Subject: Any interest in a "Busiest Player league?"

Quite a few years ago, someone (KrazyKoalabears, as I recall) set up a "Busiest Player league" for baseball. Roto scoring was used, but the categories were things like plate appearances, strikeouts (for hitters), innings pitched, runs allowed, errors, complete games, etc. For categories like runs allowed and errors, more was better. I thought it was a hoot! But we only did it for one season.
I'd like to try such a league for hoops. Scoring categories might include free throws attempted, field goals attempted, three point attempts, minutes played, personal fouls, technical fouls, double-doubles, turnovers, etc. Categories like fouls and turnovers would be inversely scored (i.e., more is better).
I don't think Yahoo or ESPN will work for a hosting site, because they seem to want to score negative categories (e.g., turnovers, fouls) such that less is better. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that.) It appears that Fantrax could handle it, however.
If you would be interested in joining such a league, please post here. I'd want to get at least 8 managers, and could probably handle up to 20 or so. We could draft at Draftime, just like the RIHC leagues. Rosters would probably not be as deep as the RIHC rosters.
We'd probably have to have a limit on GP, so that success wasn't too dependent on rotating players in and out each day. I don't want this to become a high-intensity workload league. Or maybe we could just allow lineups to be reset weekly, rather than daily.
I'd welcome other suggestions at how to set up such a league. |

Oh, man, Michael Adams is upset that he retired before this came out. Antoine Walker is right now asking his bankruptcy trustee if he is allowed to participate. Volume shooters welcome.
If it was a weekly lineup, I might be interested.

Didn't we do something like this for hoops before?

That was baseball, I think. In any event, there's obviously not enough interest.

I'd be interested in this. I think we did this for hoops a while back. I want to say it was 5 categories: FTA, FGA, 3PTA, TO, and Minutes.
I remember doing it for baseball to w/ PO, IP, CG, PA, and maybe Holds.

I'd be interested, too. Sounds like not too much interest, but maybe now that the other leagues have finished drafting a couple more can chime in here.

We could certainly start late.
