Now that the RIHC draft has finished, I invite each of the participants to share any reactions that they have. Feel free to say as much or as little as you wish. As a guide, you might consider the following questions:

1) Did you have a specific strategy going in? Did it go as expected?
2) What surprised you?
3) How did your approach change as things unfolded?
4) If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?
5) Your best and worst pick, in retrospect.
6) The 2 or 3 picks by other managers that you thought were especially good steals.
7) 2 or 3 players that were selected higher than you had expected.
8) If you had to trade your own team for one other owner's team in the league, whose would you want it to be?

Outsiders who were not participating in the draft are also welcome to share their general reactions.

1) Did you have a specific strategy going in?
Yes...avoid lousy FT shooters
Did it go as expected?
No, I just couldn't pass on Dwight Howard at pick #94 overall

2) What surprised you?
Overall pace of the draft, Jrue Holiday falling to rnd 11

3) How did your approach change as things unfolded?
After drafting Howard in rnd 8, I was especially conscious of FTs on all my draft picks.

4) If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?
I would have taken Jrue in round 10 and hoped Portis would have still been available in rnd 11,

5) Your best and worst pick, in retrospect.
I think Andrew Wiggins at pick 70 is very good value, Lou Williams at pick 147 is not bad, I'm just not a fan of him, if I had taken Jrue at rnd 10 I wouldn't have need Lou. Gerarld Green or Zach Lavine were also availabe then, maybe I should have gone with one of them.

6) The 2 or 3 picks by other managers that you thought were especially good steals.
Obviously the Jrue Holiday pick. Toral with Deron Williams might be excellent, and I think that Knicksfan getting TJ Warren in round 14 is a great pick.

7) 2 or 3 players that were selected higher than you had expected.
Bobby Portis by me in round 10 (Toral, Sanfordors would he have made it back to me?) I thought Covington by Swish in round 7 and Bogut in round 12 by eserel were a bit early.

8) If you had to trade your own team for one other owner's team in the league, whose would you want it to be?
I like the overall look and balance of Steelers team (Kiss of Death here) we could do some deals.

1) Did you have a specific strategy going in? Did it go as expected?

I wanted to pay particular attention to assists, blocks, and FT%. This became difficult as there were so many tempting centers who shoot awfully from the line. I was pretty much able to stick to my plan though.

2) What surprised you?

Usually my targeted players get swiped right before it's my turn. This season that didn't happen as much. I think my positional needs just differed enough from the managers selecting near me that we didn't step on each others toes.

3) How did your approach change as things unfolded?

I realized that I had very few SFs and SGs so I tried to find guys at those positions.

4) If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?

Nothing I can think of right now. Ask me again in 3 weeks when my team is injured and I'm sitting in last place.

5) Your best and worst pick, in retrospect.

Best pick: Damian Lillard or Demarre Carroll. Lillard should have a huge year and will probably be ranked higher than the 9th pick. I was pleasantly surprised with the big minutes and number of shots that Carroll took in the first game. If he's getting 40 minutes a game, his numbers should see a significant rise over last season which would make him a steal.

Worst pick: Maybe Tony Wroten. I don't know if I'll have the patience to keep him on the bench for a whole month or more before he returns.

6) The 2 or 3 picks by other managers that you thought were especially good steals.

Dave R getting Okafor at pick 98 is looking like a great pick after his monster first game. I had low expectations for Okafor but looks like he may be a steal. And Dave R getting Caldwell-Pope at pick 143! That's definitely a huge steal. How did we let him get away with that!?

7) 2 or 3 players that were selected higher than you had expected.

Toral's picks of Robin Lopez and Deron Williams at 72 and 73. I think there were better options available at that point.

8) If you had to trade your own team for one other owner's team in the league, whose would you want it to be?

Steeler G has a great lineup top to bottom. He's thin at point guard but everywhere else looks great. I think he's the team to beat!
