12.11 Harrell, Montrezl - LAC - C
Played in 76 games averaging 17 mpg last season. He contributed 11 ppg, while shooting a gaudy 63.5% from the floor. If he can rebound a little better, he might have the starting job .

12.12 Aminu, Al-farouq - POR - PF
After the sexier pick of Sexton in round 11, I’m taking a safer seasoned veteran here to help shore up my rebounding. Aminu should continue to start at PF, where he logged 30 minutes per game last season. He’s my first (projected) single-digit scorer, but I think that category may be one of my team’s strengths, so that’s no big deal. His shooting percentages aren’t great, and that is a bit of a concern. But he should make positive contributions to the other counting stats. At the end of round 12, you have to either take someone to fill in your stats, or someone who you hope will break out. Aminu is the former.

13.01 Vanvleet, Fred - TOR - PG
VanVleet was in the discussion for last season’s sixth man of the year (finishing third), and should continue to be the first one off the bench in Toronto. The departure of Derozan may open up more regular PT for him. More importantly for my team, he’s the primary backup to my top PG, Lowry. I don’t yet know to what extent I may use him while Lowry is healthy, but he’ll be an automatic fill-in if/when Lowry is out. It’s possible that I could have waited until the next turn to get him, but his handcuff utility elevated his value to me.

I now have six guards rostered, and five are listed only at PG. I sure hope my token SG (Donovan Mitchell) stays healthy!

I like Spencer Dinwiddie, as he was a pleasant surprise last year while D’Angelo Russell was injured. He was the only Net to play 80 games last year.

13.03 Bridges, Miles - CHA - SF
all starters worth something are basically gone. I don't see much upside in picking any of them other than to replace them with the hot pickup in week 1. So I better guess who these players might be.

Bridges has a solid preseason, he is expected to play at 3 positions (sf, pf, c), which should provide my team some position flexibility. he is only 20 and it needs to be seen how he does when the games count.

13.04 Morris, Markieff - WAS - PF
Kieff is starting as of right now but is set to get some nice minutes even when Howard returns. He's not a traditional big man but adds a three a game, doesn't kill fg% or ft% and decent boards. Not much upside here, seems like I've said that for a lot of my picks, am I playing it too safe? Guess we'll see.

13.05 Bradley, Avery - LAC - SG
In Doc Rivers I trust. Seen a few articles lately on Doc using younger guys more. Come on, its Doc. Hasn't met a rookie he couldn't squander on the bench. FREE AVERY!

I've got a need for another G/SG, and I've had him queued up for a round or two. Injury last year...check. I'm hoping for a standard line from him of a 1.5+ 3s, 1+ steals, with solid G percentages.

Ugh. I stuck Gasol in my queue for later in the draft and thought I had auto pick off so I could pick someone else later. I was asleep during prime drafting time and my turn came up. Stuck again!

13.07 Bogdanovic, Bojan - IND - SF
Again, needed 3's. Looked at the other dude with a similar name, but he's coming off knee surgery, so...

Bojan doesn't seem to have much competition at the 3 for the Pacers, and rarely misses any games, knock on wood..

He averaged over 14 ppg, over 3 boards, nearly 2 triples per game, but little else.

I'm OK with that with pick 151

13.09 Rondo, Rajon - LAL - PG
Back in the stone age, when I played some ball in college, I preferred to make a good pass rather than take a shot. Rondo is a disciple of this same style of play. He’ll be a valuable contributor for me in ‘Assists’ and ‘Steals’. And more so if he can run as a starter. Because passing to LeBron leads to more assists than passing to undrafted.

13.10 Lyles, Trey - DEN - PF
Maybe a bit of a reach here (maybe alot) but I was looking to fill a PF and I didn't like the other options. He's looking like the 6th man for the Nuggets able to play either forward position(in real BB not on ESPN). Paul Millsap is getting older and if Lyles gets a bump from last year's 19 minutes a game (which seems likely), he'll improve upon his 10 points, 5 boards and 1 3pt. He's still only 22 so should also see a natural progression as he approaches his prime.

Because of the departure of LeBron, I expect Hood's offensive numbers to improve this season. Last year he averaged 14.7 points and 2.1 3PM. He also has SF eligibility.

13.12 Rozier, Terry - BOS - PG
There is literally no chance that Kyrie plays 82 games. Scary Terry proved last season that he is a starting level PG and filled in admirably during Kyrie's multiple absences. He should also hold standalone value backing up both guard slots. A fair chance that he lives up to his moniker of #1 handcuff in fantasy basketball.

Ideally wanted a F eligible here, but the best players, ironically at this stage, i thought were centers. I went with Len over Zeller and Willy because he had a clearer path to minutes with Dedmon out.

Belinelli should play over 20 minutes a game in a bench role for the Spurs. He is a good 3 point shooter, and is one of the best foul shooters in the league. SF eligibility gives me some flexibility.

14.03 Ariza, Trevor - PHO - SF
Young guy last pick, old guy this pick. Should contribute points, 3s, steals with a few boards mixed in. Main worry is the competition for minutes at SF for a rebuilding team that should be concentrating on developing its young core. If he starts losing minutes, he'll find himself on the wire.

As the 14th man on my roster, I’m looking for a player that is supposed to be a starter now … rather than having upside at some point later in the season. He’s not a sexy pick, but he is currently listed as a starter for the Clippers. He’ll provide basic bottom-end big man stats.

