0 Subject: 3/2 No Action Thread On Such a Monumental Day?

This is the day Darren Collison became a differentiator. It seems that most of the top teams sold but several people besides me kept or at least didn't trade him for Curry. Well, I did sell him on one team, stealing Durant > Rondo, Collison > Curry from Matic, who mentioned it as something he wouldn't do.

Curry so-so after 3 quarters, outpointed by twolves guy, C.J. Watson (didn't even think to look him up until too late but he's been tearing it up lately).

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how the Collison situation plays out. He'll be a huge loser today but if you kept him today there's no reason to trade him until Paul comes back (of course illogically trading late out of players never stopped people before). Paul's alleged return date has already been pushed back to 3/14 and sounds highly speculative to me. I'd love it if Paul came back a little bit later.

Odd note: Curry reaches a sell point before Paul even comes back.

I'm in the "Kept Collison and Howard" fan club. I hope I can break even in RV tonight.

Can't see trading Howard just because of two awful games. The guy's still a superstar who can be held until 3/19 when he trades beautifully into (a presumably healthy by then) Bosh.

I didn't own Howard on my best team all year until Sunday:)

I pulled the boner of the year and forgot to trade Kidd to Rondo tonight thinking about Collison.

I did trade for CJ Watson as CBG indicated. He has been doing pretty well lately and wanted to rasie a bit of cash for future trade which looks like the money I just lost forgetting to trade Kidd today.

Westy hasn't done much in the 4th. Rondo with a sub-par game (below 40).

twolves, I was too busy admiring your C.J. Watson pick-up to notice you didn't have Rondo. You'll still finish in the Top 10 managers in spite of your oversight.

I just watched "Jeopardy" and a woman had the right answer for Final Jeopardy but lost because she didn't write it out completely. That's MUCH worse than losing a Rondo game and 200-300K.

well curry had an average game, not one of his out of this world 60 or 70s but not terrible either, if anything I'd call it subpar given the only 2 he is competing for points and assists with is a 500k cj watson and anthony morrow....the c paul situation chanegd from 12th to 14th which atleast gives us holders another game. The problem is it doesnt give us the 4 in 5. Hopefully the injury goes a little bit deeper and we see collison get buy backs. Collison being targeted for buy back for his GSW will be huge for us holders since if we can make even half the money back he will surely lose in the next 4 days it will warrant the save of a trade or 2.

I also hope dwight can learn to keep his hands for to himself for tommorrow's GSW game. If his game had been against anyone else I might have given thought into trading him tonight. Regardless to how the curry/collison comparison goes, for my teams its more about how the 2 Durant and 2 Deron(next week) would have compared ot the upcoming 4 kidd. And short of Kidd playing the best old man basketball (which he surprisingly has done when i held him) I still think I made the right decision.

When I saw the title, I thought for sure that there was going to be a mention that today is the 48-year anniversary of Wilt's 100 point game. Silly me. LOL

Matic, for me I thought the trade I "stole" from you worked because suddenly freeing money to go Collison > Curry seemed more attractive than my previous plan of freeing money this week to go Randolph > Howard. I also think I may be saving a trade because Howard has to be sold on 3/19, but Curry, though I know he will be sold Tuesday, can be kept the rest of the year IMHO.

Every team is different---your plan is probably the best for you.

Wow, Collison lost "only" 130K and was sold by less than 10% of his owners. He apparently was sold mainly by the elite micro-managers who use this board. The fact that so many people still have him could mean he'll suffer the dreaded long, slow bleed though.

cbg u forget also that collison's sell points next week 3/4 and 3/6 are also off trading days so GASP!
Oh well whats done is done let us just hope for collison to throwdown some 50s and for Paul to trip on the waterboy bucket.

I also like one the joker that decided to sell Rondo today.

and yes if I had your team I too would probably have done what you did, while I wouldn't trade Howard at this point I also wouldn't buy into him from a decent producing player that still has a over a week of good schedule left, I'm sure you made a nice chunk of change on that team tonight!

I honestly think that there may be a person or two out there trying to make their RV as low as possible on purpose. I notice that frequently the obvious big sell guy will have one person buy him. I've read about low RV competitions before, I think maybe from RSF.

A lot of us don't remember the date Wilt scored 100 points because we were very young at the time (as in not born). And I'm not particularly young!

actually under further analysis I don't think collison will be getting buy backs

its because I assume everyone has Evans and Rondo
and im sure you all are saving a guard slot for Deron next week.
And everyone who had sold collison probably got curry which will I doubt they would sell laterally to a game which they play each other (idk maybe they would).
Only buyback that makes sense I can see is going westbrook > collison 3/8. Or giving up tyreke's last b2b which isn't a good trade IMO.

So looks like we have to look for alternatives M4L. One good thing is that NO and OKC play together so can package collison with durant or westy for upgrades. Or if he does really go the B Jennings bleed route, I'm also giving serious consideration to George Hill, he has been logging good minutes and starting now as well.

I've got 4.5 mil in the bank to upgrade Collison, but I'm gonna wait until his sched dies before I use it. I'm also trying to bank trades so I can enjoy the final couple weeks of the season instead of dying on the vine like I did last season.
