When you know that your Roster Value sucks you tend to do dumb things... well, I do anyway. It's my 9th or 10th season and you would think I have learned the basic rules by now (e.g. build RV in the beginning, jump trains, go mainstream, don't trade cheapies...) but I still manage to f**k it up every season. It's fun though. Most of the teams look similar. So out of necessity (aka lack of RV) I decided to make the rest of the season a bit of a "gut vs. head" decision. I have seen there has been 1 buy for Ben Wallace already. Make that 2 now. He'll probably stink it out but I kinda like his game ;-). Also, I did not pick Delfino, so guys can enjoy the 50+ games and RV gains while I sit back and kick myself.
Other popular fail picks: Keeping Davis over Bryant (or Gasol). Oh, and sticking with Hibbert. Not enough discussions about Hibbert anyway ;-).
My bet for highest total points game tonight: GSW/NOH.
Good luck all! |

Does anyone have both Lopez brothers and both Gasols? There ought to be some kind of prize for that. Or did anyone trade Robin Lopez for Brook Lopez?

Marcus Camby left Wednesday's game in the first quarter with a rib injury. He's clearly in pain on the bench, leaving his return as questionable.

sigh i was hoping beasley would last til noah's schedule started but i guess if he doesn't make a 4th quarter appearance he is gone.
Now i have to find someone to get from him and trade someone else into Noah.
Good thing atleast is that he almost got as much points in 8 minutes then what he usually produces anyway.

Beasley's injury is really untimely. Had it happened in the last game Diaw could be kept. Crap, and I have no flex and cash and very little choices out there to replace him.

what about jermaine oneal
his production has been on the uprise, he is the same price as beasley (a little bit less), literally unowned and miami's schedule is still good for ahwhile,
plus if beasley is really to miss time then that means more minutes as well

Carlos Delfino left Wednesday's game against the Sixers in the second half with an ankle sprain. We're assuming this is an aggravation of the ankle Delfino rolled on Tuesday. He had just six points, five rebounds and no 3-pointers in 24 minutes before getting hurt. It's a bad break for owners as Delfino was looking like a rock-solid pickup since cracking the starting lineup last week. Consider him day-to-day for now.

As mediocre as he is, this really is a terrible time for Beasley to get hurt: right before a rare Fri-Th 5 in 7. Unless there's definitive news that he's out I'm going to take the cap hit tomorrow and hold him until game-time Friday.
Seems like a pretty crappy night overall for everyone in spite of big games from today's big buys (Lopez, M.Gasol, Randolph). My main highlights are LeBron not going off and Carlos Delfino turning back into Carlos Delfino.

43) Planning to hold Bogut all through February. He's a perfect player to hold through a schedule lull because he's so lightly owned. Sure he's played up since I've had him, but he's flat out good. I was stunned that so few people bought him, especially when Kaveman was out.

47) Agreed, Delfino is still a great cheapie. He was really scaring me though. I had decided to bypass all cheapies, even if it cost me LeBron for awhile. The way they were going, I was afraid LeBron/Delfino would stomp my mid-pricers this week. They still might.
