Since there's been alot of talk on the boards about "paying" lately, it reminded me that I (personally) haven't made a contribution to this site in about 7 months.
We have seen the adverse(debatable?) effects finances and the realities of the Internet have had on some of our favories sites such as Sandbox, Rotowire, SmallWorld, so if you can afford a donation, why not take time to do it now?
donation instructions
or visit the RotoGuro store for some cool stuff.
Top 10 things I like about his site:
10. I feel as if I have met my alter-image in RSF 9. Nobody looks at me strange when when I talk about allhair allstars.
8. The only place I know where a person signs his name w/ a single letter: "J"
7. It's actually encouraged to be a 'lurker'
6. Management is responsive to the clever moniker: "ATTN: Guru" Wouldn't it be nice to get everyone's attention that easily in life
5. I am witness to someone breaking the unofficial world's records for most fantasy teams: IRRIDUCIBILI LAZIO
4. It's a good place to shop for a computer
3. The humor of Blue Hen and Perm Dude
2. It's still free and doesn't crash. The site also doesn't employee "over-active" employees.
1. Dave doesn't post here asking for contributons. And it's the right thing to do.
The check is in the mail.

A few months ago I signed up for an on-line service called PorivoPeer. It is a program which tests web site responsiveness in the background while you're on-line. They pay (small) amounts of money every month if you're on all the time like I am, and they do it through PayPal. So I've decided that my on-line habits can actually be used for some good by just transferring those amounts monthly over to the Guru.
One of the best parts of this site is that I know there are some here who just read through the above without getting too bored with me. Gotta love that.

Points well taken. More often than not, I simply hang around -- absorbing both the wisdom and the silliness, both of which have become important to me. If I can afford to play for pay, I can surely remember to stay current with payments here.

I guess I should send another donation into Guru pretty soon. I'm not even sure what I sent last time. Also, Perm Dude, I signed up for the program too, using you as my referral. So if anyone wants to sign up, use BoNkA or PermDude as their referral (PermDude is what I used and it worked...).

Just sent some dough. I look at it as the best investment that I've ever made.
