Rondo is trying to close the Westbrook gap for those holders of Rondo rather than Westbrook |

No posts on this action thread just supports the fact that the sequel is never as good :)
James and Rondo both over 40 with 8 minutes to go. James should get 60 and Rondo 50 with no problem.
I always find it odd how few players on Clev have a decent TSNP night(30+) each night while James goes for 50-60 and they win. It just seems like it is James and then 1 other guy over 30 and that is it.

James is Jordan on steroids but without Pippen, and thats why he will never do what Jordan did while with the Cavs.
If James happens to win a championship this year I think it will be more due to the lack of real competition when compared to the teams Jordan faced in the 90s.
About Rondo closing the gap...He is playing amazing now but i really doubt the gap with points will close enough to warrant saving the trade. And on top of that don't forget about the over One million $$ RV swing!

I humble disagree Matic,
They won for the first time in 10 games AT Boston and they won by 20!
Cleveland has put together a very nice bunch of complimentary players to James.... Very similar to what Chicago put around Jordan. I find it very interesting that Shaq played 12 minutes tonight! Shaq understands at this stage in his career he is in Cleveland for one reason! To do battle with the man that eliminated them from the playoffs last year -- Dwight Howard. And he has recently done that both ON and OFF the court with the media.
Jamison is an interesting piece. Will have to see how his fit develops. This is a guy who WON an NCAA title at North Carolina and has accomplished everything as a professional basketball player ACCEPT win an NBA title. You can read/interpret some of his comments different ways. I think that Cleveland has interpreted his comments about possible retiring in two years, as a sign of frustration with losing in the NBA his entire career. I hear a huger there! That is why I think they have said they preferred him to Amare in there trade targets.
Ilgauskas coming back... href="http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Aq0cS9WCUC2K P0iAoo.SZYo4PKB4?slug=ap-wizards- ilgauskas&prov=ap&type=lgns" target="_blank">Lebron want Ilgauskas back.
Chicago had similar pieces in Cartwright, Rodman, Harper, etc... we will see how it plays out.

still though i don't see any of the players Cleveland has being close to the equivalent of jordan's pippen...remember pippen was a guy who averaged stud numbers while also playing alongside the most dominant player in the game, as well as being a great defensive asset as well.
The best teams in nba history are powered by twos! Jordan Pippen/ Bird Mchale/ Kobe shaq / Kobe Gasol / Magic Kareem
all the teams that won the championship in the last 30 years have featured that
what would u say Lebron / Varejao , or Lebron / grandpa Shaq lol
exceptions would be 03 Pistons/ Spurs/ 07 Celtics but they all had consistent three pronged offensive force which Cleveland does not have.
I mean im all for seeing Cleveland win a championship because I hate Kobe, and Lebron deserves one for the type of production he gives us fantasy players, but if he does so he will have won the championship with the worst supporting cast in history IMO. I guess if there were any guy that could do that it would be him, but I still think in order for CLE to win it would require that the opposing team make mistakes or get injured etc. I still think that come playoff time that the team with the better bench/starting unit will come out on top of CLE.

Lebron's #2 is Mo Williams.... agree that compared to the others he is a weak #2.... but Varajo/Grandpa Shaq/Jamison.... He has a supporting cast that is very interesting/intriguing and HUNGRY... Moon and Parker could have gone elsewhere for more money/opportunity.... Hickson/Gibson/Powe (even (Ilgauskas?) these guys have have vision to understand they have roles to play... just like the cast that surrounded Jordan IMHO... I think your comparison to Jordan is both similar and accurate.

on topic of duo's what you think is the best duo to never win a championship, and or will never win a championship
my vote is Malone/Stockton
for this generation I say Nash/ Amare
with boozer/Deron as runner up although Deron is still young and a championship in the future may be possible, but I think Durant/Westbrook is the true team of the future.

Malone/Stockton will be tough to beat! Amare/Nash have not been together for there careers... Nash came during his 2nd half and Amare will be gone after his FIRST half next year... Westbrook/Durant could use a Shaq!

haha ...hmm Nash/Amare is the best I can think of this generation that has been a dissapointment especially for someone that has had b2b mvps, and they have been together for a decent amount of years along with Marion while he WAS a stud.
Only other I could think of is Yao/McGrady if you can count them as a duo too bad they spent most of their duo in wheelchairs next to each other.
Oh and scratch Durant/Westbrook i vote B Lopez/ John Wall ! lol Devin Harris is a goner!

Come on ....another 70 game for curry? that puts his 15 game average at about 50 and good for fourth best in the league. surprised to see only 5 GMD teams have him, and not any of the top teams.
