i have zero players tonight. i also don't have blatche ;-). but i have delfino instead (epic fail). and jefferson (same fail).

so looking back - the season is almost over - let's have the worst/best move discussion again.

my worst move: getting tmac (don't ask).

best move: playing with a sh*t RV and still being half decent ;-)

Worst moves: I have a feeling I still have one of my patented "less than three-weeks-left bad move meltdown" moves coming, but so far it would have to be either:

- The infamous night of Wade and the Clippers. Pretty much botched that sequence spectacularly and it caused a chain reaction that left me tradeless each week until the ASB. Missing the Baron Davis 3D for no reason was the icing on the cake. I think that might have been the most difficult night for all of us in all the years we've been playing this between Wade's status; Camby being ruled in and out and in and out and then putting up 18.5 in the first quarter before leaving; Kaman's surprise DNP; and something else too possibly.

- I was one of possibly two people who not only took Howard over Bosh at the beginning but then refused to buy Bosh despite his output.
- Convincing myself that Durant was going to lose a million over the course of a week and Paul was going to gain a million, pulling the trigger on Durant to Paul despite the 2 game advantage Durant had, and then seeing Paul put up a 20 and get injured. Horrendous.
- Getting caught in the cheapie shuffle by trying to avoid it. Bought "safe guys" like Speights and CDR early, only to see them instantly lose their spots in the rotation. Ended up in a nightmare sequence that saw a return from Corey Brewer, Courtney Lee, Frye at his worst (sold him right before his big game too), Blair at his worst, being forced into CDR again, etc. It didn't stop until Delfino.
- Tyreke over Westbrook. Or maybe that was just horrendous luck. Basically any time I took Tyreke, including draft night.
- Ariza over Westbrook. The suspension was another factor that set off that tradeless stretch.
- Selling Lee the other day. Ugh.

Best moves:

- Westbrook over Deng. If I had bought Deng, my season would have flat out been over.
- Lee over Dirk at the ASB.
- Delfino over Barnes. Barnes was the guy I wanted but I was short on money, but I like pretending that wasn't the case.
- Buying Bogut at the very beginning of the Milwaukee schedule and holding him seemingly forever, even though the day after I bought him I thought he might end up being a two day hold.
- Buying Nash at the very beginning and holding him for months. There were many luxury moves with Nash that I could have made, and if I had bitten on any of them my season would have once again been over.

Scola & Kidd tonight for me. Almost went for Rose but I've had enough bad luck over the past 2 weeks to fill my time.

I bought Wade and LeBron the same slow Thursday night a couple months ago, together they scored 120 points, but I also sold CDR and forgot to buy someone else, so I went invalid that night. I'm just under 300 points behind in that league and gaining, and can't help but feel that those 120 points are going to haunt me.

I'm first in 2 of my 3 leagues...37th and 52nd overall.
My third team?
176th...I went invalid twice!!!!
Never did that once before

With the Heat up by 30 at the half, I hope Wade's night is done.

Hey SU, wasn't there a Tyrus Thomas trade in there somewhere too?

No shortage of screw-ups myself, but I think the worst thing I did was start with identical teams. I really believe in starting with different lineups right from the start because one of my teams almost always goes off in a better direction than the others almost immediately. I broke up my teams within a few weeks (oddly what started to make one team my best was holding Julian Wright for one more lousy game but making a better trade from him). My second choice of a lineup would have had Westbrook, Billups and Lopez instead of Tyreke, Roy and Lee. Doesn't sound like much and I still think what I started with was reasonable, but one of my teams would have avoided Tyreke's terrible first week and possibly Roy's awful first month completely.

All of these terrible moves are now flooding into my mind. Holding Corey Brewer through all his money losses because I figured I'd just want him back (never did) and eventually trading him for Larry Hughes, who was obviously Fool's Gold. That caused me to be out of trades so I had to go Roy > Dirk after the refresh, costing me a Tuesday Dirk game. Getting Dunleavy after he had made all of his money and was already starting to slip instead of Casspi because I thought I needed flex. Compounding that by trading Dunleavy for Dorell Wright. Being LeBron-less for a few weeks (though I never figured out how to fit him in on my particular budget). I want to stop thinking of these. My head is starting to hurt. I really try to forget these things. Somehow most people have done worse.

Oh yeah, Dorell Wright then went for Q-Rich, which made me swear off cheapies entirely shortly before Delfino and Collison emerged. I really need to get my mind back on the present.

Oh yeah, I can say some good ones too. Starting with Bosh and watching the cash and points roll in, getting Bogut at the beginning (I really thought he had a clear buy-in day and almost everyone bypassed him). Trading injured Tyreke for a great stretch of Westbrook, then getting Tyreke back as soon as I could for 56.5 TSNP that almost no one else got.

Oh shoot, I just remembered that I bought Noah in spite of the injury concerns. Better not to look back at all.

Holding Wade that fateful Wednesday when he was questionable and had a late game was huge. He went for over 60 his next 2 games.

Haha, there definitely was a Tyrus trade, I completely forgot. I'm afraid to look at my team history in a race this close. I've thrown away a ridiculous number of points this year.

Oh and Dunleavy, ugh. I think selling him was the point where I had enough and decided to "go safe" with Speights. Buying a player with a name bigger than his performance at the start of a trading week 5 in 7 is now called "Dunleavying".

The good would be starting the year with Bosh. Holding Frye and CDR for super long stretches allowed trades to be used more aggressively in other areas. I remember getting Rondo's 3D when virtually nobody had him. Getting Kidd for his last stretch was good too.

The bad, nothing stands out more than getting Dirk over Lee right before the break. That cost at least 100 points and then had to use at least 1 trade to get to Lee anyways. Delonte West for a 1 game hold was awful. Skipping Bogut altogether because I kept thinking he would come back to earth. Moving Collison to Curry was bad in hindsight but I still think it was the right move at the time.

My biggest screw up was not having D Willy the past week and a half. When he was listed with 2-3 injuries, I bailed on him and I've regretted it ever since.
