trade with GO (Prince) includes his 3.01 for my 6.10
anyone interested in Norman Powell? looks like he will score a ton this season, no matter if he starts or comes off the bench.

Keeping 6 forwards right now. Would love to swap one for a guard if anyone is interested?

With 50 minutes left in the deadline I'd still love to swap a guard for a forward, especially one with decent rebounding stats. I have a few offers out there, but with so little time left, thought I'd see if anyone else had any interest.
Gary Harris looks to have the potential of a pretty elite scorer, with a much better FG% than most "chuckers" (.502% last season w/ 2 3's per game).
Patrick Beverley is also now the starting PG for the Clippers. Should be a nice source of steals, assists, and boards, while chipping in some decent scoring numbers.
Also open to packaging either of the two above with Nerlens Noel if anyone is looking for a 2-1 deal with some really high upside players.

I will have some cleanup to do. I didn't get to the trades before the deadline so I will make those adjustments.
Sadly, skinneej did not notice my email nor the posts in our threads. I am giving him until Midnight ET tonight to provide the name of a replacement keeper.

On ESPN ... I just processed a couple of late trades, and added the keepers to THREE teams that did not click them as instructed. Please check your rosters for accuracy.
Near as I can tell, the ESPN site is correct, and ready to begin the draft.

OK. Draft is open.
Please carefully review the draft order. I did it custom so I wouldn't have to enter all of the offseason trades. I did just enter the yr/GO 3rd/6th swap.....

PS - special thanks to Tosh for the assist. He cleaned up ESPN and processed the trades so that the ESPN database is clean.
My tardiness has left us, for now, with no way for teams to pick up their own players. That will have to reside with me until everyone clears waivers.
Once waivers are done, it will then be each managers' responsibility to pick up their own players in ESPN! Please do so judiciously to help your leaguemates scour the available players.

1.01 Dennis Smith picked after weeks of deliberation.
I’m looking to do one of two things my extra picks.
Package 1.16, 1.18 and 2.01 to trade up to the top 10.
I’d also trade any of them for a 1st rounder next year. I am not going to need this much depth right now.
Why not speed up your timeline and use next year’s top pick this year instead!?!

From the treasurer:
Prize pool dues for the coming season are $15. There is no assessment for a trophy fund again this year, as that is amply funded.
Several managers have funds on account to cover all or part of the dues for 2017: Species, WG (via baseball winnings), and Youngroman are fully covered.
BMD owes only $7.50, as he had $7.50 on account.
Perm Dude has opted out of the pool, so owes nothing.
Everyone else owes $15, according to my records. If you think I have missed any funds on account for you, please let me know.
Payments can be sent in either of the following ways: 1. Paypal: please send to davehall@rotoguru2.com. (Recipient will probably appear as Uncommon Cents LLC.) Designate this as “send money to friends and family”, and mark the payment only as G20 hoops. 2. Snail mail: check can be sent to the address listed at the bottom of this page: http://rotoguru2.com/gurupatron-info.html

NOTE TO MANAGERS: When waivers clear tonight, please make your way to ESPN and pick up your drafted player from the free agent pool and place him on your team! THANK YOU!

I have stopped the draft due to wolfer's picks. While Caleb Swanigan can possibly be defensible, Ty Lawson is not. Lawson is out of the NBA entirely.
I have emailed wolfer for clarification. Even so, I am not sure what answer would fulfill me:
1) Oops. Didn't know. I thought he was starting. 2) I despise this league and am screwing it up on purpose because you voted for Obama in 2008. 3) Is there a 3rd option?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Give me some time in the morning to consider options. Thanks.

After much anguish, I have decided to remove wolfer from the league and draft effective immediately. I did this after conferring with a small handful of managers before arriving at this decision.
In discussing this, considering wolfer's longtime participation in Rotoguru leagues (including the current RIHC AAA, which he is drafting responsibly), I have come to the conclusion that he is not purposefully drafting poorly, but is simply unprepared to properly manage a team in this league. If you cannot research enough to see that Ty Lawson has signed with a Chinese team and is not in the NBA, that does not meet the standards of this league. Adding to that the lack of management last year as the only team not to meet GP minimums (and by quite a bit) and this decision is made easier. I don't mean to crap all over a guy, and I am really sorry to have to even explain it, but it requires explanation. Nothing personal.
One thing I would like the league to keep in mind is that wolfer stepped up to work with PacersFan in the first place to help him co-manage his team......and as PacersFan pulled away he took over. For that, I thank you and I do wish you well.
Unfortunately I do not see a way to turn back the clock and re-do pick 1.02. We just have to pick up the pieces from here and go forward.
==============================
Here is what we are doing:
1) Fred at Draftime is going to replace him in our draft with a second account of mine I just created (how many have been around long enough to recognize the name I made?). I am also hopeful he can reverse the Ty Lawson pick. If not, I will announce a replacement pick and we will move on.
2) WG and I (perhaps with other counsel/input - anyone want to volunteer to assist??) will complete the remainder of the draft for this franchise. We will do so with the thought of setting this franchise up with some upside assets for someone to take over sometime during the year.
3) A good idea in our discussions this morning was made --- the thought of possibly offering this franchise compensatory consideration heading into 2018. Perhaps a 7th keeper....perhaps a compensatory pick like in football in the form of an extra 1st rounder at the end of the round (i.e. 1.21). Think of it like an expansion franchise.
4) blue hen has generously accepted the job of being a temporarily custodian of the franchise just so we can replace wolfer in ESPN right away. He can help with daily roster moves and is wholly authorized to make waiver moves as well.
=========================================
Hopefully this is the best way to handle an unfortunate situation in a decisive manner. Feel free to post comments here -- although flames should be directed to me personally!! In all seriousness, please feel free to reach out to me via email with any concerns.

As soon as Fred can remove wolfer from the draft we will make the switch, correct the pick and turn the draft back on. We will be drafting a rookie so teams behind this pick can get their queues ready with that assumption.

I am using a workaround to get the draft re-started. Instead of drafting Ty Lawson, this franchise is taking Frank Ntikilina, PG, NY.
I have removed him from the Draftime database......so any managers that do not see this message will not be able to draft him. I have picked him up (and released Lawson) in ESPN.
The draft is now ready to proceed.

You're awesome Species! I think that is the best outcome for such a short timeframe. I like the extra keeper idea and could go either way on the compensation pick (dropping 5th and 6th rounder, if a 7th keeper is involved).

I appreciate the quick efforts and agree action was warranted. Not sure I see the need for anything compensatory now. The team now has two good young prospects. Maybe not the two you or I or we would pick but legitimate well thought of prospects. Now we just carry on business as usual in my opinion.

As a last FYI -- our poor speed in drafting has caused us to get to this point only 1 day before the season opens. As such, players will still be on waivers after opening night. That is the cost of some slow drafting....so we will all have to deal with any consequences equally.
