The NBA season starts very early this year - Oct 17th. So I've already sent out invitations to the RIHC qualifiers, and I also sent out an email to everyone else who played last year, or who was left out last year. Please check your emails (the ones you typically use for RIHC communications) and let me know ASAP.
Last year, we had only two AAA leagues, in addition to the top RIHC league. That totaled 36 managers. I want to get an approximate count before deciding on the number of leagues to set up this year. We still are getting close to 60 managers for football and baseball, but the hoops count is showing a lot of attrition.
I may also need at least one more commissioner. if you might be able to do that, let me know. At the present time, I have only one person who has volunteered to serve and a commish for a qualifying league.

Quick status update.
The 12 slots in the RIHC are filled. I'll start a thread for that in the next few days.
I have 20 people so far for qualifying leagues. I'm still awaiting responses from seven emails sent out two days ago.
My best guess at this point is that we'll fill two qualifying leagues, and that's it. I think I have two commissioners as well, although one is tentative.

I have enough managers to completely fill two qualifying leagues. I will wait until early next week to assign leagues, as there are still a few people who have not responded. If I get more than 24, some will be waitlisted.

I had 26 people apply for a AAA spot. So at this point, 24 are being assigned to a league, and two are on the waiting list. If a waitlisted team does not get in this year, I will give that team priority status for a spot next year.
Anyone else who applies for a slot this year will also go on the waiting list. If we get enough additional teams to make a go of another league, we can do that - as long as someone offers to commish that league. With only two people on the waiting list at this point, getting to critical mass for another league is doubtful.
