I really don't know what all this really means or why I wasted my time on it. But I know this made me feel even worse about season & my trading ability. Best Possible Drafted Rosters First off, this is FREE Game team analysis (reason why will be obvious below). I wanted to see what the best possible drafted roster would have been for the season. So I decided to start programming. Here is what I did: 1) Take all the players and get their price from the start of the season & final snp total. (Thanks Guru) 2) Hmmm, 439 players... 5 positions... Lots Of Possible Combinations. Solution? OPTIMIZE THE HELL OUT OF THE CODE. 3) Maximum Salary of $30 Million (of course). 4) 2 G's, 2 F's, 1 C (of course) 5) Minimum SNP total of 14750. Made up this number to reduce the amount of crunching by the code. 6) Return only the top 16 rosters. Writing the 1st script to go through all the combinations took no time. The optimizing, to have it finish within a reasonable about of time, took some time. And here are the results... Best Possible Drafted Rosters | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Kidd, Jason | G | 10480 | 11140 | 3604.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Nesterovic, Radoslav | C | 2370 | 2740 | 1730.5 | | | 29020 | 35260 | 14770.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Payton, Gary | G | 10110 | 10420 | 3598.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Nesterovic, Radoslav | C | 2370 | 2740 | 1730.5 | | | 28650 | 34540 | 14764.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Miller, Andre | G | 8720 | 9680 | 3485.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Barry, Brent | G | 4490 | 5010 | 2742.0 | Nesterovic, Radoslav | C | 2370 | 2740 | 1730.5 | | | 29500 | 35420 | 14997 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Miller, Andre | G | 8720 | 9680 | 3485.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Miller, Brad | C | 4230 | 4680 | 2175.5 | | | 29120 | 35740 | 15096.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Davis, Baron | G | 8160 | 8720 | 3182.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Kirilenko, Andrei | F | 500 | 1590 | 1988.0 | | | 29780 | 35280 | 14847.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Davis, Baron | G | 8160 | 8720 | 3182.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Miller, Brad | C | 4230 | 4680 | 2175.5 | | | 28560 | 34780 | 14793.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Barry, Brent | G | 4490 | 5010 | 2742.0 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | | | 28610 | 35490 | 15307 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Williams, Alvin | G | 5710 | 5220 | 2260.0 | | | 29830 | 35700 | 14825 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Duncan, Tim | F | 10920 | 12480 | 4152.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Barry, Brent | G | 4490 | 5010 | 2742.0 | O'Neal, Jermaine | C | 7770 | 8870 | 2672.0 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | | | 28430 | 35260 | 14850 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Garnett, Kevin | F | 11420 | 11890 | 3895.5 | Miller, Andre | G | 8720 | 9680 | 3485.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | Miller, Brad | C | 4230 | 4680 | 2175.5 | | | 29620 | 35150 | 14840 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Garnett, Kevin | F | 11420 | 11890 | 3895.5 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Barry, Brent | G | 4490 | 5010 | 2742.0 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | | | 29110 | 34900 | 15050.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Payton, Gary | G | 10110 | 10420 | 3598.0 | Davis, Baron | G | 8160 | 8720 | 3182.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Kirilenko, Andrei | F | 500 | 1590 | 1988.0 | | | 29720 | 35340 | 14784.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Miller, Andre | G | 8720 | 9680 | 3485.0 | Mcgrady, Tracy | G | 9700 | 10750 | 3372.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Kirilenko, Andrei | F | 500 | 1590 | 1988.0 | | | 29870 | 36630 | 14861.5 | | Player | Position | Starting Price | Final Price | SNP Total | Brand, Elton | F | 8600 | 8670 | 3283.0 | Davis, Baron | G | 8160 | 8720 | 3182.0 | Wallace, Ben | C | 7950 | 9100 | 3129.0 | Gasol, Pau | F | 3000 | 5510 | 2887.5 | Tinsley, Jamaal | G | 2250 | 3390 | 2396.5 | | | 29960 | 35390 | 14878 | | The best roster above has a final SNP of 15307. That is only 1437 SNP out of Top 100 WWR. TD Swapping Then I started thinking, what if you had only swapped out Duncan when he had a bad schedule? So I wrote I simple script to check when Duncan had 2+ days off and then find the best player for that span. Here are the results. Date | Replacement Player | Games Gained | 11/11 - 11/12 | Orlando F | 2 | 11/14 - 11/15 | Nowitzki, Dirk | 2 | 11/17 - 11/20 | Garnett, Kevin | 2 | 11/25 - 11/27 | Webber, Chris | 2 | 12/02 - 12/03 | Memphis F | 2 | 12/08 - 12/11 | Nowitzki, Dirk | 3 | 12/16 - 12/17 | Webber, Chris | 1 | 12/24 - 12/25 | Davis, Antonio | 1 | 12/27 - 12/28 | Robinson, Clifford | 2 | 12/31 - 01/01 | Brand, Elton | 1 | 01/12 - 01/13 | Marion, Shawn | 2 | 01/20 - 01/21 | Garnett, Kevin | 1 | 01/27 - 01/28 | Brand, Elton | 1 | 02/05 - 02/06 | Nowitzki, Dirk | 2 | 02/16 - 02/18 | Nowitzki, Dirk | 2 | 03/17 - 03/19 | Garnett, Kevin | 2 | 04/01 - 04/02 | Webber, Chris | 1 | 04/14 - 04/15 | Coleman, Derrick | 1 | | | 30 | Assuming an average of 35 SNP per replacement player then 30 * 35 = 1050. For 36 trades used (1050/36 = 29 SNP per trade), this is simplistic strategy but it was a simple script. The highest SNP total of rosters above is 15307 + 1050 (from TD swapping script) = 16357. That is only 387 SNP out of Top 100 WWR! NOTE: As with everything, I try to make sure that everything is accurate but there may be mistakes. Final Notes 1) I had fun this season. 2) I had way too much time on my hands today. 3) Comments/Complaints/Concerns welcome.

Funny how Tinsley and Gasol are on practically every roster, I'm pretty sure it would be the same with Ultimate.

Yeah i think so also. If I have some free time this weekend, I may beef up the code to handle the 10 player Ultimate roster.
