The RIHC summary page is now up. You can get there from the RIHC icon on the front page of RotoGuru, or just go here:

Split stats should be active as well, but I haven't had a chance to test them until we have more than one day of games.

Did anyone else get positional eligibility updates lately? Draymond Green just got C here, which could be a good boost to my squad. It also means that my top 3 picks are all C eligible. Crazy!

So what is the record for most injured early draft picks? Leonard (1)-Gobert(2)-Millsap(4)-Lin(7)-- go Bradley Beal :)

Team Species Dumbass Report:

Well, I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with my mediocrity. But after drafting some injured players in Morris and Batum I kind of thought I would be lagging at this point. Still, I am just crucifying myself over two boneheaded boneheaded draft picks that are likely to lead to my relegation to AAA:

Picking Julius Randle over Robert Covington is going to bite me. I was all goo-goo over Randle's upside for the high pace Lakers. All he has done is anchor the 2nd unit while Covington is a top 25 player in the player rater.

Picking George Hill over just about anyone is just killing me. Shame on me for just throwing him in as a 3rd guy in my queue with 2 picks ahead of me. Should have waited until the morning and made a real effing pick.

That said, I do have some positives:
- What the hell has gotten into Tyreke Evans? 48th on the player rater. Strong FG% and 1.7 threes off the waiver wire?
- Courtney Lee is 60th on the player rater? WTF?
- Kent Bazemore is 66th on the player rater due to a ridiculous 1.8 steals per game. Steals in hoops are nearly as valuable as steals in baseball apparently.

Got a lot of work to do to creep into the top 5. Go Batum!

If I could just get two PGs to be healthy at the same time, I might not suck so bad. Wall, Paul and Rose....pre-season, one would think I had PG and the associated FT%, Assists and Steals categories locked up.

So, it's halfway through the season. What's everyone's thoughts so far?

Honestly, i think this is the most exciting RIHC for a while. There are a whole bunch of teams still in the hunt, and their trajectories are very interesting. The top 3 teams are all running a bit ahead on GP - do any of them have enough of an advantage on those teams in the next tier with 20 - 30 more GP to play with?

I'm particularly impressed by Species charge of late. I've been tracking splits since the start of the year using RotoGuru stats and in terms of raw counting stats, Species is ripping the field apart. AD's recent tear probably partially accounts for this, and he's burning games to do it, but it's really impressive.

If we slice by per game during the same timeframe, things switch up a bit. My own squad seems to be doing a decent job, but i'm ahead on GP, so i've started actively managing that already, at least for a while.

The other interesting thing i see popping out is that youngroman is doing an excellent job of hanging tough during the period he's been missing Harden, and still has strong per games during that period. He also has Vucevic to come back, and i think his squad could have a fearsome 2nd half. That squad looks dangerous and i'm looking over my shoulder for sure.

It's a shame we seem to have a dormant-ish team in the bottom half. Hopefully everything is ok with Wazaaap because he has a pretty nice squad. Not sure that GP deficit can be recovered now without some merciless streaming between now and season end.

Looking forward to a mighty battle in the second half!

Thanks Swish. It is mostly a healthy roster (in spite of Conley) that is pretty solid from top-to-bottom that is doing the damage.

While AD has certainly been insane and his teammate Jrue Holiday has been amazing, in my view it is the great contributions from guys like Evans, Lee, Redick, Oubre and Cauley-Stein (on a nice surge over the last month) along with decent, end-of-the-bench contributions from an improving Randle, Bazemore and Morris that are doing the trick.

Batum has been a bit of a disappointment (although he could turn it on at a moment's notice) and Hill is soon to be relegated to a very spotty role which will limit my bench contributions until Conley returns.

Winning is ALWAYS my #1 goal......however a high finish and return invitation is always appreciated and that is the minimum goal.

Best of luck to all in the second half.

I am lurking in 4th place for a while now. on average 25-30 games behind the top 3.

A big shout out to Porzingis for keeping me alive in the blocks category. I have essentially thrown FG% in the toilet. I tried to improve that but my players don't want to. They still score by far the most points in the league though. Harden is now back, which will improve my suffering assist and steal numbers. I am hoping for the best.

with the current performances of my players I see myself scoring 67 at seasons end. can the top 3 or Species top that? it looks like a very close race.

If youngroman didn't have bad luck, he would have no luck at all. A shame about Porzingas.......and Aldridge taking a few games off now.......his bench looks like a Christmas tree of injury designations. He could easily be winning this league.

no comment to my injury situation. hopefully Aldridge and Vucevic are back for the 1st game after the break. there are some points to gain at REB/STL/BLK.

I see Swish winning and myself in 2nd place.

No idea what will happen. My gut says I'm still in a strong position, especially now the top 4 have leveled out in GP. youngroman is still a danger, but he's running out of time to eke out quality games from that 30 GP in hand.

I've been lucky to get some prime finds on the wire recently. Gallo, Crowder, Rondo, DJ could all be big options for me on the run in. I jumped on a few of those real early. Made some mistakes too but generally positive.

