Subject: Assimilator glitch

If you have been using the Hoops Assimilator, you probably noticed that all or your stored rosters were missing this morning.
Essentially, I had my own little Y2K glitch in 2010.
When I first wrote the Assimilator code back in the late 1990s, I set the expiration date for stored roster cookies to be March 1, 2010. Unfortunately, as the years have passed, the Assimilator continues in use (amazing), but I never remembered to extend that expiration date. So as of this morning, computers across the globe dutifully deleted all Assimilator roster cookies.
I did update the code this morning, so the problem won't recur (until 2090, at least), but there is no way to directly retrieve those cookies. You'll just need to copy in your rosters from the TSN game once again. Fortunately, that's not a major ordeal, although I know it's an inconvenience.
If you have the Assimilator set up on multiple computers, you can save a little bit of work by reloading all of your rosters on one machine, save them, and then click the "Export rosters" button. Copy the text string that pops up, and paste it into a file that you can transfer (via flash drive, email, etc.) to your other computer(s). Open the Assimilator on another computer, click the "Import roster cookies" button, and paste that text string. That should set up all of the rosters - although you will still need to save them all on the second computer, one by one, or else they'll disappear when you close your Assimilator session.
