0 Subject: Players that you will never...ever...pick up again

Just curious......and kind of off-topic...but for fun.

What player will you never...EVER...pick up again? ( regardless of whether they are putting up a million points a game and/or is playing 15 games in a row )

My #1 guy that I would not pick up used to be Iverson ( when I got burned by him about 3 or 4 years ago ). But my new #1 player is Bonzi Wells....closely followed by the entire Blazer's roster....then Iverson.

( Yes....I was one those stupid people that decided to pick up Bonzi at the beginning of the season, decided to waste my last trade somewhere else to "wait and see" during Bonzi's "4 in 5" schedule despite his price dropping like Enron stock. I then got burned when his "4 in 5" became a "3 in 5" with 1 game suspended. )

From a few years ago I have Doleac, Cato, and D. Armstrong on that list, and I'm sticking to it.

Mike Bibby. Not because I don't like him or think he's a bad player, but he just never plays well when I have him on my roster. I've got burned several times by him last year.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Also one of those players that never plays well while on my roster.

Funny, both ex-Grizz players.

I Gotta agree with Great One. Eff Derrick Coleman. I'll also agree about Iverson, too. Cost me first place in my division last year. :(

Pack, Coleman, Bonzi . . . add Big Dog to the list after he tanked in the week I got him.

I've actually had good luck with Iverson.

Terrell Brandon and Tyrone Hill for pure dumb team loyalty reasons.

I forgot to add Tinsley. I will not pick him up on my TSN league....I got burned by him real bad last year during the first half when he was doing real good. Not because I lost money...but because I dropped out of him early ( when he got injured ) and then he turned around and did real great.

Out of sheer principle......I decided not to go back into him. Funny how pride can get involved in trading.....

Its like dumping an ex-girlfriend who cheats on you......no matter how much she decides to put out after you dump her.....you will not go back to her after you are burned by her.

Benoit Benjamin. THE worst excuse for a basketball player I've ever seen. 7 feet of dead weight. Look up the word "stiff" in the dictionary and you'll find his picture!
Oh, has he finally retired? GOOD!

Kevin "I suck" Garnett. I drafted this guy expecting at least 65tsnp per game and all he can give me is 51.7? WTF!

Shawn "Bad Tall Guy" Bradley. So I move Amare Stoudemire to this fellow, about a week ago. Sure he put up 23.5, 45, 50, 14.5, and 42...but c'mon, I want consistency! 14.5???? That's not why I paid over a million dollars for this herb.

LOL Knicksfan

Besides Bonzi and Coleman, I would have to add Jason Kidd for me. He has never played well when I've traded into him. Still haven't forgiven his poor play 2 years ago when I held him through the money losses to be rewarded with a dnp.

Iverson has generally performed well for me.

Knicks Fan....35tsnp per game for a lousy 2 mil and you complain how it's distributed?

I guessing already had to much herb.

Footwedge, it was actually for less than 2 million. For me, the .5-2 range is where I want consistentcy at about 20tsnp/game. The 35/game is great and all, but I'd rather see him put up 20 night in and night out.

The reason those guys are $.5 - $2m is that TSN predicted them to be inconsistant. The consistant 20/night guys are more expensive than that. You're asking too much.

Tejada? That is such a joke. The MVP should be given to the MVP. Not the team MVP, and I'm not even sure he was the team MVP. What about Zito, Mulder? A-Rod definently got screwed the second year in a row.

Clifford Robinson...there was a point last year where the two best options at mid-range forward were Robinson and Kenny Thomas. KT was supposedly hurting and Robinson was on a tear. So I get Robinson, who proceeds to put up stinkers while Kenny goes on 35 tsnp/game tear. Ruined my season.

Ray Allen gets the nod. I was 2nd in my division all last year until I finally took the lead on the second last day of the season. I picked Ray Allen for his final must win game, thinking he'd be at least decent - he got me 6 and I fell back to 2nd. Never again.

Oh, and Coleman head, shoulders and injured ankles above the rest.
And Webber - you don't need risk when you are spending 9.5 million on a guy.

John Stockton. As big of a fan as I am of him, he is just too old! I'm sorry John, but it's time to retire. You've had a great career and are arguably the best PG ever but it's time to hang 'em up. We'll miss you buddy. :-/ (tries to hold back emotions)

Charles Oakley. He would've been great to have back in the days when George Gervin was cooking "Charles Oakley's Sticky Buns", but I think it is safe to say his career is just about over now.