To win, i need to continue to hit strong per game averages, defend the right categories, and hope that the chasing pack continue to trade points between each other.

Should be an exciting run in. Ready!

Don't think I could have done worse this year if I tried. Sorry for the dismal showing--not even spoiling a category for anyone. I really did qualify last year-- I think...it has been a long year! Good luck to all in the running-- fun to watch!

Yeah, this is a true battle now. Very finely balanced, and in truth, it could boil down to random dnps and scrub games, which would be a shame.

Dave, whenever I'm near the top, you're always in my path and this year is no different. Having said that, I do love duelling against you.

Ready for a nerve shredding finish...

Ugh, absolute killer losing Embiid right now. I know I'm hardly the first to be affected by injuries, though.

Big couple of weeks now. Dave now a clear favourite, and I'll hang tough and try to post between 70 and 72 points. That would give me a chance.

Enjoy the run in - Dave, Species, this should be a nerve shredder!

Not sure my nerves can take the run in. Lead changing daily now and it's a coin flip situation.

What a finish!

Guru, in the event of a points tie, is there a tiebreaker, or is the title shared?

Serious finish upcoming.

Interesting moves Swish, deploying your recent pick ups, Rabb and Birch, both paid off with decent lines.

Eyeballing the standings, I think I'm maxed out a 71 points, barring anything unforeseen, and there's a possible loss of a couple points in a couple categories.

Swish, I see a possible 71 points for you as well, so yeah, this is real close.

Incredible finale tonight, guys. I feel at quite a disadvantage considering I can't be around for game time decisions, but what will be will be.

I'm very proud of the way I've defended my lead until the last day, and have to give huge credit to the guys I'm fighting with in Dave R and Species. This could literally go any way. Each of us might end with the title outright or totally empty handed.

Enjoy the night. I'm glad I don't have to sit through the tension and can just wake up to the results in the morning. One of my most fun RIHC experiences ever!

Final results are in, kudos to Swish, what a finish.

One block, WCS, seriously could't you have blocked one shot last night.

But I give you credit Swish, the unlikely cast of characters you rolled out last night somehow shot .517 to bring you to a virtual tie with Meatwads in FG% at .4612. I'd love to know what that 5th decimal point is, but I suppose one made shot, or one missed by Meat's team along the way tilted FG% your way.

But back to WCS, one blocked shot would have generated a tie, which somehow would have seemed appropriate the way this season went

Well played.

Dave, I honestly spent about 3 hours yesterday tinkering with my lineup, deep diving the free agent pool to find Kornet. In the end, I picked a lineup that I thought could best defend you catching me in 3s, Species overtaking me in blocks and give me a chance to push for a FG% point. I only considered the latter an outside possibility as I had .004 to make up at the start of the night. My team had been shooting incredibly in April, so I let it all hang out.

The reality is I got a bit of luck. When I went to bed, just after the Portland game had started, the FG% points were changing every minute. More specifically, every time CJ McCollum shot, my place switched with Meatwads. If CJ had literally shot 9-18 instead of 8-18, I think I would have lost that point, and you would have won outright.

Also, I knew I was in trouble when WCS was on deck and Species needed just one block from him to remove the go ahead 1/2 point from me. I'm shocked that didn't happen.

In the end, I got some luck, but I sure as hell worked hard for it. Who knew that Frank Ntilkinia, Luke Kornet and Luke Kennard had it in them to win a championship?

Dave and Species were incredibly unlucky not to win and Guru would have caught me had the season lasted a bit longer as well.

All this tells me is that the trades I made for FG% were totally validated in the end, despite damaging the overall performance of my team. I just could not have won with Mitchell and Rubio throwing bricks so often.

Amazing season, well done all. I've been involved in close finishes brute but nothing like this.

Congrats Swish. Well deserved victory.

And you are welcome.

I outsmarted myself last night. While true, at the start of the West Coast games we were tied in blocks and I had Willie Cauley-Stein going at night. One small block and you and Dave tie. But if I had started Nurkic instead it wouldn't have been an issue anyway. But Jrue Holiday (one of my best picks of the draft - he was a MONSTER) was not only red hot in blocks lately but was stealing the ball at an incredible rate lately seemed like the better overall pick. I was not only trying to pass Swish in blocks but catch Guru in steals.

As it was, even my perfect lineup last night of George (how ballsy was THAT to start Jerami Grant over Paul George) and Nurkic over Holiday and Grant still would have left me at only 69.5 (pass Swish in blocks and tie Guru in STL) with Dave and Swish at 70.0, and I would have been 3rd anyway.

A great season - a real blast seeing 3 and then 4 teams fight all the way down to the wire. Makes me regret most of those George Hill starts the first 2 months of the season, I tell you that!!

Congrats Swish and to the rest of the top 4 of Dave R, Species and Guru.

Too bad Andre Ingram was never added to the system and didn’t get to play in our league.
