I've sent out emails to everyone (44 managers) who participated in one of the RIHC leagues last year. I'm trying to gauge the level of interest before deciding on how many qualifying leagues to aim for.
If you played last year, please check your email. Look in your spam folder if you don't find it.
I may also be looking for 1-2 commissioners for qualifying leagues. If you are willing to consider serving in that capacity, please email me at davehall@rotoguru2.com.
All leagues will be hosted at ESPN, and will be 12-team leagues with rotisserie scoring using 8 standard categories: Pts, Reb, Assists, Steals, Blocks, 3-pointers, FG%, FT%
Each league draft will be a slow online draft hosted at draftime.com. Drafts will most likely occur during the October 12-23 time frame. The NBA season begins on Oct 25.

At this point, I have only 24 managers committed to be in a QL, and only two commissioners.
That's exactly enough for two full leagues.
There are only three returning QL managers yet to respond, plus one who said "maybe". It seems unlikely that we'll get enough to field a third league - unless we have a lot of duplicate managers (and another commish).
It's still early, but as I'm going to be traveling from Oct 4-19, I really need to finalize things pretty soon.

Time to move forward. Here's the scoop.
Invitations were sent to everyone who managed a team in one of last year's RIHC leagues. 12 of those managers will be in the top RIHC this year. 24 others responded that they would like to participate this year.
Two others also expressed interest in playing this year. Although neither played last season, both have RIHC experience.
With only 26 managers, I thought we have better stick with just two leagues. If we started a third league, we'd need 10 more managers - or duplicate managers.
After considering how to do this, I decided that returning managers should have first priority. So the two new managers (RSF and Florian) will need to be on a waiting list. If we get additional interest, or if one of the 24 returning managers opts out, then they can fill in.
If they do end up sitting out this year, I'll give them priority for a spot next year, even if that means booting out a returning manager.
So here are the two AAA leagues for 2016:
