyone? I feel much safer with guys like Jennings and Beasley.
Gasol I think of as long term. 44 TSNP at under 9 million and I can't find better than a two game advantage before I'd want to go back to him. Also, he plays on the 29th (Paul's big buy day).
I don't think LeBron would come back until Feb. 18---his schedule eventually gets awfully bad.

Pica, that trade sounds pretty lateral to me. All I can see that you're getting is avoiding Dunleavy's price hits (which will be reduced by Thursday not being a trading day). Do you have someone else who trades into Beasley next week? Maybe you can trade Dunleavy for someone cheaper since he's playing at a sub-million dollar level. Gotta admit I'm trying to figure out what the heck to do with Dunleavy myself.

I agree that Dunleavy => Beasley doesn't seem like a move that's worth two trades since Lebron to Kobe probably gains you very little marginal value for that second trade. I would start looking into G options for Dunleavy's replacement rather than force the lateral trade to accompany Dunleavy's exit.

I could go Gasol > Paul if I trade Dunleavy for Dorell Wright tomorrow. Compared to my other plan I would be getting 3 Paul games and 4 LeBrons instead of 7 Gasols, but I would use an extra trade because LeBron would go for Gasol and cap space on January 12.

My plan prolly involves selling Camby/Noah/Dunleavy for some trio.
The question is which trio.
Having huge troubles with that.
Also Dunleavy is my last GF, so giving up the only flex I had...
