The league has been activated at Yahoo. All players are on your bench, starting on Dec 24. Be sure to setup your active lineup on Dec 25.

All undrafted players are on waivers, which will clear on Sunday. Waiver priorities are the same as the draft sequence for even numbered rounds.

If you drafted players who are eligible to open the season in an injury slot, you may add a player via waivers (or free agency). I'll set up an injury slot thread shortly. Any player who is designated for an injury slot must be on your bench, and his injury status must be documented in the injury thread. If you do not have any injury slot players, then you should have two vacant bench slots.

The league summary page is set up:
http://rotoguru1.com/hoop/RIHC.html
(Actually, it's been there since opening day.)

You can also get there using the league icon on the blurb page.

As far as I know, it's all working. The split standings page is probably the most useful feature, as it allows you to see stats or standings calculated over a specific range of dates, or converted to a per-game basis. For example, here are the current standings using per-game stats:

Sanforders defying logic with major injuries to Ginobili and Brook and still standing tall in 1st place... meanwhile, I start as I do in every freaking league. Dead last. And every year I wonder... is it that I'm a horrible drafter? Why does it happen so consistently?

It's because you stay low on games played early. The when you do load up on games it propels you just enough to finish right behind me.

My last two picks of the draft I did kind of as a joke in a Duke-UNC guys in Gerald and Psycho-T... and they are far outperforming my mid round choices of Crawford, Odom and Batum. I expect they'll come around, but its still pretty funny.

Yes, your picks always stink, but you are a trading wiz. ;-)

Thanks Mike aka The King of Trading...
I think my strength lies more in my ability to add free agents and buy low on guys and then reshuffling them in trades to fill holes.
Like I'm dying for 3's but I unearth a guy who blocks shots... I add him and then work a deal to someone who needs blocks for some or their extra 3's.

which reminds me... I seem to be heavy on shooters and guards, so I'd look at moving someone like Rubio or S-Jax or Billups for a PF/C type.
Need some rebounds/blocks.

Its really tough not having same day transactions when you have so many day to day players and game time decisions.

We should really consider same day in the future. The only drawback is you can't drop an active guy in your lineup after his game starts til the next morning. You can add anyone you want, you can drop anyone who isn't playing or is on your bench. And especially in NBA where many guys don't play everyday the complaint about a few guys being frozen isn't much the pain in the butt like baseball where everyone plays everyday.

And ESPN is slightly better, but after the first game it "flips the calendar" to the next day, so you can drop anybody anytime you want which is good... but I can't jump on a Nuggets player suddenly getting a spot start in a 10 PM game cause its "the next day".

It depends when you check your team. I do so late at night and not being able to drop a player in your lineup if he were to play that day would be pretty annoying. Being able to pick up a guy at the last second for a spot start would not matter to me (as I don't check then) and the change would only be negative. But that's just me.

Well its not just last second spot starts of course, its all day long leading up til 7 PM tip. I read in the morning that a guy is out that night and I can't use that information to someone to help immediately.

But I can see how a guy being frozen and you only having a certain window to make moves wouldn't work well. I personally think there should be a way to drop a guy who is frozen and it would just be effective on delay of a day. And everyone else could be used immediately. They have the ability to distinguish those eligible to be dropped and those frozen for the evening, so why can't they just change the result of what being frozen means?

I can't check at night generally, so it sucks for me that I don't get "last second" aka late night before the deadline injury news where I might be able to counter a guy being scratched. I'm always in the morning when nothing can be fixed for the day.

I've now officially punted assists. That means Brandon Jennings might be worth more to someone else than he is to me - although his treys, points, and steals still make him quite valuable to me, so it will probably be difficult to find a suitable alternative. But I'll throw the idea out there anyway.

For the record, using all eight categories, I have Jennings ranked around #20-24 overall. Ignoring assists, his ranking only drops to the mid-30s. So I'm perfectly happy to keep him. No fire sale.

I was trying to figure out why you would trade Deron when so low in assists...

I'm going away on vacation for two weeks. I should have some internet access, but I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in.

Got our deal done before you left at least. Two months in the making for that one....

I am looking for some assists and steals to replace Rubio.

If anyone is interested in the third-highest ast/game in the league... I am looking for points, 3s, and/or %ages for Calderon. He played 35 minutes tonight and had another 9 assists. Also take note that Bayless went down with a hip pointer.

I wonder if the reason why Tim Duncan missed tonight's game has the potential to be IS eligible. Box Score

Congrats to the Luebeck Eagles on a dominating performance.

Congrats to me on not finishing last. This was probably my worst performance in any yearly league. An absolute disaster of a season with busts (Odom, Stephen Jackson) and injuries (Billups, Varejao, Rubio) gutting the core of my mid round draft picks.
