Subject: Ultimate Hoops Top Division Prize clarified

Sorry we've taken so long in tackling this issue. We've considered some of the suggestions that were given on how to handle the Top Ranked Division prizes, and settled on this:
Top Ranked Division. All entrants in the Top Ranked Division at the conclusion of the Game will each receive a one (1) year subscription to The Sporting News magazine. In addition, the entrants with the 10 highest point totals of this division will receive a $U.S.50.00 check in his/her name. The Top Ranked Division will be determined as the single division (with at least ten (10) entrants) that has the highest mean point average of its top 10 highest point totals.
Guru, we considered your top 50% suggestion, but decided to keep things simpler.
The official rules and Prizes page on our site will be updated tomorrow morning with this information.

Waitasec. I just realized that if the number of teams we're comparing is always 10, then ranking the mean and ranking the total of their points is exactly the same thing.
So, just to make it simpler for people to understand, we'll be ranking the totals of the top 10 teams in each division.

Well I have two teams in an autodivision and I recognize one other gurupie, so if seven other guys step up I've got it made. Actually, if anyone reading knows of any gurupie divisions with room I would like to move over.

That makes at least five top 50 candidates to me...well, at least i hope so, i'd like to win $50 too :-)

For clarification on the GM's Division -- if Bernie or I are in the top ten, are scores will not count toward the div scores. We'll pull the next highest score in this event. (Based on my performance in football, I don't see this being an issue).

I don't think that will be a concern Erik because the SmallWorld Order will dominate this year. I'm in the process of recruiting some players from last year and we will have a top 10 that stacks up against anyone!
