As many of you recall, I participated in a 12-team "experts" league hosted by fantasyref.com. The primary raison d'etre for the league was the preseason draft, complete with contributed analysis of each pick. But we also played out the season, and it appears that most of the managers remained active throughout, even though trade activity was sparse.
After a fast start (I led for most of the first month), injuries started to get the better of my team. Still, I finished the year in fourth place, which I'm reasonably satisfied with. The winner was David Klyce, the producer of Hoopsklyce.com (and also a GuruPatron of this site!) Congrats, David! Second place went to David Gonos of FantasyRef.com, and third place was won by Chris Liss of RotoWire.
I just put together a retrospective look at my original draft, and also developed an "if only" roster, essentially selecting a team that could have been drafted at the time. This will ultimately be published at the fantasyref site, but for now I have posted it as a new "Hoop Pointers" essay.
As far as I know, the league will continue next season. Hopefully, I'll find a way to move up in the standings. |

Thanks for the update. It was neat the way you shared the draft with the rest of us.
