Welcome Maineacs and DrD

Well, I should have known my plan for Lebron, Wade and Paul had a flaw... It called for using 5 trades this week when I only have 4. So, I started to reevaluate after I got home from work tonight. But, the kids needed attention, and I missed the start of the Heat game. I did get Camby traded to Duncan, and now I have at least 2 days to create a new tentative master plan.

Not as scary as Dorell Wright. I pretty much knew he was going to screw me because when I had him a few years ago I had to bail after a game or two. I just wanted a mega-cheapie so Gasol > Paul would definitely fit. If Wright continues to suck he won't last the week, but at least on Tuesday I should be able to trade him for any position. Sure wish CDR was healthy, bad schedule or not.

Need a little advice. I plan to go Durant to Wade on the 30th but it will be close. Today I have a 130K window. Wade plays 27th-30-31 and Durant 28th-29. It seems like if I don't lose all of it today, I should be ok. Or should I give up the Durant game? Durant gained 30K with no sells yesterday. Thanks.

I think it will hold as well. But it doesn't take a lot of managers to swing the prices these days, the net relationship is almost 1 to 1k on slow trading days.

Thanks. The formula is the problem here at the end of the week. I think I will gamble that Durant will get a few buys tomorrow with the b2b. Of course if Durant->Wade (double whammy) is the popular move today I'm probably dinked.

Or, if I miss I can trade Thompson down a little early which I probably should anyways. Typed myself into holding Durant.

Hate being the bearer of bad news but I think that window closes. I see Wade getting some buys today from Nash then being flat the next 2 days. I think Durant will get some sells on 12/29 from managers who have no other way into Paul. It will be close.

You could also use Tyreke or Ariza to free up cash somehow.

I was planning to move Evans before refresh anyways but thought it'll be after his next game. I needed to clear major cap space in order to get Paul on Tuesday so I took Juwan Howard. The choice was between him and Casspi, who I decided against due to its higher ownership and fading schedule next week. I expect Howard, as long as Portland doesn't bring in another big man, should produce steadily around 25tsnp which is all I wanted. Plus a couple more starts he will gain center eligibility. If the Evans injury news hit the wire a little earlier I'd have gotten Blair instead and of course he had a nice game. It's funny that not too long ago most people can't wait for get rid of Westbrook and now he is considered one of the primary candidates to replace Evans.

I wasn't paying attention yesterday and missed the Evans news. Got Tony Allen from him today for his G/F flex and low price. Current plan is Nash => Paul on 12/29 and Durant/Pau => Wade/D Howard on 12/30. Pau may come back via Tim Duncan on 1/1.

I don't see Duncan as a sell on 1/1. After a 2 in 5 hiccup he has a 7 in 11. Gasol has no schedule advantage in that span. At the time I bought Duncan I thought of him as a 4 week hold.

Believe it or not, this will be the first time this year I will have some trades left at refresh. I have 1.95 million in the bank and need to trade Love (5.20) and Gallinari (1.78). Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am not sure either one needs to be traded soon unless you need their spot for another player. They have been producing for their price.

I am not sure whether you want to trade down to raise more cash or upgrade. However, I do not see many that are that much better at their respective prices that are an upgrade.

I might look to trade Ariza and possibly Kobe or Gasol tomorrow. With lower RV might consider Lebron with someone to get a couple of the popular players coming into play this week such as Wade, Paul, Howard, Deron, Boozer.

I assume you're talking about trading Love after his 4 in 5. My current plan is to hold because his schedule is pretty good for three weeks after the 3 day gap and he's awesome for the price. Gallinari is one of the few good players under 2 million and I think is keepable through a down schedule. He can probably outscore anyone at the same price even with fewer games.

Dr.D, I would hold Love for a good long time. His schedule gets pretty good again after his 3 days off.

Gallinari to Dejuan Blair is an option after NY's back to back.

Whatever you do I would keep a little cash for Westbrook to Gilbert Arenas on 1/5. That is going to be a nice move.

