10 out of 10 for me tonight. would have almost been only 9 out of 10 but thanks to pica's injury note on bogut i had time to sell him and get odom. so, take this as a warning too. don't odom now. get amare instead (i was deciding between those two, so since i took odom he will suck now...)
enjoy the games! |

This is really tough. This is where it pays to have a bunch of extra trades.

#4 - Between those two I'd go with Amare, though I guess it's too late now, sorry about that. I've been frantically trying to figure out what to do.
I still don't know what I'm doing with Bogut on one team. I kind of see the move I want to make, but following the rotations it's pretty obvious a money swing is going to close in a few days, so maybe I should just scratch it rather than beating myself up over it.
Reeb, did you decide yet?

It's awfully late in the season to notice this, but I don't think you're stuck with a player you buy once the next game starts anymore. I never risk going invaild in case computer problems/brain freeze occur, so in a trade like Bogut > Amare I always buy my new player way before game time. Just now I thought I'd experiment and see what happened if I traded Amare for another player and TSN did not charge me with a new trade (I then bought Amare back).

I have a feeling that I'm going to be terrified of your pick. (I am also assuming you did not purchase Channing Frye.)
Two minutes until results...

I got Lee. I'm hoping you got Amare because I absolutely hate him and can root against him.

Well that sucks. I just don't have the trades to get Amare and back out of him. Great move as usual.

Haha, I went with Lee too. I think the two of us at this point are always going to go with Lee. We've learned our painful lessons on both sides of the equation.

It was a really tough decision, everything was projecting so similarly. But as good as Amare has been, Lee has basically become #2 to Lebron and I can't shake the memory of that day last year where I skipped Amare to wait for more information and he ended up going negative. We'll naturally both get to watch him dominate tonight after Lee's knee explodes in the first quarter.

SU, it was a real tough decision. I agree on Lee being right there with everyone besides Lebron. Lee is just rock solid while Amare, though he's been good lately, always seems to disappear for stretches of games. Ole, for me Lee was coming aboard no matter what. Amare is someone who has a bunch of games short term but can't really be held past 4/4 thus requiring another trade. I don't have that luxury or any faith that Amare will score more than Lee even wth more games.

This is sort of an over-simplification (I'll spare you the description of my insanity projections for my specific situation) but even though Amare gets +2 games over Lee, everyone's pretty much going to want Lee back no later than this upcoming Monday night.
So while it is true that Amare gets an extra two games over Lee, the direct Amare vs. Lee comparison over that time frame is sort of invalid in the first place. I'm probably not explaining it too well, my mind is kind of shot right now.
That's not to say Amare wasn't the right move for a lot of teams though, he probably was (and might have been for mine, we'll see I guess). Especially at this point in the season it comes down to specific situations.
Or maybe it could all be explained with "I've become terrified of not owning Lee to a fault."

For me it's really a trade for 6 Amares for 3 Boozers and 1 Lee though now that I look at it I would be selling Boozer before games against NY and GS.

I hope the Nets are playing for win #10 on the last day of the season so they'd be going all out and their players would be good buys, but I always thought they had too much talent to get the record.

Lee's supposed to outpoint Amare. Amare owners were going for more games, not better ones, so getting outscored by 7 is okay with me. What made Lee look like a good buy tonight is that he got to play in garbage time. Late in the season can really favor players on bad teams who aren't being saved for anything.
