Apologies to the team; life intervened and interfered with my TSN management responsibilities.

No crises or emergencies, just a busy few days that resulted in my not trading Noah (and a host of others) until today. I made wholesale changes this afternoon, but fear I'll be digging out of this hole for awhile.

Bad news - forgot to move Rondo to Kidd (crap!)

Good news - Nice little 72.5 pt present from Pau on his way to J Smith. Sweet!

Poll: Should I just hold Rondo now before the break? Or move him now for Deng, Boozer or Kidd?

Have been planning a 'secret' move.... Collison to Deron Williams today....
When I thought this up a couple day ago, I though that it might be a good idea with Collison hitting a 'blip' in the schedule and at 40% ownership....
But after last night... Damn, how can I trade this guy?

Of those three, Boozer is the only one I'd consider moving him for - and although Boozer has a better sched, I don't know that he'll outproduce Rondo.

I have Rondo, and I'm holding, although I'm also tradeless after having to move Maggette yesterday. But I hadn't been planning to move Rondo anyway.

I sold rondo for kidd with the intention of triangling back into rondo at some point maybe even tommorrow

but I just realized, for those that don't have rondo now and looking to buy in soon, wouldn't it just be a smarter move to get Nash instead of Rondo? Their price and production is the same but Nash has a 12 game to 10 game advantage to 3/4.
Not to mention the relatively low ownership %.

With everyone having some sort of combination of tyreke/collison/d will/ kidd I doubt many people will have room for both nash/rondo.

So just wondering why no talk of nash but people are trying to find ways back into rondo.

m4l,
What day you trade out depends on who you are trading into... I do not see Dalembert attracting any buying tonight, so I think you could trade out as early as TODAY for the right guy. I have been thinking hard about trading my Pistons for AK47, just have not pulled the trigger and have been regretting that when I see the price changes each night recently.

So i have 7-8 mill rotting in my bank for the past 2 weeks or so thanks to delfino and collison

I have actually been hoping for either of them to put up a pair of stinkers to justify a tradeout to a stud. I finally got it tonight with delfino and I thought yes finally able to utilize my full roster potential.

And now out of the blue comes morrow from injury dropping a pair of 50 bombs. Sigh whats a man to do. Worst thing would be to grab that stuf and ignore morrow only to have morrow outproduce just as collison has been doing to my other studs.

Way things are going teams with 60 million RV is well able to compete with the top RV teams over the past month. If only we could earn interest in TSN =P.

Not sure I understand this logic. My roster value is around 74 (nowhere near the highest, but not the lowest either) and I have no trouble spending the whole lot even with Delfino and Collison on my squad.

In fact...with Howard, Lebron and Wade...I still have another pseudo cheapie in Curry :) and a pseudo-stud in Lopez. If I had 7 million in the bank, Lopez would be Smoove and Curry would be Rondo.

If SU can find a use for the all that $ while keeping Collison and Delfino, there's no reason everyone else can't too.

Holding Delfino. As for the break, I can't recall what I did last year and maybe that's a good thing. Is it better to hold off on trades until the break is over? Only reason I could think of trading right now would be into someone that plays tonight. Dalembert is staring at me too, but I don't want to trade into someone that might end up sick, hurt or "Camby'd" over the break.

Wow Phatsow, a little harsh calling Howard sellers dumb. I sold him on all teams, no regrets.

I thought of Lebron => ???, Howard => Lebron, but there wasn't a player I wanted to buy. Already had Lee, Zach. So one extra trade, one Howard game, to bring aboard a player I didn't want, didn't make a lot of sense.

Enjoy Howard's 50+ points over the next three games, he's going to bleed all week, especially Thursday. And if you plan on holding Howard for 3 games, why wouldn't holding Lebron have been a better plan, they both play 3 games though that stretch. And Lebron plays an extra game over the next week or so.

Yeah, I know, you're getting Lebron back from another source. But there isn't any right or wrong way to go about this

**Intruder**

I can understand both sides of the Howard argument. My original plan was actually to sell him yesterday when I bought him, but in my particular situation I felt it made sense to hold regardless of any money hits. The way I see it, Howard is the #5 producer as of this date (and that's despite the slow start) and his schedule is great for a long time. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, but I'm considering holding him through the week. I felt that was actually another reason to hold - things are very up in the air due to the trade deadline and various nagging injuries, so a lot of us don't necessarily know what we're doing yet I'm sure. It would suck to make a move from Howard into someone I'm not 100% sure I'll want on my roster as opposed to someone else in a few days, when Howard's schedule is in fact great.

On the other side of the coin, moving him for Boozer or M. Gasol yesterday could have netted 3 games over Howard. Seems like a valid move.
I personally just don't trust them nearly as much and am tired of both having guys underperform and playing trade-strapped so I opted to hold. Didn't see any triangles out there that would make it worth taking on one of those guys at the expense of Howard / the person in the other slot.

If it were November / December, he would have been gone (and I still think money's important).

SU/Dave R

Okay, harshness was there, sorry, but I still didn't see that as even a break-even move for these reasons.

1. If you want me to trade a player a week before I want him back, I need at minimum a two-game advantage of an equivalent player. You have to have a player who produces near the tradee or you lose the production impact of the game advantage. Zach, Boozer, and Gasol do not fit this description (maybe David Lee but I'm not sure alotta people went there).

2. Howard's bleeding doesn't mean anything to me because I'm not going to sell him. His price three weeks from now will determine if I lost or made cash on him.

3. I sold LeBron because I didn't have to miss any games of him. Everyone who sold Howard had to miss at least 3. (Of course him going nuts Wed. would add fuel to the "I told you so" fire, but that's just fortune and not the thrust of my argument).

4. The LeBron triangle made sense to me because I got to keep my B2B guy (Lee) going forward and then get back into LeBron from an expiring schedule (Lopez or Wade, take your pick) whereas Howard's sched is NOT expiring, there's just a blip, hence he didn't need to be traded. LeBron didn't need to be traded either, but I did get get a two-game advantage for one extra trade. That's the kinda stuff I look for.

Peace

Couldn't have said it better. I think individually there were cases to be made for selling Howard, but the widespread universal move that happened didn't make sense. I would have put money on Lebron being the #1 loser by far.

Hey SU, I'm just going to address you here since our GMD thread has been buried

I'm thinking of trading Lopez > Rondo for his B2B then into Durant. I know its only a 2 day hold but I feel like Lopez will lose huge today and tommorrow. Do you think it would be worth a trade for 2 rondo games vs. 1 Lopez game and a money swing of around 200k (Lopez losses + Rondo gains over next 2 days) or possibly more.

Matic, I'm gonna do that exact same move. The good thing is Rondo is also holdable long-term if someone else gets hurt. I expect the money difference to be 400K plus over the next two days. Also, everyone in the top 100 will own Rondo for these two games, safety in numbers.

yea I think im going to go ahead with the B2B move ...yea i know what you mean about adding him and then perhaps figure another way into durant and holding rondo would be most optimal...I just don't see anyone else on my roster that could go, most likely candidates would be Bogut/Kidd but both have great schedules still

I normally don't trade in for just 2 games but its mainly because I'm competing with another team for top spot in my division and its close pointwise/RV so I'm trying to make moves to stay ahead in RV.