14.06 Thomas, Isaiah - DEN - PG
Someone would have to take him, may as well be me. I'm actually surprised he didn't get picked earlier.

We all know the deal with Isaah. Yeah, he's been hurt, and yeah lest year was a lost year. But he's only one year removed from an almost MVP season, where he averaged 28.9 points, 6 dimes, 1 steal, 3 RB's and 3.2 treys.

Denver is loaded with offensive talent, and if Isaah makes it back on the court ( probably when, not if ). He probably wont ever approach being the same player he was in Boston. But in round 14, I'd be happy with counting stats at 50% of 2 years ago.

14.07 Monk, Malik - CHA - SG
A pick I intended to make! Yes! Jeremy Lamb has always disappointed. It seems for 4 years he has had a chance at a breakout and always gets hurt or is just outperformed. Monk was a high pick for a reason as a long scoring guard with high potential. I think he can still be useful while coming off the bench with 7th round value if he gets a starting role.

Hoping he turns out to be Trevor Ariza. Not a light version, but a carbon copy of last season's. Preseason numbers look fairly solid, so we'll see how those 3s and steals translate. Solid FG%, but light on attempts.

14.09 Simmons, Jonathon - ORL - SF
This is a position choice as much as anything as I wanted another option for SF. Simmons puts up decent points, and won't kill %'s. A three a game and almost a steal would be nice. Hey it's the 14th round if he sticks on the roster all year that would be great.

14.12 Lin, Jeremy - ATL - SG
Looking for guys who could be useful bench strength, filling in stats as needed, and maybe even vulturing some (real life) bigger roles due to injured teammates. Then again, Lin’s recent history suggests he is the more likely player to be injured, having played in only 37 games in the past two seasons. The Hawks will be bad, so they’ll most likely want to give Trae Young as much playing time as needed to develop. But a healthy Lin should still get enough time to be marginally useful. And he’s only my second player eligible at SG.

15.01 Green, Jamychal - MEM - PF
I had Green on a different team last year, and he was surprisingly productive, with 10 pts and 8+ boards per game in 28 min/g. Rookie Jaren Jackson may crowd out his PT this season; projections suggest about a 10% drop-off. That still leaves enough room to be a useful bench player in as deep fantasy league. His stat profile may even turn out to be a better fit for my starting lineup than Aminu.

I had Lin and Hezonga at the top of my que but they were gone when it got back to me. Trey is supposed to start right now but Nkitilina will get a lot of run as well. Well. I'm pretty light on guards and George is a guard. That's about it. He's been named as the starter, for what that's worth, Collin Sexton and all. Cleveland is going to be relegated to the G-League, if not the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga.

I bet for George, this feels like Sacramento all over again. Damn you Vlade.

15.06 Hernangomez, Willy - CHA - C
Back to back Charlotte bench players??

Well....at the end of the draft you are going for highly marginal starters or bench guys that can offer production with upside if their situation changes. Hernangomez has always been a stats per minute monster, racking up pts and reb in limited minutes. He must he awful on defense because he certainly seems to produce from a fantasy perspective. Zeller is no stud....so I am hoping Wily can take over and get 25 minutes a game.

15.07 Bullock, Reggie - DET - SF
There doesn't seem to much love for Reggie out there, although he was taken at pick 158 in another RIBC, so with pick 186, maybe I'm getting him at a discount. Most " expert " drafts seem to ignore him.

It's round 15, and I grabbed a starter, so far so good. Bullock started 52 games last year for the Pistons and posted career highs in every category. Over the final 30 games he averaged 14.8 ppg, 3.3 RB's, 2 assists and 2.6 threes. Even though he contributes nothing in the way of steals or blocks, those numbers seem OK to me.

I'm curious as to how ESPN calculates position eligibility as they have him as a SF, and he in fact started 32 games at SG

If I'd known about White going down, i probably would have selected another player who could contribute immediately. Still KP with my final pick holds zero risk and could have a huge upside. Going into the last 4 picks, I wanted to add 1 of each of the positions except C. He doesn't need to play huge minutes to be a significant source of assists if that category needs help. Locked in as the back up PG, he likely stays on my bench unless an injury either forces one of my players out of the lineup or Dennis Smith misses significant time.

After filling my 12 starting lineup slots … I had four bench slots to fill. The ages of the first three are 32, 32, & 34. I need to add some youth to the bench. 31-year-old Wesley Matthews is that guy!

He’s not the player he was in Portland, and appears likely to lose some of his minutes to younger Mavericks, but he’ll provide an ample number of 3pts and steals.

Game on!

Got to love the name.

I never thought I'd draft Nerlens, but with my last pick, why not. It seems for ever we've been gushing about his ability to fill the box score. Well, for some reason he seems to be injured, maybe in the wrong situation, or maybe just not good enough.

He now finds himself in OKC. Steven Adams is firmly entrenched as the starter, and I know that isn't changing anytime soon. But we keep saying, if only Nerlens can get playing time.

Just noticed, the other night, in 34 minutes, 14 Boards, 2 dimes, 3 steals, 2 blocks.

Yeah, preseason I know., but in round 16, why not. If he is tied to the bench, the waiver wire might be calling his name.
