12.12 Henson, John - MIL - C
another 2 rounds went by and I am still in the hunt for a 4th guard. I keep saying the same though: I don't like the available options and don't want to reach. there are some guards I would take in the last 3 rounds though and I hope that 2 of them make it back to me. having said that, I wanted some rebounders and looked at starters or backups that should get significant time and who proved to be successful in the past.

Henson will be a backup behind injury prone Ersan Ilyasova (already banged up and missing more preseason games than planned) and Larry Sanders (surgery last week, probably back for the regular season). his minutes may rely on the health of Ilyasova and the consistency of Sanders, who was not that great last season. as long as he gets 25 minutes he should do ok for my team. everything more and he would not have been available at this point.

13.01 Sims, Henry - PHI - C
Henry Sims is one of the last starting centers still available. He should get a double-double on some nights and he may disappear on others. since there are not many other players competing for his minutes in Philly he may have better job security than a lot of other players available at this point. more minutes should give me more stats. right?

13.04 Jack, Jarrett - BKN - PG
My team is still pretty weak at point guard, and Jack was the best one available. He should have 6th man minutes in Brooklyn, so I can probably count on 4+ assists per game from him. Also, Deron Williams is always getting hurt, so Jack's value can really skyrocket if that happens again.

I haven't intentionally been avoiding swing players this draft. It just happened that way. Lee was just announced as the starting SG in Memphis, and will provide mostly scoring and 3s. And serve as my backup SG.

A post-hype sleeper- if he can even be categorized as a sleeper- he might just be left for naught. After a couple strong years, Ersan took a step back last season. It's a new season, with a new coach, and Ersan appears to be starting.

Nocturnal (in Italy) pick. I have set a queue full of rookies and sophomores. In the late rounds I tried to grab players with upside, so who better then youngsters?
Randle was the first of my queue so i'm satisfied.

13.09 Tucker, P.J. - PHO - SG
Started 81 games and played 30.7 mpg last year, mainly because he’s a physical defender/hustle player. Ranked 30th in steals last year with 1.4 per game, and a very good rebounder for his size. Could be asked to shoot more threes now that Frye is gone, and could even be asked to play some power forward minutes.

A flier.

13.10 Adams, Steven - OKC - C
Adams should be the starting C for the Thunder, I'd be shocked if they returned to " undrafted ". He's averaged 17 points, 7 boards and 1.8 blocks and steals each. Yeah, I know it's preseason, but the potential is there, he's only 21 and the Thunder should lock him in as their starter.

Plus Guru took him with "" pick 132 "" in G20, good enough for me.

He played all 82 games last year. He was up and down at times but figures to get decent minutes with his versatility. Pretty happy with Middleton.

With a flurry of injuries in Washington I'm hoping Porter Jr. can be my super sleeper special. He's looked good in the summer league and preseason so far and looks get his chance this year with Ariza lost to free agency. Hoping I have a hungry young player here.

14.03 Stuckey, Rodney - IND - SG
Trying to find a diamond in the rough…

Stuckey is locked in as the starting SG for the Pacers, and someone has to fill the void by the George injury. Stuckey can score, but historically offers little else.

Maybe this year will be different.

14.04 Miles, C.J. - IND - SF
With Paul George out, someone has to get those SF minutes. Entering his 10th season. Has averaged 9+ points in 19+ minutes for 6 straight years, but has averaged 18+ pt per 36 minutes in 3 of the past 4 seasons. Shot 85% from the foul line last year, and over 80% for his career.

If he gets enough minutes, he should put up useful numbers.

14.06 Barnes, Matt - LAC - SF
Barnes will be starting at SF, though I doubt he will play normal starting minutes given that the Clippers have Crawford & Hawes coming off the bench. He had 2 threes per game in 40 games as a starter last season, and he can produce in steals & blocks (for a wing) as well.

He was the #5 pick in the most recent draft, but may not earn enough court time early in the season to earn time on my fantasy roster. I feel confident he will finish higher than #164 on the player rater at the end of the season. But do I have the patience to reap the rewards?

14.09 Copeland, Chris - IND - SF
I remember from his Knicks days how lethal of a scorer Copeland can be. Last year was disappointing because he got no playing time in Indy. However, this season he is in line for a big role and his last 3 preseason games he has averaged almost 5 three pointers per game. If he can give me more than 3s and points, he will be a steal. If not, he may still be useful enough to warrant a late pick.

It is finally time for some guards.

Latest reports indicate that Cole may start at PG when the regular season begins. this was enough for me to get him with my very next pick. I have not looked at his stats. I am simply interested in a starting PG that gets significant minutes. as previously said: more minutes get your more opportunities. more opportunities gets you more stats.

15.01 Morrow, Anthony - OKC - SF
Anthony Morrow was simply picked because he is still in the hunt for a starting position (SG or SF) on a Durant-less team. he should be valuable for at least the first month of the season. Until then I should know his role and if I still want to hold onto him when Durant is back.

15.04 Dalembert, Samuel - NYK - C
The last starting center left in the draft, and it's nice to have 1 Knick on my roster. He hasn't been anything super the last few years, but if he can get his minutes up to about 27 per game, I think he can still put up 8 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks. My centers are injury prone, so I needed another guy just in case, and Dalembert is a pretty good band-aid.

Last season, Green averaged a career-high 15.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.5 3PT, 0.9 steals, and good percentages in 28 minutes per game. If he can get similar minutes this season, he should find a spot in my lineup.

Price has started the last 3 preseason games (2 where Jeremy Lin did not play, and 1 where Lin came off the bench), and there are rumblings Price may open the season as the starter. A few years back I drafted the starting Laker PG in Smush Parker in the last round, and he returned good value.

My third Thompson! Penciled in as Philly starter, in his second NBA year. 6’8” and can play both SG and SF. Will start the year on my bench, however, and could easily be dropped early in favor of someone more promising out of the gate.

At this point, Bojan is the starting SF for the Nets ( and hopefully Yahoo will grant him F status shortly ). Known as a shooter, he averaged 21 points and over 4 RB's for Serbia in the world Cup. Does that mean anything, I don't know.

16.03 Hilario, Nene - WAS - PF
Injuries have plagued Nene over his career, so I made this pick hoping that he can stay healthy.

If so he can provide solid numbers. He managed 14 points, 6 RB's, 3 dimes, 1.2 steals and nearly a block a game.

If he can even make it through 53 games like last year, I'll be happy with this pick, anything else is gravy.

Otherwise he can probably join Bojan on waivers. "

16.05 Williams, Mo - MIN - PG
For my last pick, watching at my draft, I found out that after Brandon Knight (8th round) I did not take any other PG. So I targeted one of the last still on the board. I had a short list with Nash, Vasquez, Felton, Hinrich and Williams. I selected Williams because he is behind only Rubio (no JJ Barea), so if he goes down i think Mo can handle the job very well and is still a better player than the others.

Last year Roberson averaged 1.9 points per game. I am hoping for an improvement. He has started all but 1 preseason game, one of which included a line of 15 points, 10 bds, 3 assts, 1 stl, 1 blk. I'm happy to give him a one game in season audition before I move onto the waiver wire.

It looks like Barnes will be starting in Golden State, and local media seems to think he plays much better when he's in a supporting role amongst the starters than last year's experiment where he was the primary option with the second team. I'm hoping he can recapture that magic he displayed in the playoffs 2 seasons ago.
