I am going to making a donation to Guru as soon as my tax return hits (as we all plan to, right?!) So in the spirit of this, I am also going to donate $10 in the name of the winner of this contest which I am just kind of creating off the top of my head.

2010 NCAA Pick-6 Upset Contest, FREE to play
Please pick 6 upsets you think will happen in this years tourney in the 1st round. If your upset hits, you get the number of points equal to their seed (#12 wins, you get 12 points). Total them up, most points wins.

I don't see any Canadian teams. This is prejudiced.

#11 Old Dominion over Notre Dame
#11 Minnesota over Xavier
#13 Murray State over Vanderbilt
#13 Sienna over Purdue
#12 Utah St over Texas A&M
#11 San Diego State over Tennessee

And not part of my 6 pack, but you heard it here first: Vermont becomes the first 16 seed to win a game. (If they don't win, this game will be very very close)

I'm thinking the event of a tie after the first round, we can have those tied pick 3 2nd round upsets.

re:5 No worries about there being a tie GO. Only Bond can match me for points so far, and I can already see one of his that is going to be wrong.

Dude...a bottle of good maple syrup is at least $14. And our dollar is pretty close to yours.

So...the bet shall be:

$5 Canadian
Bottle of Maple Syrup

Against

$5 American
2 Authentic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches.

2 for 2 with Murray State winning at the buzzer. Unfortunately almost everyone has Murray State.

Unless Pine Bluff fails to knock off those cream puffs called Duke, I think Jeff G has this wrapped up.

Yeah, but c'mon, other than ice cream, what good has ever come out of Vermont? ;)

h, but c'mon, other than ice cream, what good has ever come out of Vermont? ;)

Well, besides Ben and Jerry's they did give us Phish. Which of course led to Phish Food by Ben and Jerry's.

Maple Syrup?
2006 Vermont win over Syracuse?

Congrats to JeffG! A donation will be made in your name
sometime in the near future.

Also.... barilko finished DEAD LAST in this contest and I think
that requires him to donate too based on the "Failure to
backup smacktalk" and other various embarrassment
clauses that I don't have time to write out.

The highlight for this for me was the fact that Zen cost himself a chance to win cause he hates Duke so much and threw away a pick.

Duke fans must laugh at the silly Maryland fans while they worry about their real rivals UNC. Its like a Orioles fan intensely hating the Yankees.

We're not their rivals, just their nemesis.

It's not fun winning unless Duke is losing...

Here's a fun fact I heard last night on ESPN radio:

There were over 4.7 million brackets filled out on ESPN. No one has all 16 teams and only 4 have 15 remaining. What a train-wreck!
