Just bought Troy Murphy (I could have had any player and that's who I chose) so you can assume he will be a late scratch.

Buying Kobe was stupid to begin with. I had an itchy trigger finger with Ginobili, I watch most Laker games so I wanted to be able to root extra hard for Kobe and he was in the Yahoo lineup 5 minutes before the game so I wanted to enjoy watching him play. But holding Ginobili and trading him for Rose on Sunday would have been far safer (and saner). If there's a salary cap game in the future I'm going to take the possibility of player shutdowns SERIOUSLY AS HELL. Since the league obviously doesn't care if superstars play in late season games (and I think they used to) this is only going to get worse in future years.

Troy Murphy is playing, hurray! Not much need for him to play well or anything: it wound up costing me two trades just to have him instead of Ginobili.

A few years ago I had my choice of any player regardless of cost the last week and I went with Tyronn Lue, who was on a hot streak and was on the only team with either a 3 in 4 or a 4 in 5. The results were predictable.

Not having access at work sucks. Didn't want to trade Lebron during lunch at home because I thought he might play. I'll settle for 2nd place in my league I guess...ugh

3D for Terrence Williams. Possible good early season buy if there's a game and we're still sane. At least I haven't ruined my D & T team with stupid moves.

CBG,

At least you have Gasol who I watched destroy the twolves tonight. He was impressive.

I could not pull the trigger and buy him this week since Lakers were prety well set in the West.

Interesting choice of Murphy. I have looked at Murphy and his sidekick Ganger who have not had much play this year in ultimate.

MFL, Kobe went for Murphy. The only thing that keeps getting Kobe from being the worst trade I've ever made is that it's so late in the season that losing two trades for nothing won't come back and hurt me week after week. Stupid, stupid trade---Kobe hadn't been playing any better than Ginobili lately. Largely an impulse buy just because I was going to watch Kobe's expected game. I deserved to have it not work out, though not to this level.

Murphy was my choice because he's 10th in TSNP/game over the last month and the only players ahead of him I didn't have were Wade and Howard. After this Kobe uber-fiasco I don't want anybody with a chance of reduced playing time or a DNP. Wade is always beaten up and the Heat's status can't change much. The Magic are trying to have a better record than the Lakers but that could be resolved before the end of the season. So could the Suns' playoff seeding, which is why I went for Murphy over Amare. Players on non-playoff teams definitely seem the safest to me.