I have a bit of problem with my team. I will be getting Wade today for sure, but not sure from Kobe, Gasol or Durant. The more I look at the Laker schedule, the more I feel the case to hold onto at least one of them through this light trade week. Kobe is fantastic lately and Gasol has provided excellent value. And I am not convinced of the Jazz duo will be a significant point and dollar gainer in the coming stretch. I might be totally wrong again but that is my gut feeling right now.

Out of the 3 above mentioned candidates I am leaning towards trading Gasol to Wade, given his higher ownership. I also have penciled the Westbrook to Arenas move next Tuesday. And I do not have any specific plans as to what happens in between. I could triangle back to Gasol from Durant on Tuesday to free up enough cash to move Westbrook to Arenas but there is currently no margin of cash error as it stands right now. Moving Kobe to Wade would leave me enough cash to move WB to Arenas straight up though. Any thoughts team? What are other Durant others planning?

Kind of want to keep Gasol too, but need a bit more cash to go WB =>Arenas on 5.
So it looks like Gasol => Boozer for me today.
Got to think about this a bit more though.

Think if it's worth a trade to you just to get 3 Durant games instead of 2 Gasol games. If you don't have a lot of other trades planned in the coming weeks maybe it is. Gasol has an awful lot of money to lose, though he may have only two big days of losses.

34 - Decided to keep Duncan for a while. I have plans for him in a couple weeks.

6 - I would like to thank my 2 daughters for demanding that I stay off the computer and play with them after work last Wednesday. They saved me from getting D Wright and Beasley who everyone seems to hate right now. I am so glad I have 2 extra trades instead. Sometimes real life interferes with this game in a good way.

I am planning Lebron to someone (probably Kobe) this week. I'm REALLY glad I didn't decide to trade him early.

Happy New Year all.

I bought Deron with the plan to move him into Arenas on 1/5. Quite simply that seems not an option at the moment.

I really want to do Deng to Rondo on 1/6 but in order to get there I need to clear 1.5 mil from somewhere before 1/6. Right now it seems going from Beasely to CDR is good on 1/5. I think Beasely will be a fine long term hold but I really don't see where else I can free up money.

So the plan is now Beasely to CDR on 1/5, Deng to Rondo on 1/6, and then Deron/Boozer to Kobe/Gasol on 1/10.

Down the line Rondo will become Nash and I need to find a way into Wallace but I'm sure something will pop up between now and then.

Beasley is a problem. Even if he wasn't playing down since people bought him, he's still not much better than some players who are much cheaper and I find myself looking to trade down from him or possibly up when cash frees up. I realize that just having an incredible long-term schedule isn't enough. I won't necessarily trade him soon, but I wish I didn't have him.

I guess you have to decide if making an extra trade where you'll figure to lose points is worth the benefit of getting Rondo compared to whoever else you could get from Deng. Could your plan work with Frye instead of CDR? You get 3 extra games.

Also, are you still planning to keep LeBron indefinitely? I'm going to try to hold him until the 12th (losing cash along the way) but at that point trading him figures to be the key to affording the players I will want.

CBG, I already have Frye so that doesn't factor in.

Beasely is a conundrum. I wouldn't buy him right now but I'm having a hard time justifying selling him with his good schedule and match ups coming.

Then again I need to free money up for upcoming moves and he is the logical choice to do so with CDR set to make some coin. I might be able to free up enough by going Deron>Nash after tomorrow but it is very close. Plus these type of moves that don't gain games can hurt, see Pau tonight.

I guess the best thing is to wait until after tomorrow and see what happens.

I don't think I'd force Rondo onto my team just for a 6 in 9. especially coming off an injury. If your team is already set up so that someone trades straight over for Rondo it may be worth it if he's supposed to be okay.

I don't know what to do with Blair. Other cheapie options around his price range aren't all that exciting. Hibbert is trying to fool us again and CDR's schedule is less than desirable, even though both are expected to get some buys from Blair owners today.

And how many are thinking of getting Arenas? Westbrook owners in particular? I'm sort of leaning towards holding Westbrook, with a pretty fantasy friendly stretch coming up after the 1 in 4.
