guys, I have the dreaded curse. I picked up Nazr coz he was playing well, then he played s h i t for a week and then he dropped 12 & 12 plus 3 stls. Damn it. In replace of Nazr I picked up Elden Campbell who has seemed to take Nazr's place nicely scoring me a measly 15 TSNP. I've also had Jamison when he was in his slump, Dirk when he was playing badly. Why do my players always suck. Has this happened to anyone else. P.S. how could I forget Tinsley. AAAAARGH!

I was in the exact same situation. Picked up the same players too and i got their worst performances. I don't regret droping Nazr though...

It's a well know curse. Any player that Bandwagon picks up will do one of the following:
1) Get injured
2) Start performing poorly
3) DNP because he overslept!!!

I feel your pain J-Dub, I've had Nazr (went to Elden), and Dirk during the bad spells, I also had Alvin Williams the first 3 weeks of the season when he averaged about 23 TSN points a game. This is after he averaged 33/g the 2nd half of last season when Toronto made him the starting PG. Oh well, I guess I'll blame Alvin's bad start on the nba for going to the zone, yea, that sounds good. :)

PS I traded Oscar Tinsley for Danna Barros before Tinsley's Oscar like performances!

I knew it, BW caused that Tinsley -> Barros trade to blow up in my face. Now I can sleep knowing it was out of my hands. Never underestimate Bandwagon's curse.

The trade that didn't bite me in the ass last night was Barry -> Baron after Barry's 62.5 game. I thought Barry would be tired and not put up over 30 again and Baron would gain me some $$$ that I am recently in need of.

It's too early to pass judgement on that move, THK. That was pretty much a lateral move that may net you 5 TSNP/game and Davis is taking up more $$$ than Barry was. We'll see.

I hope they both do great ;)

I'm in the same boat you are J-Dub. The best smallworld strategy is for everyone to wait and see who i pick up. If you have him, then get rid of him. And wait to see who I get rid of....then pick him up. It's guarenteed that you will succeed. :)

Very true Ender. But I was thinking that I have had enough of Barry and Payton, so I lost one of them. I had the money so I made the move, it worked out well yesterday, and I hope it continues to help mine team.

I thought it only happened to me. It seems that at least one of my players last year had an injury as soon as I bought them or they started scoring poorly. I too am glad to know that it was out of my hands. :)

How do you get tired of 2 guys who have a nice schedule and are producing well?
