The RIHC summary page is now available, and will be updated daily.

Split standings capabilities are not yet functioning for the current season. Those should be ready shortly.

I'm really regretting drafting Robin Lopez in round 9 and passing on Michael Beasley. I know that Beasley was sticking out on my list at the time - but for some reason I thought Lopez was a better fit. And I didn't trust Beasley.

Oops.

I'm really regretting a lot people I passed on at the last minute. What a difference it would have made.

There are certainly a few people I regret passing up on and I wish I'd passed on Baron Davis. But it's a long season and the waiver wire seems less bare this year than in some previous years.

My team was firmly entrenched in last place with 18.5 total points two weeks ago today, which is really pathetic since you can't have less than 9 points. It looks a lot better now.

Was disappointed to see Jarrett Jack traded to New Orleans, where PT will almost certainly reduce. At least I have Paul,... so now I have his backup, if he goes down...

Was right on the verge of cutting Calderon a few times last week, but never quite pulled the trigger.

Yeah I went to look for Calderon immediately and thought, man someone should have cut him already!

That's the closest I've ever come to beating jasonprof at a breaking-news or spectacular game pickup. Missed it by only 13 minutes.

As Maxwell Smart would say. "Missed it by *that* much".

Some of you are ridiculous with your quick timing pickups. Do you have your computers tethered to you? By the time I get home every night and check boxscores, I've missed the boat on any players to grab. I mean, people have over 20 transactions more than I do already...you realize you don't win by getting the most right? :)

Of course, trades made is a good number to shoot for winning, so who's up for some swapping? I've got a few deals out there, so hit me up if you see where you can improve both our teams.

Don't you get bonus points for making moves?

A lot of my moves are just a reflection of my impatience. In the last week I traded Ilyasova for Mills, then Mills for Robinson then Robinson back to Ilyasova. Those three moves didn't accomplish anything, but at least it felt like I was doing something.

I've received several offers in the past day for Chris Paul, no doubt spurred by my surplus of steals, which should allow me to trade away Paul's prodigious contribution to that cat.

The idea has some merit, and the trades proposed thus far are under consideration.

I figured I'd just throw this comment out there while considering the offers already on the table, just in case anyone else would like to take a shot at Paul.

I am having a little difficulty comprehending the trade beyween the #3 team- Skinjeel and the #10 team Goldnet. As I see it The #3 team gets
3.5 more RB's, 1 assist, 1.5 steals, 2 blocks, 18 PPG 7% better shopting % (53% to 47%) all to pick up 13% free throw percentage on 8 fewer tries per game.
To me this would be ok if the #10 were ripping off the #3 but doesn't quite seem as fair when the better team which is still in contention is besting a bottom dweller??
I am not going to formally protest since I feel two consneting adults can pretty much do what they want but I would appreciate a non statistical justification from either of the parties involved. Thanks.

Sounds like someone traded Dwight Howard. Just an outsiders guess.

I glad I'm not the only person wondering about the recent trade. I'm not formally protesting I just want to understand the logic behind the trade. The only category Goldnets seems to pick up any advantage is in FT% and even with this trade Goldnets will almost certainly finish last in that category. I understand why Skinnee J wants to do the trade, but not why Goldnets would want to.

Just an addendum to my previous post. I have no plans to protest the trade between Skinnee J and Goldnets regardless of whether they are willing to offer up public rationales for their trade. If Goldnets does not want to offer up a rationale that is OK. It's great that there have been a bunch of trades in the RIHC this year (unlike in some previous years).

The only reason I considered the proposal is because there’s only 16-18 games remaining for each player when the trade is effective. I have never owned Howard, and have never considered a trade for him because of what he does to your FT%. But, with just 20% of the season left, I decided to take a chance and accepted the offer.

My first reaction was no, I don’t want Howard, but I had to dig deep and look at all the stats and consider my current spot in each category. I am guaranteed to lose at least 2 spots in FT% which is a category I have led pretty much the entire season. If he shoots worse, there’s a chance I could lose even more which would make this trade a huge loss for my season. But, I could gain 3-4 spots in FG% and blocks, so it’s a gamble on my part that I hope is rewarded.

Considering the 3 “stars” here, you’re looking at #3 ranked player traded for #12 and #49 for season avgs. That is not out of the ordinary. Then you throw in Lawson who two weeks since trade is now a viable fantasy player at 12 ppg, 7 apg, 1.7 spg which is good enough for #49 over that stretch. Even in his time-share with Felton, he is getting 30+ mpg and this is a reasonable line for him the rest of the way.  It’s certainly a fair trade considering those 4 players, so have to look at what the two throw in players were.

To round it out, Diaw and Randolph were thrown in for positional eligibility and gambles. Out of this trade, I needed to gain a F eligible player, and trade away a G due to crowding. Diaw had stunk it up for two weeks (before last night) but I reasoned losing Lawson would gain me a F eligible player that still can get assists if I need them. Randolph is a flyer obviously, but is good for the occasional breakout game in Minny but stinkers too. For my part, Diaw would initially ride my bench and would only be of use due to an injury.

Lastly, I had to consider players like Pierce whose team is a few games out in front in the East. If Boston keeps winning, then they are likely to rest starters at the end. 14-15 quality games out of PP is what I am expecting, but quality over quantity helps me at this point since I am a few games up in games played. And, there’s a chance I lose more D. Howard games with his technical situation too. All in all, I have no chance to make #1, but I’d like to move up and solidify #2 spot especially knowing Guru’s prowess for late season runs!

Thanks skineej I can see why you are doing it and it does seem like a good gamble for you- and not as big a boon as I had originally thought due to the fairly certain FT loss. Not sure what Goldnet gets to make uo for 6 category losses or if it still matters to him though.

If anybody wants Bogut's 2.7 Blocks/Game, or Kaman's 1.2 Blocks/Game, I don't need them. At least, I don't need any blocks.........anymore. Trade deadline 3/17.

I'd be willing to trade Steve Nash if anyone is interested. I doubt I'm going to move up or down in the assists standings, so it would mainly be his peripheral stats I'd be missing (FT%, FG%, etc.) if I traded him.

Sorry to be so late in responding. In looking at my situation I could see that I was not going to win, and was unlikely to improve much with my current team. I considered Love better than Howard esp with the ft% liability. However these two were not the key to the trade for me. Lawson looked to be taking the reins at Denver and I anticipated Pierce would be seeing fewer minutes as Rivers prepared his team for the playoffs so that was at least a push if not a gain for me. I also realized I needed to make a bit of a "splash" to ease up to sixth place. Hence the inclusion of Randolph and Diaw. A gamble to be sure; but to my way of thinking Diaw was too hot and cold to offer any consistency so if Randolph was able to get the opportunity and produce I might just see some progress in the few categories I can make up ground in. at present I am about 6 points out of 6th, and yes I do hope to move out of the cellar in FT%. A point is a point! and I need all I can get. Would I have done this early in the season? No; but I had to try to make some changes to get better. :)

RIHC better be ready for Great One in 2011-12! :)

And Mike D (you'll be proud) I won AA without a single player I originally drafted... I must have thought I was in The Chamber.
